Calming Presence
You're about to go off the rails. No, no "about," actually. You've left that train track fair behind, and you're crazy. Rage fills every inch of you, and there's no doubt you're about to do something dangerous, stupid, or reckless. Or all three. There's only one person who can calm you down: your partner.

Now, they're using closeness, reassurance, or physical intimacy to remind you what really matters, which is the two of you. Surely, this will bring you back, letting the anger ebb out and you'll be able to think straight again, even if your lover was the actual cause of all this mess.

Won't it? Surely you won't direct your wrath towards them, no matter what.

In Between & Undefined

zweisamkeit
(n.) the harmonious, often romantic togetherness of two people; a feeling of closeness or affection from being together with someone

Sometimes, there aren't words to describe the relationship between two people. Other times, there are words, but they fall pathetically short. As trite as the phrase sounds - and as maligned as it has been by not so subtle innuendo and lurid gossip - "special friends" best describes you and your most favored companion. The friendship is deep, no one can deny that, but its also more than that. Much More. What you share is romantic, too, though perhaps not on the same terms other people think in. Really, nothing about you two can be defined...and you don't want that to change.

You've found the one person you enjoy spending time with and can be comfortable around. Both of you are just enjoying being here together. It's that easy. It's that comfortable. They're one steady point in this crazy world, and you never have to put on airs around them.

Whether you need someone to comfort you, decompress or share hobbies with or simply offer a shoulder to lean on in silence, relax. They've got you covered, and, for once, you don't have to keep your walls up. Take the edge off.

MORE THAN JUST A JOB

It's only business, nothing personal...at least, that's how it started. You were pegged as the right one for a job that involves this person; your task could be positive, such as protecting them with their consent or without it, guiding them from point a to point b, and the like - or, as seedier transactions tend to go, it could be negative. You have to take them back to a place they really don't want to return to, you have to be a jailor, or you even have to be their assassin. At the very least, helping or hurting, you'll be compensated generously (by money or, you know, by not being killed off). And that was all that mattered.

Until they mattered.

They could have shown you something you never knew existed in the world or in yourself. They could have done any number of things, yet they've won you and your feelings over. Your priorities just may shift because of this, but will their view of you do the same as soon as they learn why you were around them in the first place? For your own gain? Will they be able to forgive you?

Even if they can, will they be able to see you the way you see them?

CRASHED THE WEDDING

Church bells chime out through the air. Forget just the bride - everything's decked out in white! There's going to a wedding today, which means there's certainly going to be a wedding night when the sun goes down. This should be a happy event! So what's the problem? It's not your wedding, but you want the person getting married badly. They're a crush, a former lover, a forbidden fruit, someone you just want for yourself, what have you.

There's only one thing for it: you're going to crash the wedding, the two of you will "elope" - whether you plan to marry them or not - and then, you'll have your own honey moon. Perhaps, the person you're desiring to know in all the most carnal ways wants to be rescued...

...if not, you may just steal them anyway.

HOW TO PLAY
  • Comment with your character, the role you'd like them to play, and any preferences (ie no smut, etc).
  • Reply to others.
  • Play.

PROMPTS
  • Mutual: They didn't want to get married to that other person anyway.
  • Conflicted: One party's still unsure or guilty on some level, but those doubts are slowly fading away.
  • Unwanted: You quite literally stole them away, possibly kicking and screaming.

The Feeling DOMINANT Meme

No matter what your usual preferences are, today, you're feeling dominant. This doesn't mean Dominant with a capital D as in the BDSM sense - unless that's what you're into. It simply means you want to take charge. Maybe you even want to be aggressive and possessive, or you just want to show what you want and when you want it. There could very well be some emotional desires behind this fancy, as well.

This could be a complete change in your normal personality, an extension of what you're naturally like, or a normal but possibly unexplored part of you. It could even mean a spike in sexual interest, libido, or confidence if you're usually not the one to initiate.

So whether you're with an established partner, in an AU setting, or with a one-night stand, let your inner boss shine through and top or top from the bottom. You can control...and that just may be exactly what they want.

  • Comment with your character, preferences, and any info you'd like to include.
  • All top levels are now feeling dominant, whatever that means for your character: aggressive, sweet, patient, demanding, strong, caring, uncaring, etc.
