LOVE CONFESSIONS
You can't be around this person without your stomach tying up in knots or your heart skipping a beat. You know, all those cliches people use to describe that feeling of being in love with someone close to you.
You've finally decided it's time to share those feelings of yours and get them out in the open, even if it doesn't end well for you!
1. extravagant confession. You've set up a wonderful night, planned everything down to the T to make sure it's perfect for your confession!
2. note/text. You couldn't do it face to face, so you send a note or a text instead.
3. doomed. You know the other person doesn't love you or just can't be with you, but you need them to know how you feel anyway.
4. childish. You're not actually in love. You just have a childish crush on someone's close to you.
5. bittersweet. Things have all gone to hell anyway, so you might as well let everything out in the open, right?
6. in the heat of the moment. You guys are having an argument and you didn't mean to blurt out how you feel about them, but... oops.
7. serious. You're dead serious about this person, no doubt in your mind, and it's time to tell them.
8. a lie. You don't really love this person, but you're forced to play along either for their sake or because someone is forcing you to.
9. drunk confession. You're not in your right mind, either from drugs or alcohol, and you just let it all hang out about how you feel about this person.
10. lust confession. You don't love them exactly, you just want their body.
11. still in love. You were together once before and broke up for some reason, but you still love this person and they have to know it.
12. other. miss something? Play it out anyway!

[ He is in fact still there, hands tucked meekly into his pockets and admiring the decor. It's kind of obvious a girl lives here, things are a lot nicer than at home in his apartment. More colorful too. The closest he gets is when he leaves all his art supplies out across his table, and those occasions are rare. ]

Soon enough, they're in the living room, and perched like a king in the middle of the sofa is Toby. He sleepily peers at the two of them.] Baaaaaaby! [Molly's voice takes on a tone as if she were talking to an infant, coming over to scoop Toby into her arms.] Say hi to Steve, Toby!

A faint grin is given to Molly as his gaze lifts to her. ]
My neighbor across the hall has cats.

[She waited as Toby leaned over and sniffed at Steve's hand. He was clearly skeptical, but curious as well. Sniff, sniff, and then a tentative lick. Soon, the furry little head was licking and munching the treats with fervor, worshipping (at least for the moment) the hand that bore them.]
Ah, he likes it! [Molly grinned happily at Steve.] Your neighbor's got great taste.

[ He looks pleased that Toby deigns his contribution worthy, waiting until his hand is empty before slowly reaching to rub the back of the cat's head. There, not so bad, right? ]
Hey, Toby...

D'aww, good boy, Toby... [Molly coos as Steve makes friendly her feline companion, making sure the latter is still secured in her arms. She chuckles at Steve.] Toby likes to think he's a tough guy but inside he's a sweetie.
S'pose it helps that you're so charming, too.

[ Instinctively he seems to shrink into himself a bit, sheepish at the compliment but still smiling quietly as he lets his hand drop away from the cat. ]
As long as you think so.
[ Charming doesn't really equate to a whole lot when you're his size, but that doesn't stop him from trying to be a good person. He's not doing it for the recognition...though it is nice, he has to admit. ]

TO STRIKE WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT ITCome on, make yourself comfy, I'll get the telly set up for the movie.

Toby that's not even cool I thought we were brosSteve nods agreeably, taking up a spot on the couch near where the cat had been perched. His gaze shifts around the room, and to the couch as well. ]
It's...really nice in here.

Mums before yums, man.]Oh, well, um, thanks! [Molly replied with a pleased smile, shrugging as she knelt down to open the DVD player.] I've been here for a while and somewhere along the way I made it homey.
By the way, would you like black-and-white or colour edition?
no subject
I died okay, that's not fair.]Color. Is it really in both?
[ That amuses him a little...but he supposes there are some people who'd prefer the one over the other for artistic reasons. ]
...is it better in one than the other?

[ He's sort of easy to make happy in that way. Quickly he shifts to make more room on the couch...not like he takes up a lot of it, mind, but what if she doesn't want to sit close? Better to let her decide that... ]

Righty, then. It's a Wonderful Life!

Molly seems enthused about the movie, so he's going to be quiet and try to pay attention to it. He'd remembered her saying it was a Christmas film, and it's a touching one at that. He feels more than a little sympathy for the lead character, and there's a visible relief in his sinking shoulders when his guardian angel finally intervenes. ]

She's a wonder, sometimes. Can't count how many lucky stars must have been looking out for him when he met her. ]
I get a little caught up in this sort of thing. Sorry.
no subject
No, i-it's all right. No need to apologize. I do it too, sometimes. That part where little George's ear bleeds always gives me the heebie-jeebies.
[She's actually a tad embarrassed to admit that, and she pats his hand once more. As the movie continues, she leaves it there. She also ends up lifting her legs onto the couch and curling them to her side, and she leans a little against Steve.]
no subject
[ Alright, that makes him feel a little less like a dork, and her hand against his is a little reassuring in itself. When she starts to lean into him, he's once again pulled out of the movie and realizes that really, that bony shoulder of his isn't going to be very comfortable.
So, instead, he lifts his arm to let her settle in before draping it lightly over her shoulders, like he's seen guys do in the movie theatres, though he glances questioningly at her. This is alright, right? ]
no subject
She rests against him, focusing back on the movie as Clarence shows George what life would be like without him in it.]
no subject
It's still a terrifying prospect, but almost in a good way. And he lets his nerves settle as she does, attention slowly returning to the film. ]
no subject
She doesn't interrupt too much more during the film, just a laugh here at some of the quips, but mostly she holds her tongue. And her hand tightens just slightly around Steve's when the film reaches its climax and George Bailey pleads for his life back. She can't help it, it gets her every time.]
no subject
But the movie proves to have a happy ending after all, and it's much to his relief. ]
no subject
[At this point she still hasn't let go of his hand, and she hasn't even realized.] Was it okay? Did I do it justice?
no subject
It was great. Really. I'm glad I saw it.
[ His ears turn a little pink, eyes darting lower as he recalls that their hands are still intertwined. ]
That is, I'm glad you invited me over to see it.
