Quick! Run! Hide! Scream! Flail uselessly! That's about all you'll be able to do against... whatever we're all afraid of. Um. What was that, again? Well, nevermind, it's scary anyway.

If you're a character in this meme, you have suddenly found yourself amidst a group of people, all of whom are panicking about... something. For the moment, it's not immediately obvious what that something is, but it seems like they all know something you don't. Maybe there's a tornado coming. Maybe there's a sudden flea infestation and you just haven't gotten swarmed yet. Maybe Cthulhu is just around the corner. Maybe everyone but you is mind controlled and trying to get away from crazy delusions of aliens landing and all singing Nyan cat in about fifteen different keys.

Or maybe it's all just a false alarm that's gotten out of control. But can you really afford to assume that?

Will you join in the flailing, try to snoop out the root cause, or be the one trying to get everyone else to just calm down already?

Rules
1. Your character will run into other characters in the midst of the panic.
2. Write the reason for panicking in the subject line, or label it as open for responders to make up. (Or leave everyone clueless, that works, too!)
3. ?????
4. CHAOS!!!!! ~~And, you know, profit.~~

Really? The way the others were reacting, it seemed like they didn't happen too often...

[Ralph puts a hand behind his neck.] Usually when I cause an accident, everybody yells at me.

"Well, they don't happen really super-amazingly often and I think part of it's probably because they've never seen a giant hairless ape before!"

Um...Pinkie...they're called hyuu-mans...

[Yes, Pinkie may think Fluttershy just brought home another weird animal...]

And there's still no reason to yell. It's not like that's going to make everything better...

[If Pinkie wasn't being so kind, he'd probably take offense to that comment.]

Huh, they haven't? There's a lot of humans in the other games, but none of them are as big as me...

Yeah, well, it's my job to make a mess of things in the game, so they already aren't happy with me. When I mess up, it just proves to them that I can't do anything right.

Most ponies don't go out very often...we're all very happy here in our own game most of the time...

[Fluttershy seems surprised.]

But if it's your job, then of course you should be good at it! That's not fair of them to get upset because you're doing what you're supposed to do...unless you were being mean to them about it, but I don't think you'd do that...

It seems like a nice enough place, I guess.

No! I mean, there's a couple of things that are programmed to happen, but I'd really rather not hurt anybody. I don't know why they don't understand that it's just a job. After hours, the only time I wreck things is on accident.

But all they see me as is a Bad Guy.

Oh, that's horrible of them! You're really a nice guy, even if you have to be the Bad Guy...

[Would a really nasty Bad Guy have helped with those Cy-Bugs? Nope.]

[Ralph's shocked by this and stares at Fluttershy for several moments.]

You really think so? I mean, the Bad-Anon guys said something about being a Bad Guy but not a bad guy, but it didn't make much sense to me because the people in my game think I'm nothing but a Bad Guy all the time...

[She nods.]

I wouldn't have brought you back here for a party if you weren't...and it's very mean of them to think that. Everypony needs a little kindness in their life!

[Ralph gives her a smile, but sincere, smile.] Thank you, I can't tell how you much that means to me.

Oh, you're quite welcome!

[Ralph beams and finally takes the cake from Pinkie Pie. He attempts to eat it delicately, but he's a big dude with big hands, and for him, the piece of cake is tiny.

He pinches off a piece of cake and pops it in his mouth, savoring it.]

This is great!

Would you like another piece?

[Fluttershy's just happy to see that he's happy. The poor guy really did just need a little kindness!]

[Ralph nods.] Yeah! If you don't mind, that is.

[He popped the rest of the piece in his mouth, glad that there was more on the way.]

Here, just take the whole cake!

[The pink pony brings the whole cake over, thrilled at how much Ralph seems to be enjoying it. Fluttershy's giving him an encouraging smile.]

Go on, it's okay.

[Ralph just can't stop smiling at this, he gets a whole cake to himself! Who would have even imagined?

Not even Felix got a whole cake!]

[He takes a giant hand and dips it into the cake, pulling it out and stuffing it into his mouth happily.

This is probably the most content he's ever been in his entire life.]

I'm glad you're having a good time!

[Look how happy he is! This has been a great night.]

[Ralph swallows his bite of cake.]

The best!

[He digs back into the cake, the handfuls he's been taking are pretty sizable, so there's big holes scooped out of it. It'll only be another couple Ralph-sized bits before it's gone.]

[Ralph perks up at this and somehow manages to look even happier than he already did. Another cake? Ralph couldn't even hardly imagine that, he rarely got enough food to keep him full, and certainly never all the cake he could eat.]

Y-you've got more? And I can have it?

[Fluttershy gives him an encouraging nod and a smile.]

Pinkie's got plenty.

[Seriously, Pinkie's already wheeling out another cake. That pony is FAST.]

[Ralph's eyes widen at this and he finishes off the handful of cake, then scoops up the last bit.]

You guys are the best!

[Fluttershy blushes.]

Oh, we're not that great...but thank you.

Nobody else gave me cake! Nobody else gave me a chance!

In my book, you're pretty great.

I'm glad you think so...

[She's still blushing furiously, but she smiles.]

It's like I always say, everypony just needs to be shown a little kindness! I'm glad we could do it.

[Ralph smiles as well.]

I'm glad you could too, because this has been fantastic!

Especially after our adventure with those bugs.
