[It had been his father's idea to bring their new neighbor a gift, but Kirei had volunteered to undertake the mission alone. He preferred to do things on his own. Risei Kotomine, always willing to encourage (and indulge) his son's precocious independence, hadn't found himself willing to object.

The doorbell rings, and when Yuri answers the door, he will find a small, solemn child standing on his front porch, holding a large basket of fruit and gazing up at him intently.]

[It had been one crazy arrest, one that really boosted the ratings for that day. A taxi had been hijacked, and it sped down the streets of Stern Bild without a care. Origami Cyclone lucked out when the criminal chose the street he waited at in ambush. After having its tire punctured by an expertly thrown shuriken, the hijacked car lost control and plowed straight into another car parked by the courthouse.]

[It turned out the parked car that had gotten caught up in the chaos was none other than Judge Petrov's. There had been a criminal capture, so the damages would be covered, but Ivan still felt awful.]

( it's been over a year since kotetsu left the group of heroes and karina had been simply heartbroken ever since. to pass the time she would plunge herself more into her work, defeating the other heroes and gaining first place for the most part. karina also threw herself more at singing, flourishing at it and being able to hit higher notes.

she never really noticed yuri, she knew him as 'the sternbild' judge and nothing more. however one day he had been at the bar and she noticed him. her eyes wandered towards his and well she suddenly felt something choking her, her heart thumping loudly against her chest. so she set her mind to it.

karina wrote a letter to him, and left it on his desk in his office. she hoped he would show up again at the bar. )

Blue Rose;

( the thrill of fear and courage was something the young hero felt each time she came across lunatic. it started off as sheer and uttering fear, something that made her lay awake in her bed at night, his eyes carving deep within her.

but with every encounter they had, it had turned into something more. her fear subsided and thrived with such a passion. blue rose wanted, no needed to see him more and more, to have him hold up his bow and arrow to her, her life risked.

so she set it all up, she knew a recent criminal who had killed a man that was on the loose, and with the way lunatic spoke, oh she knew he would come after him. so she wrote a letter indicating him to come to the highest building in sternbild.

there she awaited with the fainted criminal, handcuffed to a pole. she awaited as blue rose. )

[Kitty Pryde has bad luck with vacations. An island paradise turns out to be a secret mutant detention facility (at least until the 'guests' hold a successful revolt), and a hop across the Pond turns into two years of experience with a British hero team. Boats are supposed to be slightly less dangerous. Just a cruise down to Africa, see some safaris and go home. Despite the efforts of certain grouchy Canadians to install some wilderness survival instincts, she really would prefer a hotel room with wifi to roughing it.

The last thing she expected was a shipwreck and getting separated from the other passengers while trying to rewire the engine back together. The time between curling up in a poor excuse for a lifeboat and waking up on a deserted beach is a little fuzzy, and Kitty is absolutely convinced she would have become kibble had it not been for Tarzan. He's the one that rescued her from being eaten by local wildlife and generally put up with her city girl habits for the last couple of weeks. Logan would be so proud - she can light a fire with a couple of sticks and some vines now, and hit things when throwing a spear.

Eventually someone is going to find her, but until then, she's doing her best to keep her host from strangling her, and to that end she's made him a woven basket. With a loose definition of woven, true, but it's stayed together so far, and she looks fairly proud when setting it down on the ground in front of him.]

The latest trip into Doyleton had found Link in the nicer of the town's two parks, and with parks came flowers. He had never properly appreciated them, before. But being trapped in the Institute meant suddenly noticing all of those pleasant little things that were suddenly gone.

There had been one particularly pretty one, vibrant and purple and almost tropical in appearance. So Link had picked it. He knew of someone who would like it.

"Flora?" He approached her on a park bench with a friendly smile.

Itachi was never, ever far from Shisui, or he was with his parents. If he was far, bad things would probably happen.

