On Your Doorstep

On Your Doorstep
They ended up on your doorstep, quite literally. Bloody, possibly. Bruised, most definitely, though the wounds may be mental. You probably don't know them from Adam, yet you couldn't find it in you to turn them away - whether they wanted you to or not. So you opened up your home, just for a little while.
But it's getting to be more than a little while. Both of you are finding a comfort zone, because you didn't simply open up your home. Admit it or don't, but you've opened up your heart all the same.

he was hesitant, but sure as he spoke. "I would say we're thinking on similar wavelengths. Might be interesting when others find out, but... despite how odd this should be, I've never had a brother before, and never wanted one. Now I know what I missed, and I would rather it never left."
His cheeks were flushed red, and he felt like he might just vanish in a puff of anxiety, but at the same time, somewhere deep inside him, he could feel the Other Guy's agreement. Bruce wasn't the only one to find a brother.

Bruce smiled shyly. "It would be strange for a while," he admitted as he too leaned forward. "I've never had family either, my real one was never really family to me. But I think being here has been good for me...and you I hope. And the other two. I'd like.....to see if this is where I belong."
