Either way, you're sharing a flat (or maybe even a room) now! What's going to happen?

[ Returning from Europe to a New York once the war was over had felt like stepping onto another planet. Before the war ended, Peggy hadn't imagined a life with Steve that didn't involve fighting; more so, she hadn't been foolhardy enough to hope for it. Yet, there they were, adjusting to a new type of day to day existence in the wake of World War II.

Howard Stark had been kind enough to put them both up in a lavish penthouse in the city, and while there may have been whispers on the street, no one was dumb enough to say a word regarding the living situation of Captain America and his best girl.

More importantly, Peggy found herself filled with a newfound hope and excitement for her future. A future that, she hoped, would include one Steve Rogers. For the time being, however, that future mostly involved grocery shopping, and it was an errand she had no intention of doing alone. ]

Are you ready, Steve? [ She called down the hallway, still finishing fastening the straps of her shoes as she waits for him appear. ] If we take much longer, all of the shops will close.
