Everybody has them. Some are louder than others. Some are stronger. Some are overwhelming, and sooner or later you just give up fighting. But there are other people around you who want to help you - maybe they're suffering too, either because of your inner monster or their own. Or maybe they're one of the lucky ones with demons that don't howl so much.

You can help each other. It's better than the alternative.

ANYWAY. as far as demons go uhhh i mean there's this whole thing where he was an assassin for 20+ years and has eternal regrets about all of that. he's particularly haunted by his murder of the empress but really all of it's still there, lingering. he's also haunted by his Mission his so-important Mission to kill the outsider aka the god of his world, so that's a thing.

so he could definitely use some work on his demons, but he could also give a shot at working with someone else's as well. there could be some mutual working-through of demons? idk, but if you want an old ex-assassin who has a lot of Regrets and may or may not be dying, here's yr guy. ))

Oh and when she's finally able to escape she loses like half her nose to frostbite. Someone give this girl a freaking hug.

It's no wonder that, as occupied as he is, Rhys bumps into a stranger on the sidewalk. Back at Hyperion, he'd respond with a snide remark and maybe threaten the other man. But he wasn't at Hyperion anymore. He'd destroyed Hyperion, overloaded Helios's power core, and sent the station hurtling towards the sun-baked desert of Pandora. Eden-V is a civilized planet.
