I don't think there's anything wrong with covers. Some I like more than the originals.

I prefer Emily Browning's version of "Sweet Dreams." Pearl Jam's version of "I Won't Back Down." A New Found Glory's "Never Ending Story." Does "Layla" count when both were by Clapton and I just like the acoustic more? There might be more but those are some that immediately come to mind. And, of course, some of yours. What about you?

I think any acoustic cover counts, especially with Clapton. Personally, I maintain Joan Baez and Odetta sang Dylan's songs better than he ever did, and nearly everyone does better with the Beatles. In particular, the Staves have a very effecting version of "I'm On Fire."

[OOC: Random aside that might be amusing. The author of the Six of Crows books said that Kaz's karaoke song would be Abba's "Dancing Queen" even though he's the least likely character to karaoke along with the Darkling, LOL. The Darkling's song, of course, was "I Will Survive" if memory serves.]

I do like what I've heard by Joan Baez. I don't think I know that version of "I'm on Fire," though. I'll have to look it up.

I do like acoustics looking at the list, I guess. I'll see about looking up more of his. I also sometimes put on classical or instrumental music for background noise.

As a treat, I'm not going to dive into you thinking incentivizing would include a negative rather than something tempting.

I don't know the name, but there are a lot who do instrumental covers. I usually just do searches for instrumental music and see what comes up, but if you do find out the name I'm open to recommendations.

I sneaked into an opera house once. Didn't get to stop and enjoy much of the show, but from what I saw they do go all out for theatrics.

They really do, and Delfina was at the top of her theatrical game when she was Embraced. I think she still buys the big costumes, even if she doesn't perform in them.
