Quick! Run! Hide! Scream! Flail uselessly! That's about all you'll be able to do against... whatever we're all afraid of. Um. What was that, again? Well, nevermind, it's scary anyway.

If you're a character in this meme, you have suddenly found yourself amidst a group of people, all of whom are panicking about... something. For the moment, it's not immediately obvious what that something is, but it seems like they all know something you don't. Maybe there's a tornado coming. Maybe there's a sudden flea infestation and you just haven't gotten swarmed yet. Maybe Cthulhu is just around the corner. Maybe everyone but you is mind controlled and trying to get away from crazy delusions of aliens landing and all singing Nyan cat in about fifteen different keys.

Or maybe it's all just a false alarm that's gotten out of control. But can you really afford to assume that?

Will you join in the flailing, try to snoop out the root cause, or be the one trying to get everyone else to just calm down already?

Rules
1. Your character will run into other characters in the midst of the panic.
2. Write the reason for panicking in the subject line, or label it as open for responders to make up. (Or leave everyone clueless, that works, too!)
3. ?????
4. CHAOS!!!!! And, you know, profit.

[Ralph stands up and starts ushering the Cy-Bugs out and back into their own world.

This crazy mess is almost over! And he can almost taste that cake!]

We made it!

I'm so glad! Poor little things, I guess I shouldn't have uprooted them like that!

[The Cy-Bugs are all filing off of that train now...and oh, look, that's such a pretty shiny light off in the distance! They all seem rather interested.]

They certainly do seem happy to be home!

It wasn't a bad idea, they just went crazy.

[Ralph watches them all leave towards the light, he has no idea how the Beacon works and that their new friends are flying to their blissful deaths.]

Yeah, I'm glad for that!

[Once they're all off, he's gonna do another search through the train, just to make sure everybody is off.]

I think it was just too much stimulation for them--it's not like this game has much in the way of scenery! Oh, but it's a very nice game for what it is, I didn't mean to be rude...

[Yeah, that light is really pretty, isn't it? Looks so harmless and peaceful.]

Did everypony get off okay?

Nah, you're right, it's a miserable place. I'm only here to get a medal, but I didn't think it'd be this bad.

[It's the nicest thing about this game, everything else is dark, violent, and scary.]

I think so, I don't see any other bugs on the train.

I'd hate to have to live in a place like this...

[She seems relieved that all the bugs are gone.]

That means we can get out of here, right?

[Ralph shakes his head in disgust.] Me too... No wonder that guy was acting all weird. I might live in a dump, but it's a lot better than here.

[He nods excitedly.] Yeah! Let's go meet that friend of yours!

[Ralph pauses.] Oh, wait just a minute, lemme get out of this armor real quick. Won't be needing it where we're going.

[It takes a bit for Ralph to squirm his way out of the badly-fitting armor. A few pieces had gotten stuck, but it didn't take long for him to remove it. However, poor Markowski might have to repair his armor or even get a whole new set of it. It'd never be the same after Ralph had gotten ahold of it.

Once he's free, Ralph dumps the armor on the ground near the entrance and goes back to Fluttershy. He had worn his comfortable old shirt and overalls underneath the armor, so he hadn't needed to change into them.

He also might smell somewhat worse than normal, but that'd be fixed with some fresh air.]

Ready to go?

[Fluttershy very politely decides not to comment on that smell because hey, he just got out of that armor stuff. She gives him a cheerful nod as she climbs back into the train.]

Yes, I am! I think I'll be glad to get out of this game, but I might come back to visit the Cy-Bugs sometime...

[Ralph follows her back into the train, stretching slightly.]

You will? Wonder if they'll remember you.

[He has no intention of ever returning, unless there really are no other games that have medals for the taking.]

I think so...poor things didn't seem as though anypony ever showed them any kindness. If I don't, who will?

[The train starts moving again. Hooray, leaving the world of Hero's Duty!]

[Ralph thinks this over quietly.] The point of the game is to shoot them, I don't think anyone really has been nice to them. And they didn't seem to be too nice until you showed up...

[Once it starts moving, Ralph breathes a sigh of relief and relaxes against the seat.]

That's a shame...maybe if everypony didn't have to shoot at them, they'd be nicer!

[Fluttershy doesn't seem to enjoy the ride because it's dark and kind of scary without all those Cy-Bugs there to distract her, but she cheers right back up again once the train has arrived in Game Central Station.]

Oh, good, now we can go to my game!

Maybe... Though, it's their job to be shot, without them, there wouldn't be anything for the players to do.

[Ralph brightens up immediately as Fluttershy says they're going to go to her game.] Great! We should have at least a little bit of time to get things planned out!

Oh, don't worry, Pinkie's very good about throwing parties even if she doesn't have a whole lot of time to plan!

[And Fluttershy is going to start heading towards that game that says "My Little Pony" once she's sure Ralph is sticking with her.]

[Ralph's going to follow her closely, he's never been to her game, so he's not sure where it's at. Besides, as long as he's with her, they'll accept him better than if he wandered in on his own.]

Really? That's great! Will she have enough time to do it tonight?

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't worry too much! Pinkie Pie can throw a party at the drop of a hat!

Oh, here it is!

[Fluttershy has stopped in front of the gate for the My Little Pony game.]

Are you ready to go inside?

[Ralph nods to Fluttershy with a grin.] I haven't been more ready for anything in my life!

[He was finally going to get a party of his very own!]

Let's go, then!

[All aboard the MLP train! And when the train rolls into the game, well...several of the ponies there seem rather surprised to see Fluttershy there with Ralph.]

[Ralph clambered into the train, barely squeezing into a cutesy car. It's uncomfortable, but he's managing.

Once they arrive inside the game, he puts on a big, friendly smile and waves to the ponies passing by. If he's friendly, maybe they won't dislike him here.

He's got one chance to make a good impression, Ralph's hoping he doesn't wreck it.]

[The ponies are all kind of warily eyeing Ralph because...hey, that is a Bad Guy. What is Fluttershy doing bringing a Bad Guy home?!]

Oh, hello, everypony, this is my new friend, Ralph...

[This is helping ever-so-slightly, but they still seem a bit weirded out by this.]

Hey! How's it going? Nice to meet you! [Ralph's chattering out niceties off the top of his head to everypony that looks at him. He's doing his very best to be pleasant and non-threatening.

But he may not be watching where he's going, and he is awful clumsy...]

[Ralph, watch out! Oh, that poor tree, losing its branch like that...and that poor pony that almost got hit by that poor tree's branch...and, oh...this is turning awkward fast.]

Oh, oh, don't worry, that was just an accident...

[Ralph was unhurt by the tree, but now he's accidentally started an awful chain reaction.]

Sorry! Look out! [He had tried to catch the branch before it fell, but he was too slow and ended up tripping over another pony in the process, landing with a very loud and solid thud.]

[At this point, Fluttershy's just hovering there trying to avoid getting hit by anything herself, because this has sent the other ponies bolting away.]

Oh, dear, oh, dear...are you okay?

[Ralph stands up with a sigh, brushing dirt off of him.] I'm fine, how's everybody else?...

[He hadn't even been in this game for 5 minutes and he was already wrecking everything. Was that a new wreckord?]
