THE FIGHTING PIT MEME
(because I was watching Dark Sun videos and got inspired)

Your character finds themselves in a fighting pit. What kind? Well, the sandy Colosseum-style arena is always a classic, but it's not limited to that. It could be a sci-fi holo-arena, a cage in an underground fighting ring, a magical summoning circle in the forest, maybe someone tossed them into a literal pit, whatever. The point is, they're not going to be able to leave without a fight, and there are weapons (setting-appropriate or not) scattered around for that exact purpose.
PROMPTS:PVP: Two characters enter, one character leaves. Neither character is leaving until one of them is dead. (Or perhaps you can trick the powers that be by simply knocking them out or faking their death?)
PVE/CO-OP: Your thread partner is your teammate, officially or not, against one or more NPC fighters. Humanoids, robots, monsters, whatever.
STICK IT TO THE MAN: It's not your fellow fighters that are the problem, it's the system that put you here! Stage a revolt, find a way to escape, etc.
OTHER/MISC/WILDCARD: Anything else you can think of. Want to re-enact the Pepsi Gladiator
commercial? Want to somehow turn this into a smut meme and make the fighting pit into a
fuck pit?
(Link NSFW, it's Oglaf) And just what happens to your character(s) when the fight is done -- are they free to go, or are they carted away to a cell to await their next bout? Whatever, man, do what you want 'cause a pirate is free.
While this meme is likely to involve a lot of action and fighting, it's not just for warrior characters! Your everyday Joes and Janes from slice-of-life office/workplace dramas, Hallmark movies, etc, are welcome too.
With that in mind, maybe include some information of your character's fighting capabilities in their top level, so others know what to expect? What kind of physical shape they're in, any training, special abilities like superpowers or magic, etc. Some backstory of how your character got here, even if it's as simple as "they just woke up here and have no idea what's going on", would be useful too.
