Quick! Run! Hide! Scream! Flail uselessly! That's about all you'll be able to do against... whatever we're all afraid of. Um. What was that, again? Well, nevermind, it's scary anyway.

If you're a character in this meme, you have suddenly found yourself amidst a group of people, all of whom are panicking about... something. For the moment, it's not immediately obvious what that something is, but it seems like they all know something you don't. Maybe there's a tornado coming. Maybe there's a sudden flea infestation and you just haven't gotten swarmed yet. Maybe Cthulhu is just around the corner. Maybe everyone but you is mind controlled and trying to get away from crazy delusions of aliens landing and all singing Nyan cat in about fifteen different keys.

Or maybe it's all just a false alarm that's gotten out of control. But can you really afford to assume that?

Will you join in the flailing, try to snoop out the root cause, or be the one trying to get everyone else to just calm down already?

Rules
1. Your character will run into other characters in the midst of the panic.
2. Write the reason for panicking in the subject line, or label it as open for responders to make up. (Or leave everyone clueless, that works, too!)

No, I didn't think to before we left Hero's Duty...

[She had easily gotten them under control, but what if there were stragglers? Or what if some of them had laid eggs in Burger Time. If that was the case, it could take a while to track down all of them.]

I think everyone's here...and I'll start giving them names right away!

[She's pointing at each of them now as they're loading onto the train.]

You'll be Snuffles, and you'll be Cuddles, and you'll be Honeydew, and you'll be Squiggles, and you'll be 'Lil Bits, and you'll be Sparkles, and you'll be Glowy, and you'll be Pee-Wee, and you'll be Gumdrop...

Okay, good.

[As she's naming them, Ralph's keeping a mental count as best he can, that way they can at least attempt to make sure they all get off this train, across Game Central Station, into the Hero's Duty train, and back to their own game.

It had been easy the first time, but now that they had gotten a taste of freedom and food, would they still be easy to keep control of?]

[Every so often, one of the Cy-Bugs would attempt to wander from the pack. Like now.]

Oh, no, Squiggles, you mustn't do that. Stay with the group, now...

[And when Squiggles didn't...there's that look again. The Cy-Bug is once more behaving. As long as Fluttershy sees a Cy-Bug trying to leave, it's not going anywhere.]

[Ralph's doing his best to keep them in line as well, his large size is good for blocking the way, so most of them don't even think about trying to pass him.

The train is going to be awful full once they get all the Cy-Bugs loaded on.]

[Well, they're at the train now, and Fluttershy is carefully seating everyone.]

There you go, there you go...there should be enough room for everyone...

[Only things on this train are a LOT tighter than they were before. Odd.]

...is it just my imagination, or...are they bigger than they were before?

[Ralph frowns with a nod.] Yeah, you're right...

I bet they grew when they ate the food. [He takes a breath.] It'll be okay as long as you can keep them under control. Maybe they don't realize that they got bigger just yet.

[If he panics, then the Cy-Bugs will probably freak out and that's the last thing they need, so he's doing his best to stay calm.]

Oh, goodness! I didn't realize they were so young and would grow so quickly! They really must have needed something to eat!

[She's petting one now. Really, she'd probably get excited if one laid an egg...]

[Ralph nods.] I didn't either...I really didn't know anything about Hero's Duty when I snuck...er...entered it.

[Laying eggs on the train was the last thing they needed. And if they didn't hatch immediately, then Ralph was going to have to carry them all back to their proper game and hope they didn't hatch in the process.]

I didn't know anything, either! I haven't been out of my game very much at all before...but there are so many interesting creatures out here, I just had to see!

There's a lot of different people of all different shapes around at all the games. Though none of the other games are as scary as Hero's Duty...

Oh, really? Oh, dear...I didn't mean to go to a scary game...

What's your game like, if you don't mind my asking?

[Ralph sighs, he's not gonna lie to the pony.] I'm the Bad Guy in my game. It's my job to wreck the building and the Good Guy, Felix, he fixes the mess I make.

[Great, now she was going to hate him too, just like everyone else who knew that he was a Bad Guy did.]

Oh!

[She seems a bit surprised, but...]

...but you're not scary like everypony says Bad Guys are.

[She smiles at him.]

In fact, you're a very nice guy. Not everypony would have helped me herd these Cy-Bugs!

