Quick! Run! Hide! Scream! Flail uselessly! That's about all you'll be able to do against... whatever we're all afraid of. Um. What was that, again? Well, nevermind, it's scary anyway.

If you're a character in this meme, you have suddenly found yourself amidst a group of people, all of whom are panicking about... something. For the moment, it's not immediately obvious what that something is, but it seems like they all know something you don't. Maybe there's a tornado coming. Maybe there's a sudden flea infestation and you just haven't gotten swarmed yet. Maybe Cthulhu is just around the corner. Maybe everyone but you is mind controlled and trying to get away from crazy delusions of aliens landing and all singing Nyan cat in about fifteen different keys.

Or maybe it's all just a false alarm that's gotten out of control. But can you really afford to assume that?

Will you join in the flailing, try to snoop out the root cause, or be the one trying to get everyone else to just calm down already?

Rules
1. Your character will run into other characters in the midst of the panic.
2. Write the reason for panicking in the subject line, or label it as open for responders to make up. (Or leave everyone clueless, that works, too!)
3. ?????
4. CHAOS!!!!! And, you know, profit.

Just remember, when in doubt,

I think so! You haven't been mean to me at all, and that's what everypony says a bad guy would do...and you've been so helpful with the Cy-Bugs!

Huh... [He might be close to a breakthrough on what Zangief was saying about being a Bad Guy, but not a bad guy. Ralph doesn't quite get it, though it was phrased a bit oddly and Zombie didn't really help matters.

Ralph sighs.]

That doesn't matter to some people. To them, no matter what I do, I'll always be a Bad Guy. That's why I was in Hero's Duty, that's why I wanted that shiny medal.

That guy told me that the medal even says HERO on it! Once I nab it, then everyone will know that I'm good! And then the Nicelanders will invite me to parties and I'll get cake and they'll like me, too!

I'm sure if you came back to my game, my friend Pinkie Pie would throw a party for you!

[Ralph shook his head, he sounds rather sad.] No. I wasn't even invited to the 30th anniversary party. But, Gene said I could even live in the penthouse if I got a medal, so I've just gotta get one!

[He looks surprised for a moment before quickly switching to childlike excitement.]

Really?! A real party with dancing and music and even cake?! Would I be able to pick the flavor of the cake and eat as much as I want and nobody would yell at me if I accidentally wrecked anything?

They didn't invite you? That's so sad...

[She gives him a nod.]

Pinkie's parties always have dancing and cake! I'm sure she would be happy to let you pick...

[Now, the wrecking thing, that might be a problem, but...]

And I'm sure if we had the party outside, wrecking things on accident wouldn't be much of a problem at all!

[Besides, the ponies deal with Derpy. They can roll with a little Ralph destruction.]

I don't mind most of the time, but they even invited characters that belong in other games and that was the last straw.

[Ralph beams.] Man, that sounds great! [He'd rather have a party inside just like where the Nicelanders had their parties, however, the rooms were too small and they never even considered taking them outside so that he could be comfortable and less of a hazard.

He's thankful Fluttershy thought things out and was considerate towards his needs.]

If we get these bugs back before the arcade closes can we go to your game and talk to Pinkie Pie?

Oh, they did? That's horrible! Leaving you out like that, poor thing...

[She smiles.]

I'm sure we can! Believe me, Pinkie loves throwing parties any time!

[And for any reason. A NEW reason to throw a party would probably be very welcome to Pinkie. Fluttershy hasn't thought of the reaction bringing a Bad Guy into her game like that might be, but she's sure everything will be fine!]

[Ralph can barely contain his excitement. Really, all he wanted was a party and some appreciation and a few friends. If he can get that from Fluttershy and her friends, then he'd be pretty content. He might even decide to stay in the Equestria game all the time after hours and only go back to Fix-It Felix Jr. when he was on duty.]

That's great! We'll need to hurry so that we'll have plenty of time to get everything set up! [If they could have a party today or tonight, that'd be even better!

As far as Bad Guys go, Ralph's a really sweet one, if the others can get over his appearance and not make him too angry, then they should get along just fine. And if things go really bad, then Celestia should be able to handle the situation.

Ponies are a little more girly than Ralph usually likes, but he's thankful to have someone be kind to him, no matter what they look like.]

