I liked the Dating Sim meme. Copy/pasta it may have been, SOMEONE put a lot of thought into that.

Also, live action chars suck. I mean, half offensive half genuine opinion. It kinda ruins the fun for me.

I can't stand Anime characters. The vast majority of them are poorly played and feel like the mun is a repressed teenager looking for wank material in a smutty DR. The good ones suffer because of it.

Also, I think OCs get a bad rap (regardless of the PB). People that take the time to make an OC that clearly isn't a puppet/mouthpiece are few and far between, but still get treated like shit just for being an OC - people need to be a little more open minded before judging.

I think people are starting to break away from OCs are bad. I've never run into people who out right treat my characters poorly and I play lots of OCs.

Of course I try very hard to be good with them. Maybe my experience is different than other people. I just rarely run into problems. But I agree with you other anon, people should try playing with OCs more.

You could always PM them. A lot of players are hesitant about OOC communication. If you're okay with it, maybe you should be the one striking up the conversation and not waiting for the other person to miraculously read your mind?

I really do dislike Kingdom Hearts 3D. I just think it's so stupid and a complete was of time.

Also, I wish we could have more action or interesting memes on here. Same old shipping or smut memes all the damn time. It gets annoying.

I fucking detest LA characters on the whole. I've very rarely seen them played well and the muns tend to be as obnoxious as the characters they play. Most of the time they play them entirely OOC and with no real depth, or repeating the same tired scenes cut directly from the media they were taken from turning them into little more than a running joke, as though their characters had no more personality than a catchphrase or scene they're famous for.

I'd rather not have to play with them at all tbh.

I find this comm's lack of tagging around disturbing. This is not a community, it's just window shopping.

People who look down on LA or Anime medium players are stupid, imo. I play from both anime and LA. So do plenty of other people. It's not one or another, assholes.

Despite this comm slowing down and general slow descent into character dumping and MCU/teen wolf/whatever the fuck is popular at the moment, I have actually begun to have more fun in RP than I have ever had due to back tagging old threads like crazy.

Say what you want about bakerstreet, but I've found some awesome RP partners through tagging out.

It's harder to do more serious themes with people out of the blue, it's easier with previous CR. It's just difficult expecting a deep thread in a place that caters to casual playing.

As someone that tags out, I think I have a right to bitch. I don't character dump. I put in characters that are actually suitable for whatever meme I'm tagging into. And I go through them more than once to see what new tags have been added to see what I can hit. I LIKE tagging out. I just wish other people wouldn't treat the memes like their little storage box for characters.

I've said this before and I'm saying it again; Don't put OTA in your goddamn subject header if that's not what you want. Am I buttmad? Yeah. Because I dislike putting a lot of thought into a scenario setting tag, making sure it's not just a one-two line setup, and it gets ignored. Why? Because I'm not from the canon they're posting from.

Inb4: maybe your writing sucks. Maybe it does, but when they're not tagging other crosscanon tags either, but I see them tagging OUT to other cast members, I go back and give their OTA the finger.

If you're going to put your character in a meme and open yourself up to tags, try tagging back the ones you get. And try putting in more effort than one tag. That feels like a, "Fuck, here, have a fucking tag. Get off my back." If you don't have the capacity or time to tag back to what you get, how about you stop tossing your characters in every goddamn meme ever. Or put what you actually WANT in your subject header. Either way, this snobbery 'I'm too good to tag you' bullshit has to go.

not sure if unpopular but i'm really bothered by the fact that characters eat a lot but rarely ever seem to poop!

i know lots of people go for realism, and you don't get realer than bathroom emergencies.

but also having to think about WOW WHERE WILL MY CHARACTER POOP IN THIS TORTURE CHAMBER/CELL/ROOM/ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE is also gross so i'm glad i can just never bring it up and it won't even cross anyone's mind

I hate that most memes work best if you're a castmate/have prior CR. It's not really conducive to tagging out.

i can tolerate blank comments but please for the love of god, in smut/shipping memes, give us some idea what your character's gender preference is at least. i know 9 out of 10 people are looking for a cock to hop on, but seeing generic live action icon #398479384 with a name and canon and nothing else to go on doesn't encourage tagging from anyone.