Shisui knew Itachi listened to him, though. He knew he would find his little cousin in the place he'd left him, told him to hide with a sleeve of cookies and a canister of powdered milk-water. It wasn't great, but he wouldn't be gone for long. Only a few hours, and he'd promised to bring back some good food.

Shisui had never gone back on his promise before, and he was proud of himself as he went, large backpack hanging down tot he backs of his knees, a few wildflowers in hand. Despite what he had, he moved quietly, quietly.

He was a good ninja, for a seven year old. He wasn't silent, but he'd learned to roll his feet, learned to hold weights on his back the right way. Learned to find things by sound in the dark and smoke. It was important to keep track of Itachi. His Itachi.

As he approached the little abandoned house, Shisui let off a whistle.

Chika-dee, chicka-dee, chika-dee, dee, dee! Itachi might come out on his own, he might not. It wasn't a dangerous day, it was a happy day where he could get vegetables and fruits, and he'd even dug up a few roots!

Itachi knew when to stay hidden. He knew when to be quiet, and when to run. Today wasn't a day when that mattered much. The sun was out, and people were walking around doing normal business not war business, which meant it was almost safe.

Itachi could have crawled out of his hiding place and gone to play with the other children, but he stayed still and hidden, staring out at the world with large eyes and wondering when Shisui would come back. Shisui was much better at telling when things were safe and when they were not. Itachi wasn't, because he was small. His father and mother had told him to listen to Shisui, so he did.

When Itachi heard Shisui's whistle, he sat up. He crawled from his hiding place, out into the open, and slowly stood. When he saw Shisui, he darted for him, eye bright at the prospect of food in Shisui's bulging pack. He was tired of tinned milk!

[She was an avid watcher of the Heroes TV. Orihime could even say she enjoyed it as much as Comedy Hour! Ever since she was younger when it first appeared she really enjoyed it, especially when her brother was still alive he would be rooting with her. But even with him gone, she still cheered on the heroes. It was interesting to see how everyone flocked to the top heroes but for her she really enjoyed watching the lesser ones. Her favorite Hero for instance being, Origami. She thought he made really cool appearances and admired how he handled robberies.

So when the idea popped up from her best friend, Tatsuki, to give him a gift she felt her face heat up immediately. Could she give him something really epic like a screw driver that does everything or maybe she could finally put her own powers to use and fight along side him and they could do epic duels at sunset against crimin--The thoughts were derailed immediately by Tatsuki who gave her the simple advice of making something for him, anything but food she had added rather hastily but Orihime waved that off.

Now the auburn haired princess stood awkwardly with the crowd of people who were cheering on the heroes, holding a neatly wrapped gift to her chest. When people were moving to the other heroes, Orihime felt determined as she moved forward towards Origami. She was a woman on a mission!]

[There had been many posts to the network recently of this "Valentine's Day". And well, it's nice to give gifts to people, isn't it? Definitely. But that doesn't stop him from pacing back of forth nervously. He suddenly has more energy (than usual) than he knows what to do with.

[ Birthdays aren't exactly something to celebrate in their little town of vampires and werewolves, even if Caroline tries to celebrate everyone's but her own. She plans on avoiding hers like the plague. It's hard to be happy about being a year older when you're stuck being the same age forever after all. As much as she'ss reluctant to celebrate her eighteenth, she's determined to make Tyler's special. Even if there's not much to celebrate, he's a werewolf, and Klaus is looming over them like a dark shadow.

Tyler Lockwood is not the easiest to shop for. He's a guy, for one, and secondly, he's loaded so he kind of gets whatever he wants, when he wants it.

But let it be known that Caroline Forbes is a champion gift-giver. And because of it, she likes to give them often, although some are less appropriate than the others.

Still, she finds him something perfect, a few things perfect, and sits on his bed, waiting for him to be done with football practice. She fiddles with the bow on one of the perfectly wrapped gifts, staring up at his ceiling with a flicker of a smile.]
