A QUESTION FOR A QUESTION

YOU MAY KNOW EACH OTHER ALREADY - OR YOU MAY NOT. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, YOU'RE NOW PASSING THE TIME ASKING EACH OTHER QUESTIONS. IT'S A GAME! A QUESTION FOR A QUESTION. YOU START OFF ASKING YOUR OPPONENT A QUESTION OF CHOICE AND IF THEY ANSWER IT, THEY'RE ALLOWED TO ASK YOU A QUESTION IN TURN. THE RULES ARE SIMPLE, ONLY AS LONG AS YOU ANSWER THE OTHER PERSON'S QUESTIONS ARE YOU ALLOWED TO ASK QUESTIONS YOURSELF, BUT THERE IS NO EXPECTATION OF TRUTHFULNESS HERE, LIE IF YOU MUST OR WANT, JUST KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING.

How to play -
1. Comment with your character's name, fandom and preference.
2. If you want, leave a question in the comment field that your character is asking their opponent. Or don't. I'm not the cops.
3. Pick other characters to question and have fun!

Both, I suppose, but I was thinking opposed. Mostly because I don't like surprises. I know they happen, it's why having contingencies help. But I don't like them. It needn't be in excruciating detail, though. Like when you said a food item would be in my drawer, completely fine. More large scale 'surprise party' levels, I'd rather not.

... I can feel the look. Okay. I deflected. If the choice is death or asking for help, I'll ask for help. I promise. I like living. I can't give my enemies the satisfaction of dying. And I'm never bored when you're around.

Well, I'll make sure to not pull any surprises on you like that, and give you warning for the smaller ones when I can.

Good, because I like you living, too. I'm glad I get to be one of the ones out here keeping you occupied.

And I'll leave any parties or such in your honor to Jesper and Nina, for the planning portion.

I knew you weren't one to endure boredom, either.

Parties? When do I get parties?

I'm terrible with it, though I usually alleviate it in much different ways than you do.

My mind naturally goes to birthday parties, but not everyone celebrates theirs.

How do you enjoy alleviating it? Learning new music?

Mine's in February, if you're inclined. Otherwise, I'm open to any excuse.

That one was far too obvious for you to pose it as question, Kaz. Really, I expect a lot more from you.

I'm inclined if you enjoy parties, which it sounds like you do. If you like big bashes I might not stay long, but they can be arranged come February. Also, it's not Birdie-specific, but there is an end of summer festival Ketterdam has that's coming up soon, too.

You know what, you're right. I like the high expectations. I should have phrased it as, what aside from music gets you to that spot.

I do, in fact, but they don't have to be big. And the end of summer is one of my favorite kinds, because that means the nights are getting longer again and I won't have to miss so much.

Glad to see I'm keeping you on your toes. But I like reading some, but mostly I prefer going out and doing things. People, conversation. Seeing new places and perspectives. Which usually circles back to me making music about it.

I usually like the summer festival because it means most of the city is preoccupied with its pleasure.

Indeed. I'd hate to get lazy even when the night runs late. Or morning early. An endless circle, though not a pointless one, it sounds like. On your hobbies.

[personal profile] acaseofyou 2023-09-03 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you're welcome to steal from me. Just leave the guitar and the umbrellas.

There's a difference, though, between lazy and relaxation, I think. Sometimes you need the latter to keep going. Wouldn't push it on you, though. You'd probably just work twice as hard at the mere suggestion.

[personal profile] noreasonneeded 2023-09-03 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll keep that in mind, though my friends aren't usually my target. Mostly because I know you all. I think I'd rather have plausible deniability on what you're collecting in your sock drawers.

Relaxation is exhausting and stressful. I won't die on that hill, but I plan on living long enough to keep saying it.

It's socks, Kaz. Lots of socks.

Duly noted. No relaxation for you, only more work with the occasional nap thrown in between.

[personal profile] noreasonneeded 2023-09-03 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Hopefully not the toe socks. Those are disturbing even if not stumbled across.

Cats had the right idea about naps, though they take them to an excess.

No, never. Toes aren't meant to have gloves. Though there are a lot of tights in there.

You would have issue with cats about their sleeping habits.

[personal profile] noreasonneeded 2023-09-03 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I’ve never worn any but I don’t have any issue with them on principle.

I still like them more than I like most people?
acaseofyou: (17 ♫)

[personal profile] acaseofyou 2023-09-03 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if you ever want to layer up in winter, you're welcome to borrow from me.

That feels like a low bar.

[personal profile] noreasonneeded 2023-09-03 10:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I will keep that in mind. I’ve worn thermals in the past, which is pretty similar. Usually not in Ketterdam, though. It gets cold here, but this close to the water we don’t get a lot of snow storms.

Let the cats enjoy their victory, Birdie. There'll be plenty more challenges to come.
acaseofyou: (11 ♫)

[personal profile] acaseofyou 2023-09-03 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Trust me, the snow can be completely awful. I remember trudging into it, knee deep, just to get to the end of the drive at home. Your thermals would need thermals.

I'd never deny the cats their celebration. Let them have treats.

[personal profile] noreasonneeded 2023-09-04 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
That does sound miserable. I don't even like walking on cold floors in the morning. In Ketterdam we get snow dustings and freezing rain, but it's rare to get a full snow storm. Going to Fjerda for the first time was a big shock to the senses, even with being bundled up.

I can't imagine you denying most celebrations.
acaseofyou: (60 ♫)

[personal profile] acaseofyou 2023-09-04 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Fjerda seems like dead winter all the time. It'd be wonderful cover for my cold hands, but I might just freeze solid.

You're right, there's only a few I'd put a stop to.

I can certainly see why they're so fond of holding other people's fat to the fryer, as they can't spare any of their own in that weather.
