(Disclaimer: Characters don't actually have to be aware anything's different and it probably works better if they're not anyway, this is wish fulfillment right here)
 

1. SUPERHERO WORLD: Put on your capes and keep your undies on the outside kids, it's time to save the world. Only those with the coolest names and the least crappy powers can survive in a world that doesn't understand. And something about responsibility I guess.
2. PIRATE WORLD: Because a whole meme dedicated to pirates isn't enough, it's never enough, never. Swash those buckles and put Errol Flynn to shame.
3. COWBOY WORLD: More lawless outlaws and people who don't need no stinkin' badges. Just make sure you're not the kind who wears flamboyant pink or you might mess up the timeline.
4. ROCK STAR WORLD: Sex, drugs, and stupid-looking outfits. From Gaga to Mercury to Richards to Jones, these proud innovators of the musical world (and other guys who played music I guess) pioneer new ways to look ridiculous and still get laid all the time. CATCH A PIECE OF THAT MAGIC AND BECOME A JUKE BOX HERO.
5. ROBOT WORLD: I don't even know anymore I'm just throwing this in here for the hell of it. You're robots. I guess do whatever robots do when they're not fantasizing about calculators.
6. DETECTIVE WORLD: Hard-boiled flatfoots chase crooked criminals in the black-and-white streets of a vaguely early 1900's America because that's the only place that ever had hard-boiled detectives, shut up, it's historical fact.
7. POTPOURRI WORLD: ROBOT COWBOY ROCK STARS. WHO ARE ALSO DINOSAURS.

I rescind the apology I was going to give for this meme because robot cowboy rock star dinosaurs.

[It was a hot, sticky day in Gotham. The kind of heat that just kind of sat there like a lazy man in front of an all-day marathon of The Shadow.]

[She paid the heat little mind, of course. That's what the slow-moving ceiling fan was for. And the modern portable AC unit she snuck in the room just before the scene started. Hat tipped over her eyes, the young vixen kicked up a pair of high-heels onto the desk, leaning back in the chair. Waiting for the next client. Or at least her partner to return with those doughnuts he promised her.]

[And so help him, he better have glazed, or they'll be a new murder for Gotham's not-so-finest to have to solve.]

[Her fabulous partner walks in shortly after. Despite the heat, he's wearing both a fedora and a trenchcoat because he's a detective. In one hand, he's carrying a box of doughnuts of every flavor they had. Including glazed.]

Okay, so the glaze might be a little melted but I got the doughnuts.

[At the sound of doughnuts, she kicks off from the desk, spinning once in her chair before turning to face him. Grinning.]

'bout time. What took you so long?

[He sets the box of doughnuts down, flicks open the lid, and grabs the chocolate with sprinkles]

[Too far away. She shifts from her seat right onto the desk, letting her legs dangling over the edge as she reaches back for one of her precious glazed. The gooeyness of the melted sugar coating just made it taste that much sweeter.]

Or did the public pool run out of towels again?

[He digs through the fridge for something to drink. If you have any preferences, Zatanna, best tell him now.]

Nah, I think it has to do with brown-outs all over the city.

Maybe. See, they're happening all over the city but only in certain neighborhoods. Like...ones with banks and museums.

[She catches it easily enough, eyebrow raised]

Because that's not suspicious at all.

And you didn't mention that part earlier because...?

[He pops open his Coke and downs some. Aaaah.]

Too bad we won't get paid for investigating the brown-outs. Not unless the police get desperate.

We could always end up with a client. [He says this but, well, they haven't had a client in days. So it doesn't sound all that convincing.]

[She's already making her way over to the coatrack, grabbing her trench and throwing it on]

Or we could just go and find one for ourselves.

[As she fixes her hair, she closes the gap between them]

[Jokes aside, she lowers her gaze and absently fixes his coat lapels so that they were straight and even.]

Don't want to investigate without my partner.

[Smiling brightly.] I'm ready to get some good ol' gumshoeing on, if you are.

[Her fingers linger beneath the flaps for a moment, smiling softly to herself before she lifts her gaze.]

[He was already setting up for the next gig. It was nothing major. Take down a few top gang leaders, make it look like the other side did it. No biggie.]
