Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

Plus, he guesses Midorima will force himself to pay for everything today anyway. ]
Mm, thank you. I'll try not to be too much of a burden.
no subject
I think being burdensome might be one task you'd have difficulty accomplishing, Akashi.
[ He knows him too well to think he could ever accidentally or intentionally put Midorima out. Midorim can sometimes be doting when it comes to Akashi and often does things he needs or for his sake without being asked first, it's one of many reasons why he made a good Vice Captain.
It's usually a Cancerean behavior reserved for romantic partners, but he'll just put that aside in a mental box where no one better point it out to him ever because he is already aware, even if he's sure it'd be better if he wasn't.Midorima is glad that he's letting him have this one without argument. ]The museum isn't too far.
no subject
He might have no reason to lose friends anymore, but insecurities don't go away so quickly. He wouldn't even have told people to lower their heads or that he's absolute if he never cared about how others view him. Back then, people should view him as absolute.
In the back of his mind where his other self resides, he thinks that what Midorima said is not true. The thought permeates his consciousness but Akashi decides not to say anything about it. ]
Ever? [ He laughs a little. ] I'd like to believe we've all become a burden for each other at least once in our lives.
no subject
You've relied on me before, but it was never a responsibility I considered troublesome or hard to bear.
[ Anything he would consider a burden regarding Akashi was his own sense of responsibility and a want to get his friend back- not something he would consider Akashi the burden itself over. ]
no subject
[ It's... validation, in a way, and it makes his heart swell just a tad to know that he doesn't have to be that conscious when it comes to certain things. ]
I'll continue to rely on you, too.
no subject
[ He's actually not mad about that, and it's likely Akashi can read his tone to tell it's more a curiosity than anything. People have 0 problem telling him he's a pain to deal with. He likes to think he's less of one to Akashi than others, or at least he tries to be. ]
no subject
He remembers something, though. ]
I recall receiving a complaint about a small statue of a giraffe. One of the members tripped and stubbed their toe, although I never really brought this up with you.
So no, not necessarily. Although I wasn't quite sure how to explain it to an upperclassman.
no subject
[ That's easy enough to explain. He's definitely okay with that being the worst burden he's ever been if that's true, though. ]
It wasn't a live animal, the upperclassman should be grateful.
[ >implying he has brought a live animal before, though even he recognizes that time was a bit of a problem even if the frog was surprisingly well behaved and stayed on the bench... ]
no subject
[ It looks like the museum is very near as Akashi can see people outside congregating near a building. Plus, he can hear some music!
He puts some rush in his step. ]
I hope we can still catch a performance.
no subject
It sounds like we'll make it.
[ If the music in the air is any indication, at least. He did say they were likely going to miss the geza demonstration, but that didn't mean there weren't other performances afterward. ]
no subject
I'm glad. Although I hope the line moves quickly enough. I'd rather not miss anymore if I have to. We also have to go to the arcade before it closes.
no subject
[ They could stay until museum close if Akashi wanted and still have time to get to the arcade. It really depends on when Akashi has to leave and how long he wants to stay. ]
no subject
I actually have to be back by 7, as much as I'd like to stay longer.
no subject
Three hours here, an hour for a late lunch, and an hour for the arcade.
[ That should give him three hours to get home with a little time to spare. Midorima is going to set an alert on his phone in case they lose track of time. He goes up to purchase entry to the museum and get their pamphlets. ]
Are you matching my icons
[ He takes one of the pamphlets and begins to peruse it, ears attentive to what sounds he's already able to hear. ]
SHHHHhHhhHhhh COVERS MY FACE
Did you want to spend more time at the arcade?
[ Midorima hasn't been yet, so he's not really sure where they should head first, willing to follow Akashi wherever he wants to go. There seems to be a group of people gathering around a door within their eyeline where there's a tour guide talking about the history of gagaku. There are a number of very old looking instruments and historical music sheets in displays around the room in eyeline too, along with informational stands, and the source of the music wherever it's coming from- there are obviously a number more rooms to visit. Midorima seems to be waiting to see where Akashi wants to go first. ]
no subject
[ And seeing as he'll be the one deciding where to show Midorima around in Kyoto, Midorima can call the shots here. He just wants Midorima's opinion on things, that's all.
Akashi follows the crowd on tour for a bit, eager to hear what their tour guide has to say. When he realises he's studied those things already such as the history of some instruments and the like, he begins to tune the noise out. ]
It's so peaceful to look at pieces of history.
[ He places the pamphlet in his coat pocket, deciding to just go wherever his feet take him. ]
no subject
It's something he agrees with, of course. Midorima appreciates tradition and history more than most might, perhaps moreso since coming to Shutoku given the school's heavily tradition oriented style. His eyes turn away from the guide and what he was explaining to Akashi. ]
It reminds me that the world has gone on long before us.
[ that it would continue to go on as long as they took steps to make their mark, yes, but it's also an opportunity to remove yourself from the present for just a moment when you need to think about something far off from today. That was comforting at times. ]
no subject
At least it's good to know that even Seijuro Akashi has his limits. ]
Do you think you're able to play the koto, Midorima?
no subject
I would need to learn backward and upside down to play from the other side if I wanted to. I don't think anyone makes left-handed koto. I wouldn't want to put my fingers through what learning the koto right-handed would take.
[ Since usually it's the left hand that gets the pain from touching the strings, whereas the right hand is protected by picks. He holds up his taped hand as if to make a point, though he knows Akashi is already aware of how intense he is about them. ]
I'll leave strings to you.
no subject
I'd much prefer the kokyu, though.
[ But as he says that, he leads them to where the museum holds their kotos and other stringed instruments. The display is open, with the instruments not behind glass but line dividers. ]
no subject
[ Midorima follows Akashi along. Even if he doesn't think it would be worth his time to learn one, there are many of these that he can imagine Akashi playing, even wearing traditional clothing in his head. He thinks he would like to simply watch the other boy master some of these instruments as he does seemingly everything he touches. It's rare for a far-off look to grace his features, as focused as Midorima usually is, but for a brief moment it looks like he's lost in his own thoughts. ]
no subject
[ Not that Akashi needs to save up for anything given his family's wealth, but he wants to be able to spend for it with his own money.
He continue to inspect the sheet music, trying to decipher it in his head. It's still a piece of history that he's able to appreciate despite his lack of knowledge. ]
no subject
The kokyu and piano work unexpectedly well together, if you do.
[ He's a little stuck in his ways, but he likes playing what he likes. ]
no subject
Akashi pauses in his step to actually imagine how a kokyu and a piano might sound like together. A kokyu is more shrill than a violin, but... ]
Ah, I can imagine it now. [ Maybe a rendition of Moon River would be lovely, if not a traditional piece. He decides to keep this thought to himself. ]
I'll have to find a store first. At least, I'd like one that's of good quality.
[ Not only is the Akashi family rich enough to own a corporation, but they are old enough to have been around to be considered nobles of the olden era. It's only apt for Seijuro--heir of the Akashi family--to have refined tastes. ]
