SECRET relationship;

The fact that you're in a relationship with this person isn't public knowledge. Actually, no one knows about it except for the people involved. Maybe you guys are just private like that; on the other hand, it may be a necessity to keep things a secret from others. Maybe you're both team mates, and others on the team would give you grief, or you're not suppose to be dating, or you're not the type to usually date and you're only testing the waters. Perhaps it's the combination of you two, possibly an odd couple, that would bring some controversy or some teasing. Or, you know, you could not want to deal with friends and relatives being busybodies. Your reasons are your own.

Are you content with stealing moments to be together as a couple? Do you want to make your relationship known and the fact that you can't drives you batty? Remember, there are lots of benefits to dating in secret. You can be yourselves completely, away from prying eyes, and get to know each other better as potential longterm romantic partners. In a way, it's ideal.

...still, do you ever wish you could scream from the rooftops how much you care for your significant other?

The Dating Meme

Dating is, when you think about, really weird. It's a totally different thing for different people. Some are friends for years before they date; others start dating on the same day they met. Sometimes, there's a lot mushy stuff involved; other times, the couple acts just like friends. None of this is necessarily right or wrong.

Whatever it is, your character and the character you reply to are now dating. How? That's up to you. Whether it be awkward or not, the relationship will be uniquely theirs.

How to Play
-Comment with your character and preferences.
-Reply to others.
-Have fun.

Everybody's dead, Dave.

How did you die?
  1. Dramatically! Probably in battle or in some kind of noble sacrifice.
  2. A really stupid accident you don't want to talk about.
  3. Something drawn out and angsty like some kind of Victorian disease.
  4. Hit by a boulder.
  5. You don't know! It was pretty quick...
  6. Something else...

Where are you now?
  1. Back on Earth. You came back...somehow, to some degree. A ghost? A zombie? That sort of thing.
  2. VALHALLA, home of the brave and/or the sneaky people who found a back way in!
  3. The obligatory darkest reaches of some Stygian abyss. Maybe a lair of demons, maybe hell, etc.
  4. Limbo. It's really boring.
  5. It appears to be some kind of carnival and you're not really sure what's going on.
  6. Other?

What do you want to do?
  1. Fix this death thing and resurrect.
  2. Take care of some kind of unfinished business.
  3. Aggressively kill time, maybe because you're in one of the more boring locations like Limbo.
  4. Take over the afterlife.
  5. Stop someone else from taking over the afterlife.
  6. ...I can't cover all the angles. You can think of something. (aka wildcard)

The Lap Pillow Meme

From TV Tropes: A good way to show the physical intimacy and trust which a couple have is to rest one's head on the other's lap. Usually, the man does the resting while the woman provides the lap, not only because of anatomical reasons but because the lap-owner is typically of a nurturing nature more associated with femininity. Bonus points if she's feeding him grapes or stroking his hair. In some cases this is done between people who are not necessarily lovers, to comfort someone who is weeping or injured.

Or, in the case of the meme: screw the rules, we'll do anything. Maybe they're tired and just found a good place to rest? Maybe both parties were asleep? Hard to tell. All we know is, someone's head is going to be on another person's lap. Shenanigans will ensue.

How this works:
→ Leave a comment with the usual information in the subject line: character name, fandom. Any preferences, including what you don't want, should be included as well.
→ Congratulations, whoever tags your character has their head on your character's lap!
→ Tag around. Please please tag around.
→ Have fun, and be excellent to each other!

STOWAWAY MEME

Every ship, whether it’s powered by sails, steam engines, or a nuclear power core, can sometimes pick up unexpected passengers. Some simply want a better life away from home, others have more devious reasons for stowing on board. Is your character a poor farmer aching for adventure aboard a pirate ship? Or a scheming thief with their eyes on the treasure that's stowed on board? Perhaps your character’s true love is sailing away, and you can’t imagine your life without them.

Whatever your reason for being on this ship, whether you’re the stowaway or one of the crew just trying to earn an honest wage, welcome aboard!

The B(ring)Y(our)O(own)K(ink)Meme

Everyone has a favorite kink or scene or prompt they love to play out - and even if you don't, there has to be something you've always wanted to try, right? A kink? A premise? A prompt? While memes these days are doing great at covering fetishes and coming up with great premises, you can't expect them to cover everything anyone could ever want. There are just too many unique ideas out there!

