On Your Doorstep

On Your Doorstep
They ended up on your doorstep, quite literally. Bloody, possibly. Bruised, most definitely, though the wounds may be mental. You probably don't know them from Adam, yet you couldn't find it in you to turn them away - whether they wanted you to or not. So you opened up your home, just for a little while.
But it's getting to be more than a little while. Both of you are finding a comfort zone, because you didn't simply open up your home. Admit it or don't, but you've opened up your heart all the same.
Their's is slowly following, if its reluctant at all.
1. Comment with your character, preferences, & what role you'd like to play.
2. Tag others.
3. Thread

Sam goes even redder and looks like he wants to crawl into a ball and die. "I'm not cute. I'm a stupid clumsy moose and trips over his own two feet and gets the crap kicked out of him on a daily basis....I'm nobody."

"Although I don't think you're a nobody, Sam Winchester. I think you do a lot more for people than you ever let on. A+ student by day, hero by night, that's you."

Sam shakes his head again,. "I'm not Batman Gabe," he says softly, "I'm just a guy who grew up poor and now is trying to make himself better. Nothing special about that.":

Sam laughs. "Nah if anyone is Superman it's my brother Dean. He's not scared of anything and he's done things most people would be terrified to even think about. Me I'm Robin maybe or Aquaman at best, The hero no one seems to notice."

Sam has to think a second then he smiles. "Cas right he's your brother. The weird guy in the coat...kinda stares at me all the time. Lois Lane does seem apt there. He gets into trouble more than I do."
no subject
But he shrugs. "The point is, you are awesome. I noticed."

Sam blushes again. "So we both noticed each other a lot," he says, "that's good. Really good. I've been meaning to say thank you by the way. For saving Jess from that intruder when I went out of town a few years ago."
no subject
But what Sam didn't know, and Jess had no memory of couldn't make either of them freak out.
"You said thank you plenty at the time." Gabriel reminds him. In fact for a while it had been pretty much the only thing Sam could say to him, and while it felt nice at first, after the three-hundredth time, it didn't give Gabe butterflies anymore. "I was just... in the neighbourhood. No big deal."

Sam knew exactly what Jess had been saved from, Azael had happily thrown that fact in his face during the whole Cold Oak situation he had just been unsure of how to broach the subject with Gabriel. He doesn't want to have to hunt the man he has a crush on if it turns out he should be.
"Uh huh," he mutters, "six blocks in the other direction."

He was certainly not keeping an eye on Sam and his friends. After all, he was just a humble barista and student of business and marketing. How could he have saved a girl from a demon? Demons didn't ever exist outside of BtVS.

"Gabriel," Sam says softly, "can I ask you a question? It's okay if you don't want to answer religion isn't everyone's thing." Sam sighed softly.
no subject
Honestly? He was a little worried about what Sam Could want to ask.
no subject
"No...not really," Sam says softly, "I wanted to ask if you believed in angels...like from Heaven with wings and all that."

Sam looks at his hands for a long moment. "Dean and I are going through something and....people claim angels are involved. I used to believe in angels I really did. But now I'm not so sure." He looks up. "I trust you Gabe and I'd really like to know what you think."

"I wish I could," Sam says, "I wish Dean had never come back and found me. But I screwed up Gabriel...I screwed up bad and I have to fix it somehow. And the best way to fix it is.....well it's bad."
He laughs softly. "But if I told you you'd call me crazy."

"I started the end of the world," Sam says, "demons and ghosts are real and angels are too. My brother and I hunt the stuff that goes bump in the night." Sam looks at Gabriel to make sure he's still there and listening.

"I thought when you came out here to school you were going to be safe from all of this kiddo."
He sighs, "But I guess as soon as that shit happened with Jess, I should have known it wasn't going to be that easy. I wanted to keep you out of this as much as I could."
He should have gone to Sam before, kept him from making stupid mistakes, stopped the seals breaking... but he hadn't. He'd just thought Sam being here would be enough.
no subject
Sam looks at Gabriel and anyone who knows him could be able to see the storm brewing on his face. "What the hell do you mean you wanted to keep me out of this? What are you?"
no subject
"I want to help, Sam. I've always said if you need help you can come to me, about anything. You just thought I meant coffee or essays. But I meant more than that."
He looks at the young man across from him, and sighs. "I told you my name when we met. I didn't hide it." He didn't lie about that. He just didn't admit it.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. But there wasn't exactly a good time. Here's your caramel macchiato with extra whip, by the way I'm an angel?"
no subject
Sam stood up and stared down at Gabriel about ready to explode with fury. "So what you were sent here to get me ready to say yes is that it? Did you save Jess from the demon so I'd owe you or something?"
