 The Bathing Meme
 

 

Scrub-a-dub-dub, this meme is ridiculous. No, really. This is a meme about taking a bath. Silly.


- Post your character with name, series, and preferences as the subject header.
- Reply to other characters, using the RNG (1-7) to choose a bath type from the list below.
- Characters bathe. Or other things involving a bath. Whatever, dudes. Anything goes!
- Sexy times and/or triggery material may pop up in threads. Please be conscientious toward your fellow roleplaying buddies!

 

1. Bubble Bath: Here, the characters are sharing a humongous bubble bath with all the froth they can handle. The scent is delicious, the water is warm—go on, enjoy yourselves!
2. Shower: Perhaps not as fun as a bubble bath, but hey, at least it's built to accommodate two. Don’t slip!
3. Hot Tub: A whirlpool of warmth and—mm. Don't mind me. I'll just be sinking in.
4. Hot Springs: An outdoors bath is good, too, right? Or maybe this is part of a hotel. Either way, it sure is steamy.
5. Decadent Bath: There could be bubbles here, or maybe just those wonderful smelling oils and salts. Awwww, yeah. This bath probably cost a small fortune, so you should enjoy it while it lasts.
6. Lake: In case the hot springs weren't rugged enough for you, here's an actual lake, complete with waterfall for all your rinsing pleasures.
7. Other: Bathe in a shoebox for all I care.

HOW TO PLAY:
in case the diagram is not enough

1. Everyone is at a big party. I don't know how we fit this many people into one room either, but bear with me!
2. Post an IC or anon comment with a subject that finishes the sentence "never have I ever".
3. If you see something your character has done, reply with them taking a shot! If they've done it many times, have them take many shots or down an entire bottle. Shots do not need to be alcohol, especially not for underage characters.
4. All characters must be honest. It's more fun that way.
5. Bother other people. Demand details. Don't wreck the house, please, and post warnings if things get 18+.

How It Works
Sometimes, memes can be awkward. There's always that feeling that, if you don't know the person behind the curtain, you'll be intruding somehow. Don't worry. We've all been there. Still, it's nice to have that little reassurance that hey, it's cool. We're all in this together and we just want to play.

That's where this meme comes in! The point here is to play with someone you've never played with before, OR play with a character/canon you're unfamiliar with. The prompts provided include mundane activities, chance meetings, platonic fluff, romance/smut, fighting, and crack. This is pretty much the granddaddy of meme variety, so there should be something for just about everyone.

So, you were feeling a little lonely lately and decided to check out a dating site. You heard a lot about them, sure mostly horror stories, but your nextdoor neighbor's best friend's cousin's aunty twice removed had success that one time. You never know, right? So, you log on to musematch.com, fill out your likes, dislikes and a small paragraph about yourself, and then it's sitting back and waiting.

Now you have have waited, you have had a few responses and this person seemed like they could be your Knight/Knightette in Shining Armour. You both liked 7Up and long walks on the beach at sunset, so it's clearly a potential match made in heaven! Now comes the date... will there be chemistry, or will it be an absolute disaster? You don't know the person from a bar of soap, and sure, Granny keeps reminding you they could be an axe murderer, but what has your little lonely heart got to lose? At the end of the day, you still might get a free meal, if nothing else.

RULES:

♥ Leave a comment with your character's name, fandom, and any preferences you have in the subject line.
♥ In the comment box, write your character's brief likes and dislikes, and a small paragraph about them they might post on a dating site. Add a picture too if you like, but that's optional.

Attraction is a strange beast. It's hard to pinpoint just why you may want to shag that particular person...or, even worse, why you're in love with them! And can't that be bad enough when the two of you are, but what about when you're completely different? Or maybe you're not even on the side! You're a superhero (or at least on the side of good), he or she's a super villain... How would your relationship pan out if things were like that?

Okay, it may not be as dramatic as that. You two could just be the "good" guy/girl in school, the goody two shoes, who's fallen in love with the "bad" boy/girl, leather jacket and all. Whatever the case may be, things won't be easy.

How To Play
- Comment with your character, putting the standard information somewhere in it. You also may want to specify your preferences or where your character would fall for each set of prompts. Some characters may be different things for each: ie, someone like Dean Winchester would probably be a traditional "bad boy" in the first sit, but a hero in the second.
- Tag others! Feel free to use the RNG. Roll twice. First number chooses the prompt set, second the prompt number.
- Have fun and be respectful to others.

1) Every Good Girl Loves a Bad Boy
1. Summer Lovin', Happened So Fast: One of you is straight laced, while the other walks on the wild side (interpret that as loosely as you'd like). Somehow, though, you've come together.
2. Daddy Don't Approve: Your friends or family don't like your partner.
3. Be My Lover but Don't Be My Friend: You're just in it for the sex.
4. Uptown Girl: There's more than just "good" and "bad" at play, here; there's also class differences.
5. Ashamed to Be Seen: You care about this person, but you're rep's more important.

6. Purification: Through the power of love, the bad guy has been won over and changed affiliations!
7. Corruption: Through the power of lust and manipulation, the good guy has fallen in order to be with the other person.
8. The BatCat Scenario: You've both decided to stay on your own sides, but whenever you meet, there's enough UST to power a small city.
9. Bad End: One or both of you have been killed or hurt by your affair.