This meme tries to solve that problem by being a catch-all and hinging on a very simple premise: bring what YOU want to play and focus on that! It puts the power of choosing the direction of threads entirely in your hands. Find other people who will be totally down with playing what you want to play, and let them know just what you're interested in. Simple, right? It's just like a BYOB barbecue, only a lot sexier.

How To Play:
- Comment with your character. DON'T LEAVE YOUR COMMENT BLANK. Instead, copy and paste the information below and fill it out to suit your needs. Or use your own ideas.

kink name/scenario here
information goes here. wax poetic about titfucking or be sparse as you see fit.

- Be as specific or as vague as you want. You can put a kink and the definition (i.e., paizuri), or go all out with a scenario description ("I want my character to get fucked by his brother, who is an alien octopus"). Include pictures to serve as prompts if you'd like, but please link to anything that could be considered triggering instead of embedding it. Otherwise, all ideas, kinks, AUs, prompts, and scenarios welcome.

- Comment to people whose ideas and kinks are relevant to your interests.

- Thread those puppies out!

THE CRACK PAIRING MEME

crack pairing

An unusual relationship of any kind of fandom (i.e. books, television shows, movies, ect.) that is unlikely to happen.

OR

Randomly take two characters… they don’t have to know each other, they don’t have to show ANY signs of a relationship, and hook them together. That is a crack pairing.

We all know them. Fandoms have fostered these little gems of shipping since the early days, and now, they can even be serious contenders in even the most hostile of shipping wars. Maybe they're absolutely ridiculous and only "for the lulz." Perhaps they make perfect sense...if you squint. Whatever the case may be, these so-called "crack" pairings are not canon and they're nowhere near as popular in fandom as the big fanon pairings.

Most of the time.

Of course, it's important to note that a lot of the time in RP, pairings are always crack pairings. Especially crossover ships, which canon purists would deride purely for being impossible. Still, in memes, that's less likely to happen because people either stick with canon ships, fanon ships, or close CR because of the lack of opportunities for development that games offer.

Not here. This meme is for ALL your ridiculousness, all your high school fangirl dreams, and just plain not being sorry for your ships. Think these characters would be cute together? Go for it. That character have adorable icons and that all you know about them? Ship it, by all means. Here, the reasons come after the desire.

RULES
- Comment with your character and preferences. If you want, you can include a one sentence or so blurb about your character. But blank comments are fine.
- Tag to others.
- RNG for prompts. Prompts cannibalized from random memes.

adopted fiancé
There is a centuries-old tradition in Japan of well-to-do families with no or only female children to adopt a male heir to carry on the family name and business. In cases where there are only daughters, the male is usually a non-relative who takes the adopting family's surname and marries the (oldest) daughter.

Your family is in trouble. It's at a dead end, with no one to possibly carry on the line and the family name. Well, there's you, but you don't really count. At least, you can't do those tasks alone. That's why, when you were young, your family adopted an heir: someone promising, yet less fortunate, alone in this world, or with less prospects on their own. When both of you are ready, you're to be married. In fact, that time is approaching - or, oh, it's already here! So, how do you feel about all of this? Was it awkward growing up with someone you knew you'd eventually spend your life with in that way? And how you relate to them has to have been shaped by your upbringing. Surely, you view them as a brother or a sister.

...unless you actually do have feelings for them, and matter turns out to be much more difficult than you'd think with a pre-prepared spouse! You don't want it to be a relationship of convenience, despite the fact that it's always been that.

  • Comment with your character, canon, preferences, etc.
  • Comment to others, using the RNG to determine your character's role and the prompt.

role
  1. the true born
  2. the adopted

prompts
  1. confused: what they are to you is still a mystery to both of you.
  2. ideal love: you two have the best relationship one could imagine, but is it as perfect as it seems on the surface?
  3. fake it to make it: pretend you want this, pretend you love them like that, and maybe it will come true.
  4. forbidden: you're supposed to get married for appearances only. any actual intimacy and love is forbade by your family...yet here you are.
  5. like brother and sister: you can't do this! you still see them as your annoying but lovable little sibling.
  6. someone else: there's a teensy dilemma here: both of you are involved with other people on the side, outside your familial obligations.
  7. don't get along: this set-up should work out well, except for the fact that you've always gotten along like cats and dogs.
  8. one-sided: one of you is utterly smitten, always has been. the other? jury's still out.
