The Body Heat Meme



Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

One moment.

[ He goes to go get some tokens!! Akashi may be doing the work but he's still going to pay for them. He comes back with a small cup of them. What? They're going to need some for the competition too. ]

[ Akashi doesn't question why there's a lot of tokens when he just wanted a few. It looks like Midorima wants to play a lot of games, which is more than fine with him.

He takes one and inserts it in the slot. The game begins and Akashi grabs the hammer. The timer for the game lasts for two minutes, but if one hits the green alligator, then they get a 10-second bonus in their total time. The regular alligators are red (for some reason).

Akashi's first attempt at the game lasts for about six minutes.

He's won the top score, and along with it, the grand prize. ]

That was rather challenging.

[ Tickets are now being spit out by the machine. Yay. ]

[ Of course it does. While Akashi may have designated that as 'challenging,' Midorima found it fascinating to watch. That was the case most of the time with Akashi- everything he did was amazing and everything he touched would inevitably end in a success for him. Even this game that he'd never touched before, he picked up more quickly than one would expect of any person with normal human reflexes and talents. Midorima would love to see how high of a score he could get with actual practice. If he didn't want to actually play with him, he would be happy to just watch him take the top score on every game in the arcade.

To be fair, with the top scores staying in the arcade, he could use that to technically compete with Akashi even without Akashi being here too, which would edge him a little closer to his goal even if it's in something he isn't particularly concerned with like wack-a-gator. But as much as he enjoys watching Akashi, in the end, he would rather play him- with or against.

He also wishes he'd known Akashi would've liked the arcade sooner because they certainly could've saved themselves both time and trouble, Midorima thinks as he stares down the PuriKura machine for a brief moment after retrieving the tickets for Akashi. He kind of wants one anyway, even if he has the one from the ferris wheel on his phone already. Midorima makes a mental note to ask Akashi to take one with him before they have to return him to the train station, then focuses back in on the moment. ]

[ The game attendant is coming over to confirm the score now, so he doesn't quite start heading further into the arcade to look for the shooting game, and once he does he goes to fetch the elephant for Akashi. ]

[ The elephant truly is a large one, even as a toy. It's about as tall as a three-year old child, and the attendant lugs it towards where both Akashi and Midorima are before placing it on the floor. It's wrapped in clear plastic, so even if its feet are touching the floor, it won't get dirty.

"Here you go, congratulations!" he says with beads of sweat falling down his face. It looks like it's the first time somebody scored that much. Ah... but of course, Akashi would just find this normal. It's what is expected of him.

After thanking the attendant, Akashi puts a smile on as he picks up the elephant (covering most of him) and offers it to Midorima. ]

I did. And this is merely one of its fruits. [ A beat. ] Take it.

[ That thing is huge and it's going to live in his room, Akashi. Think about what you've done.

Midorima wonders if they shouldn't stick to playing games that don't have prizes for top scores for the sake of the arcade, but accepts it from Akashi and holds it with both arms. It's a good thing he's used to carrying around large items most people would think were embarrassing, so even as he figures out how to arrange it so that it's not awkward to carry around, he doesn't look remotely bothered by it.

At first, he tries to carry it like one would a dog but it proves to be unwieldy, even for the larger boy- the arcade was too packed with machines to take up that much width. He shifts the plastic around it a little so that he can get it over his shoulders instead. Seemingly satisfied with this position (though he did wish he had some ties so he could just carry it on his back) he turns his attentions back to Akashi. ]

I'll have to set it down once we find our next game.

[ Which is why he didn't unwrap it yet. He will wait until he gets home!! ]
