Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!

[ There's a room they haven't gone to yet so it's where Akashi leads them too. ]

Tofu pudding isn't so traditional, but I suppose that might be it.

[ A pause, then he looks up at Midorima. ]

Do you still like red beans?

[ Akashi does love his tofu, after all. At least that's not unexpected. Midorima nods. ]

There are a number of vending machines around Tokyo that carry oshiruko year around.

[ He never runs out or has to special order it, it's great........ ]

[ Akashi's not going to judge Midorima for his tastes when it doesn't even offend him nor find it weird. ]

Do you also like dorayaki?

Dorayaki is fine. I prefer anpan, the castella in the dorayaki can make it too sweet if it's improperly done.

[ But that's more of a quality issue, and with the anpan it tends to be a bread that's less sweet than cake, after all. ]

[ It seems Midorima is picky with food, much like other things. Alright. ]

I'll trust you on that one. Our desserts at the Rakuzan dorms are usually fruit or other healthy snacks. They really try to take care of our diet.

Takao is on the health committee and I'm on the physical education committee. Even if Shutoku had stricter policies like Rakuzan, none of us will be neglecting our diets. I don't think there's anything wrong with an occasional treat. I'll find a place that serves tofu pudding next time you're here.

[ You'll take his canned oshiruko from his cold dead perfectly manicured hands. Midorima is heading back to some of the rooms they didn't get a good look at when they were focusing more on the search for Himawari's mother so they can make sure they didn't miss anything, unless Akashi suggests otherwise. ]

[ Akashi's quick to notice where they're headed and he's perfectly fine with it. They'll find themselves where the woodwinds are being kept, and in the other room is another demonstration room for them. ]

[ He's not going to say no to more tofu! ]

Did you not consider joining the student council in Shutoku, Midorima?

[ Akashi feels that Midorima would be suitable for tasks in the student council too. ]

[ He might be suitable but he's also a spoiled brat who just wants to practice and do his own thing, thanks. ]

At Teiko I put a lot of effort into assisting you with wrangling and managing the first string; at Shutoku I prefer to do as I please. Student council would not allow me the freedom to put my full efforts into what I want. The Physical Education committee gets me access to the gym much longer than a normal student so Takao and I can continue practice after regular practice hours.

[ Midorima and Takao are so close and yet, it seems Midorima's eyes are on somebody else. Akashi wants to question this out of curiosity-- as to why he's not interested in Takao, but it's not something he should be asking. He considers this as something he'll wonder about for a really long time, instead. ]

You and Takao have been really close, haven't you? It must be nice to have a partner you can rely on in the team.

We aren't that close. [ Says the guy who took a bath with him.. ] We beat his team devastatingly in middle school. He decided he was going to defeat me in high school, only for us to be a part of the same team. Eventually he started invading my practices with the intention of forcing me to acknowledge him as a player. I invited him to go watch Kaijou and Seirin's practice game and since then he's decided to be a great annoyance, often speaking for me without permission or deciding he's going to go places with me on a whim, so I started calling for him to come when he'll be useful to save time. [ The tsun is hard in this explanation. What is friendship for 2000 points? ] I wouldn't call it "nice," but he's not disappointing.

[ Midorima, it's okay to tell Akashi that you've made friends with someone!! ]

You needn't hold back with your words. He's not here.

If he were, he'd know what I meant regardless.

[ At the very least, he trusts Takao to interpret him correctly 8/10 times, and the other 2 he's usually intentionally misinterpreting to get a rise out of him. ]

He's someone well-suited to work with me.

[ Akashi smiles at that comment before walking elsewhere, not towards the direction of the demonstrations. It's good to know Midorima isn't lonely at Shutoku. ]

Is it okay if I got a souvenir?

[ The souvenir shop doesn't have a kokyu, but they can get keychains or something! ]

Go ahead.

[ He'll follow him anywhere to the gift shop then. Midorima has, funnily enough, been in the gift shop many times for lucky items- even if not the rest of the museum. It's how he found out about the exhibit in the first place. Gift shops are good places to get unusual items and figures. ]

[ It seems that there isn't a kokyu keychain available anymore, being one of the more popular souvenirs sold today. There's at least a small koto keychain that Akashi holds up. ]

This is cute. What do you think?

[ Midorima examines it briefly, then moves to grab a second one. ]

It is.

[ He'll get them both the same one. ]

[ Matching keychains! Akashi doesn't really think much of it now, though, and instead just heads fo the counter to have it paid ]

[ That's fine. But since this whole situation with his feelings is out, Midorima doesn't mind if they have a reminder of each other outside of just their memories. He takes Akashi's and pays at the register, then hands his back to him. ]

Even if it was somewhat derailed, I'll assume you had a good time then.

[ Derailed? Akashi--this Akashi--doesn't mind. The other one likely would have made a scene about it. ]

It's fine. It made it more interesting.

[ Plus, Midorima wouldn't have been honest with his feelings if they didn't. Akashi might not feel the same way but he truly does appreciate the honesty. ]

[ This whole day has been off from his expectations, from starting off poorly to gradually improving, despite a number of setbacks. It ran roughly according to his luck, in Midorima's views, and possession of the commemorative photograph seemed to have assuage some of the problems to make it at least survivable compared to the near-freezing this morning. More than survivable, despite difficulties both he and Akashi managed to have a good time. Part of him wonders if he had managed to get an actual printout of the photograph if it would have been even better, but there's nothing to be done about that. ]

Let's go get something to eat.

[ Midorima takes his keys out to put the keychain on them so that he doesn't lose it. This is an important day, after all. He finally told Akashi how he felt, even if it wasn't ideal or the way he wanted to, and Akashi didn't push him away. Of course he wants to keep that with him. ]

[ To the ramen place! Akashi attaches the keychain to his set of keys as well, before placing them back in his bag, and then begins to walk. He soon realises he's not quite sure which place Midorima wants to eat at, so he slows his pace and waits for the other to lead. ]

Soup would be nice.

[ Midorima knows exactly where he wants to take Akashi, so he doesn't hesitate to take the lead when he notices the other boy's subtle shift of pace. It's a small hole in the wall family owned noodle place, almost to the arcade, that he ends up taking Akashi to. ]

They have a variety of soup and noodle dishes, but I don't think any are healthy options.

[ If Akashi wants to be weary of that even if it's very good, there are a few other places nearby. ]

I can indulge myself every so often. Besides, nobody else will know.

[ Akashi is very conscious of his diet and his father watches what his son eats all the time, but he isn't around. Akashi can do whatever he wants! ]

[ That's true. Midorima sure isn't repeating the events of today to anyone beyond stating that they went to a museum and lunch, and definitely to no one who would care. ]


As far as anyone else is concerned, we went to the museum, had a well balanced meal, and talked until you had to leave.

[ It's not a lie, which is good because despite not being honest with his feelings all the time, Midorima is not a good liar nor does he want to be. No one needs to know they're eating good food and going to an arcade or.. anything they've talked about today. ]

[ Is Midorima ashamed of going to the arcade? No, it doesn't seem like it. Akashi isn't either, though. ]

I don't mind telling others about the arcade. If I bring back a prize, I wouldn't be able to hide it.
