[ Birthdays aren't exactly something to celebrate in their little town of vampires and werewolves, even if Caroline tries to celebrate everyone's but her own. She plans on avoiding hers like the plague. It's hard to be happy about being a year older when you're stuck being the same age forever after all. As much as she'ss reluctant to celebrate her eighteenth, she's determined to make Tyler's special. Even if there's not much to celebrate, he's a werewolf, and Klaus is looming over them like a dark shadow.

Tyler Lockwood is not the easiest to shop for. He's a guy, for one, and secondly, he's loaded so he kind of gets whatever he wants, when he wants it.

But let it be known that Caroline Forbes is a champion gift-giver. And because of it, she likes to give them often, although some are less appropriate than the others.

Still, she finds him something perfect, a few things perfect, and sits on his bed, waiting for him to be done with football practice. She fiddles with the bow on one of the perfectly wrapped gifts, staring up at his ceiling with a flicker of a smile.]

[As far as birthdays had gone, the day wasn't much to brag about. For one, there was school. Which with all that seems to happen in Mystic Falls, seems ridiculous all on its own. And then on top of that, there was a quiz he hadn't studied for, an awkward run-in in the hall with too many people he didn't really want to talk to but who thought it was necessary to wish him happy birthday, and then practice. Always practice. And now that it was over (finally) and he was heading home, he wasn't really looking forward to dealing with his mother. His first birthday without a call from his uncle? Or having dinner with his parents? (because now it was singular. Just him and his mom)

Yeah, to say that Tyler wasn't really stoked about turning eighteen was a little bit of an understatement. So when he did finally make it to his room, pushing open the door with his foot and setting his gear down right inside, he pauses for a moment at the sight of Caroline sitting there, holding...presents.

He should have expected as much.]

Hey. [He drops his backpack next to his gear.] Didn't see you at school today.

I was busy. [ She moves to sit up, balancing on her hands with a conspiratorial smirk. Because clearly, he wasn't expecting her, even if he should've.

Caroline could be predictable, but in the best ways. At least, that's what she thinks.] Sorry I missed you though. [ She knows that she made Elena decorate his locker but it wouldn't be the same. Regardless, she moves to roll over and reach towards the opposite side of the bed, towards the nightstand. On it is a cupcake with a candle, which she lights before she carefully turns back over and sits up, holding it in her hands and smirking at him.]

Happy Birthday, Tyler. [ And while she's surrounded by wrapped gifts, she's one herself, in a way, wearing a silky little robe which usually meant there's some fun lingerie beneath it.] I got you a ton of gifts. But first you have to blow this out and make a wish.

[The smirk makes him smile, if only because he knows she's planned something and that something is for him, and if there is one thing Tyler Lockwood is good at, it's being selfish. It just so happens today is the day he's allowed that much, and he takes a few steps closer to her.

He shrugs.] Not a big deal. [But then she's grabbing a cupcake and holding it out for him. He looks from the cupcake to her before rolling his eyes. Of all the presents in the room, the cupcake holds the least amount of his attention.] Really? [He takes it anyway, giving her a I'm doing this for you look before he pauses - the wish - and then blows it out.]

Do I get my presents now? [There's a little glint in his eyes that should let her know exactly what present he's talking about.]

[ When he gives her the look and even before that when he says what he does, she just gives him a look as well, a triumphant one, one that demands that he does what she says because she knows she's the one in the sexy lingerie
. And that she'll make it worth his while.

He blows out the candle and she smiles, setting the cupcake aside on the closest nightstand before her hands find his neck and she pulls him down close.] Oh yeah, you get to open them now. [ Of course, she's going to reach for one of the wrapped ones, teasing again, fully expecting him to toss it aside in favor of a 'better' gift.] Here you go.

[The worst part is that he knows he'll do exactly what she says. Knows that when it comes down to it, whatever she wants he'll give her, even if it's his birthday. Caroline just had that effect on him. But it's also because of what she's most likely wearing (or not wearing) underneathe that robe.

So Tyler leans in close and places his hands on either side of her on the bed, expecting to just lean in and kiss her and get this moving, when she reaches for the gift. That gets another pause, another look, and an actual muttered] You're kidding, right? [before he does just what she expects - takes the box and tosses it somewhere (off the bed, maybe?) - before leaning in to kiss her, a smirk playing at his lips.] Don't I get to pick?

[ Her smile widens when he reacts as she expected him to, with a sort of frustration she knows isn't actual frustration, mild at best.

Her expression is nothing but teasing as she looks at him, feigning a pout as she leans away from him after he tosses the gift off somewhere.] Hey, that could've been breakable. [ It wasn't, it was a nice shirt, a boring gift that was going to be a tease in case he did choose to open it before opening her robe.

Regardless, as he asks his question, she pretends to consider it.] Well, it is your birthday, [ she murmurs flirtatiously. Her hands move to his face, her gaze meeting with his for a moment before she leans in to give him what he wants (and let's be honest, it's what she wants too).]

Then I would have bought another one to replace it. [But not even her pout or his comment could keep him from leaning down to kiss her neck. If she was going to play hard to get, he was just going to get in a much slower way.

And then she keeps teasing, and he almost pulls away to give her a look before she puts her hands on his face and pulls him close, finally kissing him, and he smiles as he kisses her back. Kisses her back and slowly climbs onto the bed over her, hands moving to her neck, her waist.]

It could've been priceless. [ It wasn't, at all. Still, she grins at the look he gives her and grins even more when he urges her back against the bed, climbing on it. She lays back and pulls him over her, hands sliding down his neck to his chest, tugging on his shirt a bit.] Off.

But it wasn't.

[She knows him better than that, knows what present he would immediately head towards, which one would catch his eyes the moment he walked into the room. If she hadn't known, she wouldn't be wearing a robe, a robe that he can easily reach down and untie, just a simple pull and tug.

But then Caroline is tugging at his shirt, and while Tyler has half a mind to scoff and make some remark about it being his birthday, he realizes that it'd be pointless. It'd have to come off at some point. So Tyler sighs, sits back up on his knees and reaches over his head, pulling off the fabric with a tug and tossing it off the side of the bed. With it gone, he gives her a smirk leaning back down to kiss her again.] Better?

[ It's his birthday but she's always bossy, the one trying to call the shots. And while they usually take turns being in control (or really, struggle for it amicably) she likes that he does as she demands.

The moment his shirt is off, she's leaning up to brush her lips along his chest, after letting him give her a kiss to the lips.] Much better. [ She arches as best she can, offering herself to him to be unwrapped even as her mouth moves along his chest, nipping and kissing and licking the skin there.]
