 Of all the places in this world, there's nowhere worse you could be than where you are now. You're in hell - metaphorically or literally - and laying down and just dying seems more and more like the valid action to take. But you can't go any lower and death could be a no escape. There's only one thing keeping you from being a jaded, broken husk: you've fallen in love with someone who shares this fate. It's a love so different than the norm, that only those who've known this desolation can fathom. Perhaps they give you hope, they're an innocent worth keeping safe, they showed you unexpected kindness, or they're simply something to cling to. No matter what, you'll protect them and you wouldn't dream of leaving this place without them.  Intimacy is wonderful, no doubt...but you just can't. For you, you can't let someone in like that, can't let your guard down, or just don't want to. There's also the possibility that you actually cannot be close and candid like that, unless you want to risk their safety and yours. It could, however, be a much more normal case: you were burned in the past by someone, and you don't want that to happen again, or no matter how much of an open book you are in all other aspects of your life, sexuality makes you clam up and retreat. You just can't be with someone - at least not just anyone. Until the right person comes along, then everything changes. Their strength, their kindness, or their trust in you makes you trust them; finally, there's someone you can be honest with and be comfortable enough with to explore a side of you that's had to be locked up. Whenever you have an urge, you can turn to a partner who can give you relief. Whether your tastes be a kink you've always secretly had or just a vanilla, consensual connection, don't be hesitant to let go.

 a sci-fi au meme ( The Setting ) ( The Premise ) ( The Problem ) tl;dr sparknotes this because we want to get to the meme: Sentinels and guides had a baby with YA dystopian lit. After a near extinction level cataclysm, people began to develop abilities that fall into two categories: Powered (sentinel/warrior) and Source (guide/healer). Their true powers are only revealed when they find their one genetically compatible match. A shadow government kidnaps these individuals, puts them into lifebonds, trains them for combat, then sends them out in teams to do all the dirty work. Codependency, mind-bonding, unhealthy love, and bloody murder probably ensue.

HOW IT WORKS
- Your video game characters are now meta versions of themselves. How this effects their personality is up to you, but they're essentially now from an arcade version of their game and interact in this post 'off screen' once the arcade's closed and their game isn't playing.
- Your non video game characters can come from an arcade game you just made up. (Example: Supernatural could be a shoot-em-up demon killing game.)
- Feel free to go game jump and have fun! Remember, you don't get 1ups in games that aren't yours, so stay safe!

 How to Love No matter how straightforward it may seem, the human emotion of "love," especially true, unconditional love, is complex and often hard to understand. All that forgiveness, all that dedication, all that light in the dark - how can one person have all that inside of them? You don't understand that, possibly because you're not a human. You're a calculating robot, an alien with a completely different frame of reference, or an artificially created being told only to feel certain ways. If you are a human, however, that doesn't necessarily clue you in to all the secrets of affection. Cold, uncaring assassins, brutal warriors, ruthless womanizers and maneaters, or the just plain broken can often feel like robots among their own kind. But you want that to change. You have a stirring in your chest for someone and you want to know what love is so you can make them happy. This is the first time you've ever wanted to do so and be so unselfish. Hopefully, they can be a good teacher and help you open up, getting you both closer... ...or you could end up with someone as inexperienced as you. Well, there is something to be said about learning together.

TYPE OF SCENE.
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Sex → First times, kinks, even dubcon are all possible themes of sex related scenarios.
⑦ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!
