HOW IT WORKS
- Your video game characters are now meta versions of themselves. How this effects their personality is up to you, but they're essentially now from an arcade version of their game and interact in this post 'off screen' once the arcade's closed and their game isn't playing.
- Your non video game characters can come from an arcade game you just made up. (Example: Supernatural could be a shoot-em-up demon killing game.)
- Feel free to go game jump and have fun! Remember, you don't get 1ups in games that aren't yours, so stay safe!

You're done for the evening! Stop beating up the villain of your game and go off and have a drink at Tapper's or do whatever you do for fun around here.
2. GAME CENTRAL STATION
The hub world of this universe! You can meet up with anyone from about any game here. Passing by your friend from the new fighting game? The girl on the dancing rhythm game?
3. NOT AS PLANNED
Someone's not acting as scripted during working hours! OH NO. Go whip them into shape before they get your game unplugged! Speaking of…
4. OUT OF ORDER
Your character is homeless because they got unplugged. Oh no. ):
5. GAME JUMP DATE.
The arcade is closed over the weekend! You can visit any game with someone safely for a day or two. Let me take you on a magic kart ride?

[Well, it's hardly a difficult request, but it is a little odd... He gives Henry a quizzical look.]

"Collection?"

[Humans really didn't give Link enough credit: those expressions really say it all.]

Yeah I like to collect bones from different games. I'd rather not risk gamehopping for a hobby, y'know? Besides you always have sidequests!

[Link looks to Proxi then back to Henry, and nods. It's true, collecting enemy drops is a big part of his game already; one extra bone is no biggie.]

[Henry cackles from their mp3 clip.]

[The words GAME OVER flash on the player's screen as the scene goes black, leaving Ganondorf and the just defeated Link to relative privacy. This prompts a polite clearing of the throat and Ganondorf holding out a hand to his eternal nemesis.]

Perhaps you'll have a competent controller next time, hm?

[Proxi, competitive soul that she is, is ready to launch into a tirade about how they'll totally win next time, you'll see, but Link motions for her to cool it and takes Ganondorf's hand, grinning sheepishly. He's not one to complain, but yeah, here's hoping...]

[Who could blame Harry for having a fascination - and a little jealousy - with Arrow and its cast of superheroes? It's the hottest game in the arcade right now. With a variety of playable characters to match different play styles and an arsenal of unique challenges and enemy characters, it's got a little something for everyone.

Spider-Man is a classic, so they don't have to really worry about getting unplugged any time soon, but it doesn't stop him from staring enviously at the crowds Arrow attracts. It's kind of become routine for him to poke his head in on the weekends and get a look at the crowd-pleasing game for himself. By now, he recognizes just about everyone, but it's the notorious Speedy that he eventually moseys up to with a teasing grin.]

(Arrow had only been in the arcade for a few weeks but had already snagged a tourney night along with crowds pretty much every night. From strong female leads to enough weapons to keep people coming back for more, its lines were earned. But Thea aka Speedy had been making full use of downtime to check out the other comic book games, Spider-Man being a frequent stop complete with banter with Harry.)

Actually I did! Felicity, Laurel and I got used in a tag team and we creamed Ra's Al Ghul in spades. But yes again Oliver is creaming all of us in the boards along with Ray Palmer and Roy. Only problem is we're due for an update, word of a new villain since Ra's Al Ghul's arc is wrapping up.

Girl Power, huh? Nice. [And who wouldn't want those three on a team? They're all a force to be a reckoned with. Harry's just glad he doesn't have to be on the opposing end of Laurel's Canary Cry, Thea's arrows, or Felicity's brain. Getting kicked in the head by Peter on a regular basis is bad enough.]

You guys are getting an update? Lucky! [But he can't help but be excited, both for the Arrow gang themselves and because new additions are always interesting.] How are they gonna top Slade and Ra's? Those guys are something else.

[Ah, closing time at last! Which means Vert heads straight for her favorite cafe in the hub and orders her preferred blend of tea. This is such a common routine for her she's practically part of the scenery.

There's one difference today, though.

She's just come off the set of Hyperdevotion Noire - specifically the battle scenes. So not only does she have the proportions of a bobblehead, she's also short. So she's standing on her seat to see over the table, and can just about manage her normal-sized teacup by holding it in both of those stubby little arms.]

Daryl Dixon | The Walking Dead

[Daryl's one of the storyline characters from the 3rd person zombie shooter 'The Walking Dead', an arcade spin off of the more comics-focused home game. The game usually puts you in control of Rick Grimes for the action and you can make certain cut scene choices to progress the story while destroying walkers and other survivors in as creative and gory a manner as possible.

There are a few chapters where you get to control the other characters, like Daryl here, as 'bonus rounds'.]

Th-thank you! You're a boss from Final Fantasy, right? I'll admit, I don't know much about it, but… I have heard that it's a really great game series.

I've heard people passing by Undertale discussing theories. It's amazing what people can come up with.

Indeed, the ninth title in the series, released in 2000. However, I wasn't merely a boss, but the main villain.

[Not a big favorite, but at least Kuja himself was memorable; fortunately Dissidia also gave recognition a boost, even if he had certain criticisms on the role.]

It is, and a real sign of fan devotion, in my opinion. Only gamers who are engaged bother with theorizing. Congratulations on your success!

Why, thank you. I do enjoy playing it, even if my polygon count isn't much to speak of. I even have a dramatic ambiguous death scene! Doesn't happen as often obviously but I put my all into it.

[He's the main boss for the new Star Wars game. Ridiculously hard to beat thanks to a glitchy final level that makes it difficult for attacks to hit him. Basically a method actor when the arcade is full of people, but alright when he's not in full-on Daniel Day Lewis thespian mode. ]
