 GOOD END MEME Sometimes you want a fix-it AU. You want everyone to live, to be happy, to find love, so on and so forth. You want the bad guy to lose early, for victory and triumph. No one dies, some deus ex machina saves the world, everyone goes out for ice cream after the final battle, whatever. The moral of the story is, everyone gets a happy ending. Everyone. Slasher movie? Everyone survives the night and the axe murderer changes their ways because they got a puppy. War movie? Both sides decide it's not worth it and sign a peace treaty. So. Like. Have fun with your lives not sucking. |

 Dating...isn't what you'd consider the two of you doing. You're just close. Close enough to spend time together, do things you both enjoy, eat together, talk about problems, cuddle, and kiss, possibly. And you don't do most of these things with other people. Okay. Okay, so maybe you are dating. But do you need to disclose this fact to everyone else, or at least acknowledge it amongst yourselves - If you even realize it, that is. It's possible this whole "a couple" status has snuck up on you. Theoretically, at least. ...how did that happen?

shipping meme  You know the drill from every nineties movie/tv show known to man, because apparently there were no doors in the nineties: you, oh poor you, are stuck up in your room, and then, a rock is thrown at your window! Why, who would do such a thing? No, it's not some kind of burglar coming in to steal all your...private room things, it's your childhood friend from next door (who totally has a crush on you/you're nursing a crush on), your free-spirited boyfriend or girlfriend, or another rebellious love interest who has a long, long ladder and no need for conventional entrances. Why are they here? To finally confess their secret feelings for you? Give you your first kiss? Sneak you away because your parents don't approve? Maybe they have a crappy home life and just need somewhere to stay. Whatever the case may be, open those window panes and get ready for sneaking in, sneaking out, and possibly making out.

Caught in the rain
It started out quietly, and then, quite suddenly, you're caught in a storm. Time to find cover. Nothing much to do but to wait it out.
Scenarios listed below for those who want 'em.
i WHERE:
001 PLAYGROUND - Well, you can try to hide under the slide or maybe in the jungle gym... at least you're some place fun?
002 PARK - Always happens, caught outside trying to take advantage of the weather... and it ends up pulling a fast one on you.
003 STORE FRONT - Better hope they have an awning you can take advantage of.
004 THE BEACH - Not exactly the best place to be during a rainstorm, however it is possible to get caught in a sudden storm.
005 WILD CARD - Anyway you want it.
ii HOW:
001 TREE - Not the best cover, but it'll have to do, stay close to the roots and you won't get too wet.
002 UMBRELLA - Most conventional... Kinda boring. But it works.
003 NEWSPAPER - Not permanent, but it'll have to do. Good luck.

  Still, what is an adventure without an adventure of the heart? You are not alone, and you'll find that trying times can forge ironclad emotions. Of course, you'll find that the path of love is no easier here than anywhere else, be the person you admire an arranged fiancé you're not too fond of at first, a forbidden object of desire, a traveling companion, an enemy, a lifelong friend, an ally...or another species from you entirely. Yet, in any case, this is no time for romance, is it? Only moments can be stolen, and you must set aside your feelings for the greater good. In this time, in this place, will you get your happy ending, or will this story prove to be a much darker fantasy?

 Here's the thing: this person is completely, totally, absolutely into you. You're into them, admit it or not. And the icing on the cake? This, right now, is the moment. Whether there's romance in the air on a perfect date or it's an uncomfortably inappropriate time and place, you know there will never be an opportunity like this again. There's sparks. There's a connection. They're giving you A Look that melts your heart. All you have to do is make a move. You can do that, right? ...right? You're not too stubborn or too shy to do so, are you? This is your shot! But - wait. Oh no. Are you the kind of idiot who can't take a hint even if there are blaring neon arrows pointing you in the right direction? Hopefully, fingers crossed, you aren't. Because, like we said, you have to seize this once in a lifetime opportunity. No one likes to have to kick themselves down the road for not taking a chance, after all.

 You've been dating or, at the very least, considering each other mutual interests for a while now. Finally, there's been a decision made to move your relationship to the next level: a more physical one. You're making that jump, and maybe there's been some frustration, but you're ready now. Push aside the nervousness. You know this will be everything you ever wanted - and more, right? Because it's them. That's more than enough.

* "kink" here being used very loosely and not necessarily involving sex
In order to avoid long extrapolation, I'll say one thing: I've noticed that people like what I call "h/c shipping kink." Kink may not be the right word - sex need not be involved - but essentially, crappy things happen to our characters in their crapsack worlds in canon all the time. Sometimes, we like to see them happy. Or relatively happier. And less evil and more adjusted, for those of us who play those types. It's all very self-indulgent.
And, as you can tell from my username, I'm going to be compiling memes that have, for some reason, got micromanaged into ridiculous niches when they should all be under one umbrella. This first project is to wrangle up all the "caretaking" themed shipping memes. Basically, one character cares for the other, be it physically, emotionally, or otherwise. There is also shipping.
The end goal is to weed down redundant memes and, maybe, make this an all-purpose post!
HOW TO PLAY
- You know the protocol.
- Comment with your characters and preferences. Also, be sure to include whether your character would be the caretaker, the cared for, or if you can play either.
