On Your Doorstep

On Your Doorstep
They ended up on your doorstep, quite literally. Bloody, possibly. Bruised, most definitely, though the wounds may be mental. You probably don't know them from Adam, yet you couldn't find it in you to turn them away - whether they wanted you to or not. So you opened up your home, just for a little while.
But it's getting to be more than a little while. Both of you are finding a comfort zone, because you didn't simply open up your home. Admit it or don't, but you've opened up your heart all the same.
Their's is slowly following, if its reluctant at all.

[Why had she come here, of all places? She tried one final time to get up, just in case he was home. She couldn't have him finding her like this. He'd worry, or worse yet, he'd ask what happened.]

There is a knock on the door. It just be the take out he ordered, and so he takes his time getting to the door.
Once it opens, his lips part and he nearly drops his cigarette. ]
Ryuko-kun?
[ what did she do now she wasn't scheduled for a fight this evening. He would have been there keeping a sharp eye on her.
He always felt like he needed to do that since her dad passed. ]

Aikuro watches her struggle for a moment, taking in the damage that was done to her. Why was she getting cold feet all of the sudden? Did she really mean to go to another door? What door? The only place he could think of for her to seek refuge was Mankanshoku's residence, and that was a bit of a distance from his little run down apartment.
He doesn't chase her, but he does step out of his residence. ]
—What did you do to yourself?
[ he can give you a ride, you know. Isn't your friend's dad a doctor? ]

[The entire time she says all these things she's still leaning on the scissor, but she's managed to shift so she's standing mostly on one leg, the other one crossed at the ankle of the first and one hand held flippantly out to her side.]
[Of course, that lasts all of two minutes before she has to shift her weight, and she stumbles, making an alarmed sort of squeaking sound before dropping to one knee, staying upright mostly by way of planting her palm against the ground.]
