8. a lie. You don't really love this person, but you're forced to play along either for their sake or because someone is forcing you to.
9. drunk confession. You're not in your right mind, either from drugs or alcohol, and you just let it all hang out about how you feel about this person.
10. lust confession. You don't love them exactly, you just want their body.
11. still in love. You were together once before and broke up for some reason, but you still love this person and they have to know it.

[Like Laura told Julian: there's someone else.

It was New York that made her realize it. She'd tracked them down and watched from a distance; made sure a 'mysterious' benefactor dropped a great deal of money for them. Her very first real friends, and maybe her only real friends besides Remy, Mercury, Dust, and perhaps Jubilee. Everyone else was dead or like Julian had proved that Laura was just another object. Just a tool. (Or Megan, but Laura would not think of Megan.)

Laura couldn't get drunk. Logan could, with his lessened healing factor, but no amount of drinking could make Laura intoxicated.

So when the magician hit her with that spell - just a child, and apparently Loki, but it wasn't as if Laura knew or cared - the feeling was entirely...novel.

'You have someone to meet!' the little boy had announced, turning her around as Laura wobbled 'You must go to your damsel, bold warrior!'

He was teasing her, she was fairly sure. Fairly. But off she went, leaning heavily against buildings, and oh, so this was what Logan went looking for? Laura couldn't say it was exactly pleasant. She was irritated and disoriented and--

She really had to tell someone something. So she climbed the fire escape (only falling once) and then promptly...sprawled over the gravel on the roof.]
