Everybody has them. Some are louder than others. Some are stronger. Some are overwhelming, and sooner or later you just give up fighting. But there are other people around you who want to help you - maybe they're suffering too, either because of your inner monster or their own. Or maybe they're one of the lucky ones with demons that don't howl so much.

You can help each other. It's better than the alternative.

ANYWAY. as far as demons go uhhh i mean there's this whole thing where he was an assassin for 20+ years and has eternal regrets about all of that. he's particularly haunted by his murder of the empress but really all of it's still there, lingering. he's also haunted by his Mission his so-important Mission to kill the outsider aka the god of his world, so that's a thing.

so he could definitely use some work on his demons, but he could also give a shot at working with someone else's as well. there could be some mutual working-through of demons? idk, but if you want an old ex-assassin who has a lot of Regrets and may or may not be dying, here's yr guy. ))

Jeyne lost her father when she was 11~12, was shortly after forced into prostitution for about 2 years, then she was forced to marry a man who treated her like absolute dirt (raping, beating, humiliating and generally causing her pain and misery) while simultaneously having to pretend to be someone else. Oh and when she's finally able to escape she loses like half her nose to frostbite. Someone give this girl a freaking hug.

For this meme I'd like to play an older Jeyne who is in a safe place where she can finally start to deal with and heal from her various traumas. ]

[Her? Demons? Oh yeah, you betcha. Let's see: physical & emotional abuse survivor, once-a-Marine-always-a-Marine who'd served in the sandpit hell that is Afghanistan, oh and aliens. Lots and lots of aliens. And let's not forget Hydra. So, yeah. PTSD much?]

[Killed his brothers for not loving him enough. Spent most of his life in an institution. In love with his niece.]

[Physical and mental abuse, turned into a weapon by the government. Suffers from sever PSTD and brain trauma that keeps her from regulating her emotions properly.

Also a decently powerful telepath/empath, just to add to the fun]

[ fell to the dark side, nearly took over the republic and destroyed the jedi order, publicly redeemed himself by killing his former sith apprentice, still estranged from the order for his grey view of the force. there's a lot of death in his past. ]

[zack is a serial killer currently on the run from a death sentence. he has plenty of other demons in his past, however, like the illegal orphanage he lived in for a time and was forced to bury the bodies of the other children. prior to that he was set on fire by his own fire. soooo, yeah, there's a lot with this boyo.]

(Oh what is he not running from? His demons are literal, inside and out. He is a demon, cursed after dying not being the villain of this story but sure working hard on becoming one.)

(I'd love to thread something set post-TFTBL. It'd be perfect to play out with a Vaughn, but I'm open to other canonmates, since I'm not aiming for a shippy thread. For obvious reasons, I won't play this one out with a Jack. Post-canon Rhys has a lot to run from. If there's a Fiona, we could even hash out what went down in the vault.)