We'd better hurry and get these poor little Cy-Bugs back where they belong, then! But don't worry, Pinkie can set up a party in no time!

[Ralph's excitement is infectious, and this has reaffirmed Fluttershy's belief that everyone needs to be shown a little kindness. Even bad guys!]

[Ralph nods, this task was looking better, as soon as it was done, then he could get a party and have some friends!

Though, this means he may not be paying as good attention as he should, in order to get it done quicker.]

Right! We're already doing pretty good, we just have to get them off the train, across the Station, and back to Hero's Duty! It'll be easy!

[Ralph is appreciative of Fluttershy's kindness, nobody has taken the time to be nice to him or pay any attention to him. If they had, he wouldn't have gone to Hero's Duty to prove himself.

With all the talk of a party, he's forgotten about the medal for now. But when he does remember it, he might be pretty upset.]

Right! They shouldn't give us too many more problems; they're really behaving quite nicely...

[Here's hoping the medal doesn't pop up again, then!

By this point, the train has moved back to the station, so now it's time for a bit of herding. Only the bigger Cy-Bugs seem slightly more inclined to want to wander now. Fluttershy's keeping them in line, but barely.]

Oh, I do wish Applejack were here...

You've sure got a way with them! [He's still surprised at how easily she can control the Cy-Bugs, even if some of them are a little fidgety.

Ralph's stepped in and is trying to keep the bigger ones with the rest of the group the best he can. He's using his size to herd them, but he can only do so much.]

Oh, thank you! They're so different from the creatures in my world.

[Between the two of them, they're almost back at Hero's Duty! Even if a few other people are now looking at them funny. It's not often you see a Bad Guy and a tiny pony herding bug-things of doom.]

We're close!

There's nothing like them in my game, either. There aren't many animals, really.

[Fortunately, with the armor, nobody really recognizes Ralph, otherwise there could be trouble. They might even think that he's unleashing the Cy-Bugs on purpose if they knew who he really was.]

Oh, thank goodness!

Oh, how sad! Animals make everything better...

[Really, it probably looks like the nice armored man is helping Fluttershy get those nasty old Cy-Bugs back to his own game.

They're back at the gate to Hero's Duty, looks like.]

We made it!

I think the only thing we've got is the occasional duck that gives Felix a hard time.

[Ralph grins when they arrive at the gate.]

Now all we gotta do is get them on the train and we're home free!

Oh, dear...do you need me to come over and have a talk with them?

[She's still herding those Cy-Bugs now.]

There you go, that's a good Cy-Bug...now, Squiggles, no pushing, no pushing...in you go, Cuddles...

Thanks, but they're part of the game to make things more challenging for the player. They don't bother anyone after hours.

[Ralph's doing what he can to help move the Cy-Bugs along. He's not experienced with this sort of thing, but his bulk is good for keeping them from straying too far.

He doesn't think the names fit the Cy-Bugs too well, but he's certainly not going to bring that up.]

Oh, that's good. I'd hate to think there were unruly ducks running around giving anypony problems.

[They've got the Cy-Bugs wedged onto the train for the most part, now.]

Okay, I think we're ready!

Yeah, the game would be a mess if they decided to cause trouble. [He chuckles slightly.]

[Ralph squeezes on board the train, there's even less room than before.]

Only one more step, then! Let's go!

Oh, yes, ducks can be very naughty when they want to be.

[She smiles and does a quick headcount of the Cy-Bugs.]

Everypony's onboard!

[The train's starting to move now.]

I guess we're lucky they're so well-behaved!

[Ralph gives a small sigh and settles in. Normally being in such close quarters with the Cy-Bugs would be distressing, but they're calm and under control, so he's more relaxed.

All they have to do is dump the Cy-Bugs and then they can get on to the party!]

You really are!

[Fortunately,the Cy-Bugs are proper little Cy-Bug gentlemen during the train ride, and the train soon pulls into the Hero's Duty station.]

Okay, everypony out! You're home now!

[Ralph stands up and starts ushering the Cy-Bugs out and back into their own world.

This crazy mess is almost over! And he can almost taste that cake!]

We made it!

I'm so glad! Poor little things, I guess I shouldn't have uprooted them like that!

[The Cy-Bugs are all filing off of that train now...and oh, look, that's such a pretty shiny light off in the distance! They all seem rather interested.]

They certainly do seem happy to be home!
