| When you think about it, things like “humanity” and “personhood” are really just points of view. So what if your body or your abilities don't exactly match up to the Homo Sapiens norm? That doesn't defy your sentiency nor your agency. Does your body, similar or not so similar to humans, negate your thoughts? Your will? Your feelings? ...your feelings for someone else? Ah, that might be the catch. The person is a friend, a teammate, or even someone admired from far away. You're conflicted over them. You may even love them. The problem is, of course, not that they don't see you in that way in return. Well, part of it might be, but the biggest part as they don't even see you as human enough to consider in a romantic way. They could be friendly, kind, indifferent, or, worst of all, treat you like a pet. Perhaps they know about you having a different form, if you do have one, perhaps not. The pain comes from the fact that you don't even register. What will you do? Pretend you feel nothing at all? Try to get them to notice you? Stop being foolish? Just because you're not human doesn't mean you don't have a heart to break. Choose carefully.

Society's rules tend to be more variable, though they apply to most aspects of life - including sex. In fact, bending the rules on what's considered acceptable in romance and sexual encounters can lead to anything from ostracization to death, depending on the time and culture. So, play it close to the chest if you're going to do a big, big, big t a b o o. Is it worth the risk?  - Comment with your character and preferences. Everyone has nightmares right? The dark thoughts lurking in the depths of our minds. Our fears out of our control. At least they only occur in our sleeping hours... right?
This meme is designed to wretch that comfort right out from under you.
Your character is stuck in their worst nightmare and worse yet, someone is stuck in there with them. Whether it's a familiar face, a stranger, intentional or accidental, you have to dig your way out. Good luck lost souls. And remember. The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.
