LOVE CONFESSIONS
You can't be around this person without your stomach tying up in knots or your heart skipping a beat. You know, all those cliches people use to describe that feeling of being in love with someone close to you.
You've finally decided it's time to share those feelings of yours and get them out in the open, even if it doesn't end well for you!
1. extravagant confession. You've set up a wonderful night, planned everything down to the T to make sure it's perfect for your confession!
2. note/text. You couldn't do it face to face, so you send a note or a text instead.
3. doomed. You know the other person doesn't love you or just can't be with you, but you need them to know how you feel anyway.
4. childish. You're not actually in love. You just have a childish crush on someone's close to you.
5. bittersweet. Things have all gone to hell anyway, so you might as well let everything out in the open, right?
6. in the heat of the moment. You guys are having an argument and you didn't mean to blurt out how you feel about them, but... oops.
7. serious. You're dead serious about this person, no doubt in your mind, and it's time to tell them.
8. a lie. You don't really love this person, but you're forced to play along either for their sake or because someone is forcing you to.
9. drunk confession. You're not in your right mind, either from drugs or alcohol, and you just let it all hang out about how you feel about this person.
10. lust confession. You don't love them exactly, you just want their body.
11. still in love. You were together once before and broke up for some reason, but you still love this person and they have to know it.
12. other. miss something? Play it out anyway!

[He remembers more than a few times when he had to sneak around those agencies to stay in DC to finish his work. They had jobs to do, but so did he, and he's not the type to leave one unfinished and/or half-assed.
After she had told him that was one reason she kept her phone on, he had been expecting some sort of comment about his clueless guess. But when it didn't come, he knew she was being more serious than usual. But so was he.]

[Better yet, let them not discuss anybody else but them.]
Working later today?
[She's curious because if by some stroke of good luck he's not, she might call to hear his voice. It's a little less impersonal than text messages.]
no subject
[He's fine with her suggestion of not talking about another person; not in the middle of this conversation anyway.]
No, not any more for the day, because even though it's not yet twelve PM here, I've already been in and come back home. All I had to do was get more information on what I'm doing next week. I have time for a ton of incoming messages today.
[He starts to wonder if he can just skip next week from the calendar all together. Two weeks would go by faster. But then again, by doing that, he would miss out on his work, even though where he has to go isn't exactly on any 'safest places to be in the world' lists that might exist. He's more than used to that at this point, though.]

[She's mostly joking, but damn if she doesn't really want to, even just for a day or two. Now she doesn't want to text him or deal with only his voice. Skype may be a little better than nothing at all, but she can't touch him or give him a hug over the internet.]

[It is difficult to be so far apart that talking to her on the phone isn't always an option, or talking via Skype, or whatever other communication method. He's almost tempted to see if he can transfer to a different position that would either allow him to be in DC more or work primarily from DC and just move there.]

[Sometimes, Angela needs somebody in her life to slap her hand and say no to her. All he's doing is egging on that impulsive side of her to really do this. Of course, Cam would probably pissed off and rightfully so, but once in a lifetime kind of thing here. Wouldn't be the first time Cam laid the boss hammer down on her.]
no subject
[He sends off the message, but he isn't even sure if she's seriously considering coming early or not.]

[It's a bad idea financially spending all that money for a plane ticket for what, two days at the most? Jobwise, it's risky professionally because Angela likes a steady paycheck and Cam not angry with her. She really wouldn't have to pull the sick routine if she just pulled a few extra strings and went in to square things away before she left for the shortest pleasure trip of a lifetime but that means planning ahead. The biggest reason why she shouldn't do it is that, she isn't a college student anymore who can just quit a job after a week and move wherever she pleases just because it's Tuesday and it's two in the afternoon.
But she is a woman with a credit card and internet access. Don't give her any leeway to find the wild spirit still in her.]

[Of course he would rather be seeing her sooner rather than later, and apparently patience is a virtue, but two weeks is starting to seem somewhere around forever from now. He could suck it up and survive it, though.]
no subject
[They both can wait and Angela the most. There's no need to go now and risk everything. She's not that young anymore. Two weeks will fly by, her schedule will be clear and he will mange to carve some days out for her and then they will have enough time to sort their feelings out in person. Two days will get them nowhere but frustration.]
Fine. I'll behave, but I won't like it. :(

[The two weeks are going to be helpful for him so he can figure out how to best articulate his feelings and whatnot. Not that he isn't sure about his feelings, because he is sure, but he doesn't want to sound ridiculous or anything like that. That would be awkward and probably a disaster; both are things he would like to avoid.]
At least we'll both be having two slow weeks and it won't be just you not liking it. Anyway, aside from the earlier made suggestions, any other ideas of what you want to do when you do get here?
no subject
The art scene, definitely. Maybe a club or two. Or five. Where you grew up. Places important to you.
no subject
So, this means I should be making a list of things to do in those categories, otherwise doing everything possible in them would take a year. At least. As for where I grew up, if you're fine with sitting in the car for about an hour while we drive to the other side of the country, that's possible to see.
no subject
[Only an hour's drive? He's talking to the woman who drove from New York to Seattle twice on her own. An hour is nothing compared to that road trip.]
I'm fantastic with that. I can take in the scenery and poke at the radio while you drive.
[Because in the interest of keeping them both in one piece through the entire trip, it's better he take the wheel.]
no subject
[It would still be a full list, but he'd make sure it was full of the best things.]
Sounds like a perfect plan; maybe we could even stay there for a couple of days? But, I take it you haven't heard the rumors about the drivers in Israel? If you had, you'd probably never want to willingly get in a car here ... so that's partly why I asked about the driving.
[He thought he would be doing the driving anyway, just because he knows the ways around.]

[The sun's starting to peek through her bedroom curtains, casting a dim glow across the hardwood floor and the art supplies scattered down there. It's about the time her alarm clock would ring and she would groggily hit snooze, but she doesn't want to end the conversation just yet.]
Are they as bad as the drivers in Italy where street signs are just a mild suggestion?
no subject
[He's realizing that he should start thinking about making some lunch, as it's now in to the afternoon.]
I don't think many people think about the fact that street signs exist here, so probably worse -- the mild suggestions that are printed on the street signs to begin with aren't even being read. So, I would advise using the seatbelt.
[He knows there's a reason why he didn't say if he was included in that "many people" or not. He does use the seatbelt, though.]

[Somehow, even through binary code disguised as font, miles, and an ocean, Angela has an inkling that he's one of those people. So's she, honestly. Her record has a certain number of speeding and parking tickets on it.
While he's thinking about lunch, Angela's grumbling her way out from between the sheets, still typing on her way to start washing up for the day.]
I really don't want to go to work today. I mean, I know we're past the whole wait two weeks thing, but now I have to get dressed and that means pants.
no subject
[He walks into the kitchen to get ready to find something for lunch.]
I need to be thinking about making lunch, anyway. Pants are overrated, ha. Don't fall asleep at work. [Before he sends the message, he re-reads it and decides to add something else to it before sending it.] Ani ohev otach. :) [Then, he finally sends the text message. If she doesn't know what the last three words say, she would either ask or be able to figure it out on her own. "I love you", in Hebrew. Might as well officially start her morning by saying the thing he said when he interrupted her night. Just in a different language this time.]

Ani ohevet otcha. ♥
[She's learning. Just for him.]