[Ralph freezes when she says this. Nobody, really, honestly, truly, nobody has ever said that he was nice. Sure, some of the other Bad Guys has said something confusing about not being bad even if you were Bad, but he didn't really understand it.

He can barely believe that she's saying this to him. It can't possibly be a trick, she seems much too kind to lie to him.

Ralph stares at her for a moment before speaking quietly.]

You...you really think so?

[Fluttershy considers this and gives him a nod.]

I think so! You haven't been mean to me at all, and that's what everypony says a bad guy would do...and you've been so helpful with the Cy-Bugs!

Huh... [He might be close to a breakthrough on what Zangief was saying about being a Bad Guy, but not a bad guy. Ralph doesn't quite get it, though it was phrased a bit oddly and Zombie didn't really help matters.

Ralph sighs.]

That doesn't matter to some people. To them, no matter what I do, I'll always be a Bad Guy. That's why I was in Hero's Duty, that's why I wanted that shiny medal.

That guy told me that the medal even says HERO on it! Once I nab it, then everyone will know that I'm good! And then the Nicelanders will invite me to parties and I'll get cake and they'll like me, too!

A medal? That sounds nice, but you can have parties without medals, can't you?

[She smiles.]

I'm sure if you came back to my game, my friend Pinkie Pie would throw a party for you!

[Ralph shook his head, he sounds rather sad.] No. I wasn't even invited to the 30th anniversary party. But, Gene said I could even live in the penthouse if I got a medal, so I've just gotta get one!

[He looks surprised for a moment before quickly switching to childlike excitement.]

Really?! A real party with dancing and music and even cake?! Would I be able to pick the flavor of the cake and eat as much as I want and nobody would yell at me if I accidentally wrecked anything?

They didn't invite you? That's so sad...

[She gives him a nod.]

Pinkie's parties always have dancing and cake! I'm sure she would be happy to let you pick...

[Now, the wrecking thing, that might be a problem, but...]

And I'm sure if we had the party outside, wrecking things on accident wouldn't be much of a problem at all!

[Besides, the ponies deal with Derpy. They can roll with a little Ralph destruction.]

I don't mind most of the time, but they even invited characters that belong in other games and that was the last straw.

[Ralph beams.] Man, that sounds great! [He'd rather have a party inside just like where the Nicelanders had their parties, however, the rooms were too small and they never even considered taking them outside so that he could be comfortable and less of a hazard.

He's thankful Fluttershy thought things out and was considerate towards his needs.]

If we get these bugs back before the arcade closes can we go to your game and talk to Pinkie Pie?

Oh, they did? That's horrible! Leaving you out like that, poor thing...

[She smiles.]

I'm sure we can! Believe me, Pinkie loves throwing parties any time!

[And for any reason. A NEW reason to throw a party would probably be very welcome to Pinkie. Fluttershy hasn't thought of the reaction bringing a Bad Guy into her game like that might be, but she's sure everything will be fine!]

[Ralph can barely contain his excitement. Really, all he wanted was a party and some appreciation and a few friends. If he can get that from Fluttershy and her friends, then he'd be pretty content. He might even decide to stay in the Equestria game all the time after hours and only go back to Fix-It Felix Jr. when he was on duty.]

That's great! We'll need to hurry so that we'll have plenty of time to get everything set up! [If they could have a party today or tonight, that'd be even better!

As far as Bad Guys go, Ralph's a really sweet one, if the others can get over his appearance and not make him too angry, then they should get along just fine. And if things go really bad, then Celestia should be able to handle the situation.

Ponies are a little more girly than Ralph usually likes, but he's thankful to have someone be kind to him, no matter what they look like.]

We'd better hurry and get these poor little Cy-Bugs back where they belong, then! But don't worry, Pinkie can set up a party in no time!

[Ralph's excitement is infectious, and this has reaffirmed Fluttershy's belief that everyone needs to be shown a little kindness. Even bad guys!]

[Ralph nods, this task was looking better, as soon as it was done, then he could get a party and have some friends!

Though, this means he may not be paying as good attention as he should, in order to get it done quicker.]

Right! We're already doing pretty good, we just have to get them off the train, across the Station, and back to Hero's Duty! It'll be easy!

[Ralph is appreciative of Fluttershy's kindness, nobody has taken the time to be nice to him or pay any attention to him. If they had, he wouldn't have gone to Hero's Duty to prove himself.

With all the talk of a party, he's forgotten about the medal for now. But when he does remember it, he might be pretty upset.]
