Quick! Run! Hide! Scream! Flail uselessly! That's about all you'll be able to do against... whatever we're all afraid of. Um. What was that, again? Well, nevermind, it's scary anyway.

If you're a character in this meme, you have suddenly found yourself amidst a group of people, all of whom are panicking about... something. For the moment, it's not immediately obvious what that something is, but it seems like they all know something you don't. Maybe there's a tornado coming. Maybe there's a sudden flea infestation and you just haven't gotten swarmed yet. Maybe Cthulhu is just around the corner. Maybe everyone but you is mind controlled and trying to get away from crazy delusions of aliens landing and all singing Nyan cat in about fifteen different keys.

Or maybe it's all just a false alarm that's gotten out of control. But can you really afford to assume that?

Will you join in the flailing, try to snoop out the root cause, or be the one trying to get everyone else to just calm down already?

Rules
1. Your character will run into other characters in the midst of the panic.
2. Write the reason for panicking in the subject line, or label it as open for responders to make up. (Or leave everyone clueless, that works, too!)
3. ?????
4. CHAOS!!!!! And, you know, profit.

Just remember, when in doubt,
run in circles, scream and shout!

[Ralph smiled.] Yeah, but you kept them in line. If it was just me, they would have stayed out of control.

You did! Not everypony would have been such a help with the Cy-Bugs!

Yeah, they're pretty scary in the game, I don't know if anybody else would have wanted to deal with them.

But at least they got some exercise! I think that was good for them, even if they wanted to get out of hoof there in the end...

Maybe you're right. Hopefully they'll give the others an easier time now that they've gotten some fresh air. I know I don't wanna fight them again.

Oh, it seems like fighting them would be terrible...

[Ralph nods.] It's awful! They turn into whatever they eat! One ate my gun and then shot at me!

[She gasps.]

It's a good thing we got them food that wouldn't explode, then!

[Ralph blinks for a moment, then nods.]

Yeah, I don't even wanna imagine how bad it'd be if they got ahold of something like that.

I suppose they're better off in their own game, then, aren't they? There are too many dangerous things in other games...

Right, who knows what'd they turn into if they ate some of the other stuff around...

It really would be! Those bugs are bad, bad news.

They were rather rambunctious...but they can't be all bad, even if they are kind of scary.

I don't know about that, but they did behave when you told them to, so maybe you've got a point.
