| As children, it seems we get along much better than we ever can as adults. Everyone is a friend, everything is an adventure. We can be close, and it's like those halcyon days will never end. Still, even as children, there as some people we're closer to and care more for than others. What if that connection grew as we did, and when we are older becomes something more...mature? This isn't a childhood attraction anymore. You've both grown and now you have grown needs. Will you indulge it, those sweet or not-so-sweet memories making this rendezvous all the sweeter? |

The Abrupt Kissing Meme
Plain and simple: your character is being kissed. Abruptly. How did this happen? Were they talking too much to the point where it was the only way to shut them up? Was someone bidding adieu or just not able to hold in their feelings? Or was this some CPR class gone bad? More importantly—how do they react?
How this works:

INCEPTION AU MEME
Ever wanted to throw your character into the wonderful world of dream share? Want to do a crossover with your spy or detective or wizard? Now's your chance!
1. Post your character, list any preferences (or no-nos) you may have!
2. Set up a scenario, if you'd like! Is your character an extractor, architect, point man, etc? What job are they on?
3. Tag around - do weird AU crossover things, whatever your heart desires.
4. Dream a little bigger, darling~ (and be excellent to each other)
Warning: Some threads may involve violence, psychological manipulation, or sex.
Roles:
Extractor: They lead the operation, organizing the team and acting as the main creative force behind the operation.
Point (Wo)man: They do most of the nitty gritty work - researching marks, planning the logistics of the heist, making sure the risk is minimized.
Architect: They design the actual dream levels.
Forger: Psychologically adept, forgers can impersonate real people the mark knows, or invent characters to distract and/or manipulate a mark.
Chemist: They formulate the drug compounds (called somnacin) necessary for the dreamers to enter a shared dream state.
Projection: A figment of a person’s subconscious, usually manifesting as a person - either a random stranger or possibly someone you know! Or maybe even a shade.
Mark: The target of the extraction!

shipping meme  There's always a right tool for the job, be it as simple as a hammer for a nail or on up to the much, much more complex. In this, the near future, the new tool for the abstract, post-modern job is no longer from the humble tool box - it's robots. Robots have taken over most sectors, such as assembly, law enforcement, and even health care. Things run so much smoother when they're automated. Yet the most impressive factor is that robots have just recently begun to enter a sector previously believed to require human touch: the personal sector. From personal assistants to robo bodyguards to pleasurebots, most anyone who's anyone has a personal robot these days. Of course, humanity being the narcissistic charmers we are, all "companion" sector robots are made in our own beautiful image, or close to it. But you know this. You have a personal robot, after all...or you are one. Whether owner or robot, it's important to remember one key rule: robots, no matter how human they appear, cannot feel emotions. Any appearances thereof are programming in the AI. Robots certainly, absolutely, cannot fall in love. Again, any appearances thereof are programming in the AI. JEALOUSY
Everyone feels jealous at one point or another, whether it's justified or not. What's important is how we deal with it... do we discuss it, fight about it, or plan epic revenge to carry out?

Your friend or lover has found someone new they want to spend almost all their time with and you can't help but feel a little cheated.

Forget just a sneaking suspicion. You've caught your lover in the act of cheating and it's driving you nuts. You have to confront them about it.

You did all the work, or at least you feel like you did, so why do they always get all the praise?

You broke up or had a falling out with someone close to you and it's killing you to see how they've seemed to let go and you're stuck standing in place.

You're jealous of any attention they get because you're secretly in love with them. Time to make it known!

Everyone always praises them or they were clearly the favorite child or just more popular with friends. You can't help but hate it.

they're more experienced, either in the bedroom or in the office. Any activity, they outshine you. Who wouldn't feel a little inferior?

The Train to the Afterlife Meme
Congratulations: You are dead.
Maybe you know how, maybe you don't. Perhaps the memory is fuzzy, or perhaps it's crystal clear down to the look in your comrades' eyes. Maybe it was your time; you've done all you wanted to. Or maybe you weren't at all ready to go, maybe you went out kicking and screaming - but none of it matters. You know you're dead, and the train is taking you to an afterlife. Perhaps an afterlife of your choice; you might've earned that heaven. Or perhaps you've earned something else entirely.
It'll be a bit of a journey, though, so you might as well take your time and talk to the other people in your coach. Death knows no place: most of them are strangers, even from faraway worlds. But death knows no time either, so who knows, some of them may be people you know, even if last you knew, they were alive - or long gone.
Oh look, here comes the snack cart.
All the usual:
- Post with your character's name and canon in the subject line.
- Said character is now dead for whatever reason - canon, AU, what have you. They are on a train with other dead people from many other times, places and worlds.
- Characters don't know for a fact where they're headed - just a general awareness that they're going to some kind of afterlife. Whatever they think it is is up to the player.
