The Gift Giving Meme
![]() { how to play } 1. Post your characters along with any preferences in the subject 2. RNG yourself or choose a number between 1-15 and tag others. 3. Feel free to include pics/links or write the notes that go with their gifts! { tie it up in a pretty little bow } 1. 'Tis The Season! → It's some holiday or another, and you don't want to be the one who breaks tradition by not giving a gift. 2. Happy Birthday! → Another year older! Is it their sweet sixteenth? The no-holds-barred-finally-legal 21? Or that stately eighty candles that might set the cake on fire... 3. Sweet Valentine → Not that you need a commercialized excuse to butter up your sweetheart, but if the heart-decorated chocolate truffle fits... 4. Anniversary → You didn't forget 5. Wedding Bells → It's the bride and groom's happiest day and you want to give them something to commemorate this momentous occasion! 6. Housewarming → Those new neighbors of yours are still getting settled. Why not give them something to welcome them to the neighborhood? 7. What Bribery? → It never hurts to get on someone's good side, right? Especially if they could make your life miserable if they don't like you... 8. Get Well Soon! → Someone's stuck in the hospital and you just know that a gift will put a smile back on their face. 9. Going Away → They have to leave and you can't go with them, but you'll wait until they return. Give them something to remind them of you while they're far away. 10. I Miss You! → Has it been a week? A year? However long they've been away, you want them to know you're still thinking of them. 11. I'm So Sorry → You've screwed up big time and apologies just don't feel good enough, but you'll give them a token of your sincerity. 12. You're Appreciated! → There's just no one else like that person! You know everything they've done for you and others and you to show your appreciation. 13. Glorious Victory! → Hail the conquering hero! It doesn't matter if they've run a marathon or usurped a kingdom, this calls for mighty spoils! 14. Secret Admirer~ → You haven't quite worked up the courage to give them something in person, and hopefully they don't recognize your handwriting... 15. Wildcard → Anything else, go crazy with it. |
Going with Blue Rose, but if you want we can play out the other scene in a new thread, too
[But there was still a curiosity that burned within him, a desire to read what the young woman had felt was so important she needed to risk her well-being just to get the message across.]
[It was possible that the invitation was a ruse concocted by Agnes to boost Hero TV ratings. It was also possible that it was a trap put together by the Heroes collaborative. Whatever the case, Yuri donned the mask one more time and rose to accept the challenge. Arriving at the prearranged location, the note he'd been given rippled loudly in the wind.]
. . . such pitiful, childish games you Heroes play when the poor present hasn't even a bow.
[The note flares up in hand, burning so quickly and so brightly that not even ashes remain.]
No matter. The time for judgment has come.
[ooc: Not off putting at all! I hope the response is all right. Likewise, feel free to contact me at
sounds good to me! I'd love to see how they react together as themselves /chin hands
so blue rose awaited, wearing her usual outfit, high heels grounded. she had knocked out the criminal with one blast from her gun. one side of her was telling her this was wrong, she shouldn't be doing this, the side that was still in love with wild tiger. and the other half told her too keep strong, to do this, it was right. she felt as if she was loosing her mind really, only eighteen and doing such horrible things to herself.
when the sound of rippling paper hit her sensory, blue rose turned around promptly, whips slashing across the wind in her sudden motion. her eyes darted around, trying to find the sudden new sound, his voice. and when she found him, her eyes locked on him. )
I didn't think you would want a bow...
( did he? she would run now and get one for him if that is what he desired. but then he was burning up the paper she wrote-
ah that was expected, but it did make her recoil back, arms rising to her chest. )
Judgement....then go ahead. He's all yours.
hope both of these tags are all right
[But here was Blue Rose doing just that.]
[When she turns to face him, he expects to see outrage in her expression, or a sort of Aha! I've got you where I want you, now! But there is nothing like that. Not even her well-known catchphrase. Instead, a murmur about the bow, and then...recoiling.]
[What a fool girl.]
You are abandoning what it is you Heroes stand for? How lowly.
[His cape goes up in blue-green flames, and from beneath it, Lunatic raises his crossbow. Rather than at the criminal, however, Lunatic aims it at Blue Rose.]
Perhaps you, too, should hear the voice of Thanatos.
perfect~
( her eyes widen slightly and she points at herself and just out of reflex she looks around.
while she certainly doesn't want to burn to a crisp....if it means pleasing him... )
If it will make you happy then be it. Kill me.
( blue rose smiled slightly and tumbled down to her knees, her arms spreading to her sides. what was she doing? run. those thoughts came to mind, but now she couldn't move.
what was wrong with her? she had no clue but she was obsessed now. this would be her gift to him. )
:3
[A helicopter fast approaching could be heard. Likely, it was carrying a news team accompanied by Agnes. Soon, there would be spotlights upon the two of them...a very inconvenient position to be in, overall.]
[He needed to get this over with, and fast. So, rather than fire a flaming arrow at her, Lunatic propelled himself closer with his fire. His boots clacked loudly as he landed upon the rooftop, and then more softly as he approached the girl.]
You are a fool . . . but you are also innocent.
[So he would not kill her, although permitting him to do as he does, it is, in itself, a criminal act, a mockery of justice. But there will be time enough to address her sin afterwards. For now?]
[He points the bow away from her and towards the criminal. His free hand catches fire, holding an arrow. It is loaded, and without hesitation, it is launched, striking the bound person, the sinner.]
[That is when the spotlights arrived.]
I hope you have prepared your speech. The city, and the other Heroes, will want to know why you failed.
