Welcome to My World!

It's a whole new world!  And how lucky, you've got a friend(?) who has the responsibility of helping you live through it.  Are you a Super Saiyan getting used to the idea of demons in feudal Japan?  Or maybe you're an angel who's making friends with a pretty sweet alien.  Maybe you just come from an alternate version of earth and need a local to help you overcome culture shock.  Thank goodness you're not alone!

Here's how it works:
1. Leave a post. You will be the guide to any new arrivals to your world!
2. Comment to posts. You are stuck in the world belonging to the person you've tagged. (i.e., if you tag Naruto, you'll be in his world with him as your guide)
3. SHENANIGANS.  Thread out any scenario! Maybe various scenarios!  Write an epilogue when you're done or something. Use this meme to launch a million AUs for the musebox.  DO WHATEVER YOU LIKE.

[That scuffing sound? That would be the sound an Usagi makes when she's scurrying backward at top speed.]

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa! Where did you come from?!

[Don't startle the poor bunny, Fang.]

[Fang does not seem as startled to see Usagi as Usagi seems to be to see Fang.] I know where I came from, but the question is, where am I now?

[She leans down - this woman is at least Haruka's height -, hands casually on her hips, to peer at Usagi. The corner of her lips tug up in something between an amused smirk and a reassuring smile (she's not so good at that reassuring smile part).]

Easy, girl. I don't bite.

[buntails]

Much...? [Alright, going from panicked to looking for escape now. Usagi swallows visibly.]

[Fang straightens, and laughs. Yes, she knows she's a little intimidating. But her laugh is almost warm.]

Tell you what. If you help me out a little, I promise I won't bite. How's that?

[buntails]

[Innnnching back forward towards Fang.]

Promise?

I'll help you if I can. What is it?

Promise. [Really.]

Well first, I'd like to know where the hell I am.

Please. [Sometimes Vanille's attempts to enforce Fang's use of manners works.]

[buntails]

[Right! Usagi stands up a bit straighter, and has the grace to look embarrassed over her scene.]

This is the Juuban District. Did you get off on the wrong bus stop? [She kind of hopes not; she's not too good with the bus schedules... even though she should be.]

[saboteuring]

Joo-bahn? [Fang shifts her weight and crosses her arms. And what's a "bus"? Oh - wasn't that one of those...things...that transported people? Like a single-car train that floated - they had them on Cocoon.]

Let's see, maybe we should start like this. Pretend, [Fang pauses for a brief moment.] Pretend you're explaining this to someone from another planet. [That was normal enough, right? I mean, traveling between Cocoon and Pulse was forbidden, but it wasn't impossible.]

[buntails]

[Please tell her this is going to be a friend from another planet and not an enemy. But despite being intimidating, Fang doesn't really seem to have bad intentions...]

Um, well, this is the city of Tokyo, in Japan. We can go on the bus to get back to- um, another city...

[She trails off lamely; not much chance of getting back to Fang's home that way.]

And I'm Usagi.

[Tokyo, Japan...does that make Japan the province, country, or world? Either way, it's not Gran Pulse at all. She makes a brief, displeased expression, head turning to the side with a small 'tch.']

Well, this is just grand. As weird as this sounds, kid, I'm not even from 'Japan'.

[Oh right. Introductions.]

Oerba Yun Fang. [Fang, Usagi only gave one name. That make yours a little troublesome, right? And her calling you "Oerba-Yun-Fang" repeatedly will get irritating right quick.] Just, call me Fang.

Nice t' meet'cha.

[buntails]

Nice to meet you! [Behind the bright smile is still an enormous amount of confusion.]

Um, but if you're not from here, [And she's starting to get the idea Fang is from very, very far away indeed] How did you get here?

[saboteuring]

Ding! That is the question. [Fang crosses her arms again, taking in the city around her (and the people staring).] Last thing I know, I was...

[Fang trails off, and her expression freezes, though her eyes darken. But her expression relaxes again, the tension gone as soon as it had come.] Asleep. Maybe I'm dreamin'. [She pinches herself on the forearm.] Doesn't feel like I'm asleep. Huh.

[buntails]

[Usagi's turn to pinch herself. She gives a quick wince as she does.]

Nope. I think we're both awake. [And if they aren't, who's in who's dream?]

[saboteuring]

Well. Either I'll wake up or maybe I'll pop back home at some point. Either way, looks like I'm here for right now. [Fang surveys the surroundings again.]


Y'know, I could go for something to eat. [Although...this doesn't look like the place to run down an animal to cook it. And she doesn't have money for the market. At least, not this world's money. Hm.]

[buntails]

We can go to Crown! It's a cafe right across from the arcade. [If anyone thinks Usagi hasn't already overspent her allowance, they don't know her; but surely she'll run into someone to help them out.]

[saboteuring]

[An ar-what?] I probably shouldn't a' said nothin'. Come to think of it now, I don't really have money from here. [Fang pulls out a thin, plastic card from one of the pouches on her belt.] Unless this'd pass for money here.

[buntails]

No way! If you have a credit card, we're all set!

[Umm. Might want to check what sort of bank it's from, Usagi.]

[saboteuring]

This'n's an incentive chip. Not sure if that's the same. [In fact, the 'credit card' is pure white, and completely blank. Maybe not from a bank around here, Usagi.] But, if you think it'll work. If it doesn't, we can always run away, right? [Fang grins, and she may or may not be joking. But she's probably joking.

Probably.]

[buntails]

[Usagi, oblivious, agrees right away.]

Let's go then! We can try the new dessert. And one of the new teas!

[saboteuring]

[Well this girl is easy to get along with. Somehow, her demeanor reminds her a bit of Vanille...] Alright then.

Tea. You know! Tea! That you drink!

Mm, nope. Can't say I've ever had it.

[buntails]

[That's seriously close to unbelievable.]

Come on! They have a jasmine tea I bet you'll really like!

[saboteuring]

If you say so. Lead the way, kid.

[buntails]

It's just a couple blocks over. I can practically taste their crepes!

[This would be Usagi moving much much faster than she'd ever get home with a bad test grade.]
