They ended up on your doorstep, quite literally. Bloody, possibly. Bruised, most definitely, though the wounds may be mental. You probably don't know them from Adam, yet you couldn't find it in you to turn them away - whether they wanted you to or not. So you opened up your home, just for a little while.

But it's getting to be more than a little while. Both of you are finding a comfort zone, because you didn't simply open up your home. Admit it or don't, but you've opened up your heart all the same.

Their's is slowly following, if its reluctant at all.

Gabriel sat up with a start. He'd fallen asleep at his desk and it was either so late it was early or so early it was late. He wasn't sure which, but he was pretty sure the imprint of his laptop on his cheek.

For a moment, he wondered what was going on, who he was and why he was awake. Only the jerk-wad frat boys would still be awake, surely. They were probably throwing rocks at the windows again, or ball of soaking well toilet roll.

But he's too tired to do anything about it. He has lectures tomorrow.

He shuffles, trying to make himself comfortable again, and then there's a knock on the door. Well, it sounds more like someone kicking the door.

That was the sound that woke him.

"Alright! Alright! I'm coming..."

It had been a freak cosmic accident, involving Infinity Stones, and Loki, and Celestial technology. A rift in time and space was opened, and somehow, another him had fallen through. Bruce wasn't sure how to react, at first, but he was hardly going to turn a version of himself away. Not a chance.

So he had welcomed the man into his home, and into his life, even as they tried to figure out a way to send him home. Even as they shared their stories about themselves, and about the Other Guy. Even as they did their best not to make each other angry, or frustrated, or 1stressed. Even as a mission arose and their enemies didn't plan on two Hulks arriving.

Even with all of that, they were still somehow in the same house and sane.

Bruce was finding he wasn't sure what to think, but that slowly, over that time, he had come to trust, and care for, his other self. How could he not? Either he would come to trust him as no other or hate him as no one else. And he had chosen trust.

Or it had chosen him. When he saw the other Bruce, he knew, without a doubt, that here was someone he could talk to, at least, without fear, without anxiety... with rage, but without ever having to be sorry for it. Because he understood.

And that made all the difference in the world.

Rebecca had been back in town for a few weeks, getting the lay of the land, so to speak, and what a land it was. It hurt her heart to see what had happened to her beloved clinic, and the glades as a whole. It had taken her years to feel fully functional again, and many hours of training and rehab.

She watched as Oliver and another man, left the roof, creeping out, and going to her husband's side.

It was one of those things where she kind of fell against the door, tried to get back up, and fell against it again, which sort of turned out sounding like knocking. The entire ordeal was probably littered with swearing, and she was leaving a pretty little array of blood spatter on the ground outside his door.]

[It's usually not this bad. At the very least, he's always been able to handle... these sorts of situations, well enough to take care of himself at least. But even so, there's always a risk of some sort, which is why he's so against cross-dressing at all but especially so outside of school.

And so, against his will once again, he had been forced out of his comfort zone for the sake of encouraging the tennis team of his all-boys academy as they played a game away from home. It was fine enough... as fine as it can be, anyway, until the very end when the crowd got too wild to control. Normally, there's a number of preventative measures to keep anything from happening, but they all seemed to fall through. Before he knew it, he got separated from his two cross-dressing comrades and was facing a group that was too intense to take on single-handed. The only option left was to run, and this is where he finds himself now.

And who knew they could be so persistent? It's all he can do to stay ahead of them, especially given his current dress, high heels and everything, after all this time to which he has still not accustomed himself. Running low on options, he rounds a corner and knocks on the first door he happens upon.

He's not injured save for his pride (which is suffering some massive damage even as he knocks), but he's desperate here.]

[She'd run when the first bullet had hit her, just a graze, but she knew she was outmatched. There was too many of them, and Nyx was under prepared, and very much outgunned. There wasn't supposed to be people trying to kill her here, this was supposed to be an easy pick up.

She was going to have a serious discussion with the higher ups when she got back.

Whenever that ended up being, possibly after she finished her blind run which was slowly turning into a disorientated stagger the longer she kept going. So maybe the graze was worse than she originally calculated.

Nyx had no idea how long she'd run before her shoulder impacted with a solid surface and she stumbled, barely managing to sit down before she fell back down the staircase she'd climbed, guess here was good enough to rest.]

[He'd managed to drag himself from the fight, and his back falls heavily against the door of a house that he didn't recognize or even knew was a house to begin with. The blood in his eyes obscured his vision, stumbling towards the first big huge shadow that he could see. The rest is needed, but instantly regrets falling against the door as hard as he did. A loud thump rings out, teeth gritting with the pain.

Would he die here? The fighting had only gotten worse, and he was lucky to escape. He's not even sure where his gunman was. Probably destroyed. He doubted that anyone even knew about the attack yet. It had been so swift, there was no time, and with his inexperience he hadn't even lasted that long.
