Fairy tales just don't exist in real life, do they?

You consider yourself a realist, or even if you don't consider much, you're not sentimental. Bonds between people are grown through years of mutual experience, if that. Love is...difficult to describe, but if you do believe it exists, you think it's something that's worked at every day. Love at first sight? Now that's just ridiculous. There may be a rush of hormones, but you can't actually feel that strongly and that intensely over a person you've just met, especially when it's you. Especially when that someone is someone you'd never expect to fall for.

Well, the concept of "falling" in love is silly, anyway. If anything, it's more like a slow, leisurely saunter downwards - if such affections are even on your radar at all. That's how it truly is; people who fall in love with first sight are setting themselves up for failure and a short-lived relationship once the infatuation fades. You would never...

If you had a chance to go to space… would you? Oh, who are we kidding—we know that every single one of us would at the drop of a hat. We would go through all the months of training and studying, and we would put in all of our effort to pass with flying colors so we could be inside that rocket when mission control says “BLAST OFF!” With space, there are so many possibilities: new worlds, new life, new civilizations, dangerous explosions, giant robot battles, super advanced technology, intergalactic wars, and more.

But remember—there are people who say that space is disease and danger wrapped up in darkness and silence. They aren’t right though. Space is awesome.

There is a remote town on the Russian steppe. It's a place where the reach of old gods is long, the word of psychics is respected, and outsiders are distrusted.
