Sure, complimenting personalities bring people together. It's always good to get along with your significant other or friends, so "birds of a feather flock together," as they say. But let's be honest. That doesn't make for good entertainment. Readers and viewers love a good odd couple, where the two are diametrically different. This can be in personality (good girls and bad boys), appearance (Beauty & the Beast, anyone?), species (ALIEN AND HUMAN LOVE IS REAL!!!1), and so on.
This meme is inspired by this concept and a certain song that probably shows your age if you recognize it. According to Wikipedia, "the lyrics are about a couple who love each other despite being different in just about every way possible." And...that pretty much summarizes the meme, too! (Though, it doesn't have to be love. Hate can be an option.)
HOW TO PLAY
- Comment with your character. In the subject, put info & preferences.
- In the comment, describe your character in a few key words. This is so that people who don't know your canon can see if your character would be a good opposite to theirs.
EX: Outspoken, strong-willed, funloving
- Reply to characters who are opposite (interpret that as you will) to yours.
- Enjoy the shippy antics!

The Animal Companion Meme
In this meme, all of the characters have aquired a Animal Companion (or more then one of them, if that's what the muns want).
The Animal Companions can be normal pets, Pokemon, magical mascots, or anything else the mun can think of. They can also have known them for a while, or have just met, etc.

1. They're all going on a amusement park date! Boy, this is going to be one noisy date...
2. Going out with friends and family!
3. They're all on a stereotypical fantasy RPG type adventure - Yes, they're going to save the beautiful princess from the Dark Lord, and they're going to do it with style!

1. You're trapped in a McDonald's. It's only a matter of time until the McNuggets run out or the McFlurry machine breaks …
2. You're trapped in an elevator and it's like that M. Night Shamawhatever movie so the devil is haunting you in it and you're probably going to die.
3. You're trapped in one of those giant meat freezers and slowly freezing to death with the other person in the thread. Will you huddle together for warmth like Seth Green in that one move?

5. mpreg. See above. Aliens? Genetic mutations? That breeding stable meme redux? It happened, and now you've got to get your shit together.

Bathhouses were places where people could go for totally anonymous, take-all-comers sex. Baths, swimming pools, saunas, and (very) small private rooms were available for a key fee and membership.
