YOU MAY KNOW EACH OTHER ALREADY - OR YOU MAY NOT. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, YOU'RE NOW PASSING THE TIME ASKING EACH OTHER QUESTIONS. IT'S A GAME! A QUESTION FOR A QUESTION. YOU START OFF ASKING YOUR OPPONENT A QUESTION OF CHOICE AND IF THEY ANSWER IT, THEY'RE ALLOWED TO ASK YOU A QUESTION IN TURN. THE RULES ARE SIMPLE, ONLY AS LONG AS YOU ANSWER THE OTHER PERSON'S QUESTIONS ARE YOU ALLOWED TO ASK QUESTIONS YOURSELF, BUT THERE IS NO EXPECTATION OF TRUTHFULNESS HERE, LIE IF YOU MUST OR WANT, JUST KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING.
How to play -
1. Comment with your character's name, fandom and preference.
2. If you want, leave a question in the comment field that your character is asking their opponent. Or don't. I'm not the cops.
3. Pick other characters to question and have fun!

Maybe when I reach the point of needing to work on two things at once.
no subject
That seems entirely unfair to me and my schemes specifically.
no subject
Your scheme to distract me from working?
no subject
And get you into music. It's a tough job but someone has to do it.
no subject
Do you really want to get me into embarrassing music I can dare you to sing?
no subject
I don't know, it could be more fun than whipped cream. And I've already sung some pretty embarrassing things. Did I ever tell you about how I took $50 to record children's campfire songs? It was awful.
no subject
You did not, so you have two records out there in the world?
no subject
Well, the other one doesn't have my name on it at all. That was how I got my $50 paid to me right away. And I'm on some others as a studio musician, just background harmonies and some guitar work so my name is only on those in very very tiny text.

Not at all surprised most of what's in museums is a fake. I recently helped acquire a sword that was supposedly in one for centuries. I've also dabbled in the black market art trade, so perhaps I've crossed paths with some of your friend's work.
no subject
You probably have. They're an Elder, so they'd been at it a good long while. Lately they only do artifacts and magical objects, though.
no subject
Wouldn't it be easy to tell a magical object is a fake? Or do they still imbue the fake with magic?
no subject
I honestly have no idea. Some magic relics are only magic when you go to use them with specific other magic bits, and not all of us are able to tell that kind of thing at a glance.
no subject
That's fair enough. I honestly don't know how much of that works. Magic isn't something I deal in often.
no subject
Probably for the best, if I'm honest. It's one thing crossing another criminal. When you get up the ranks to people that can curse you if a deal goes bad, you're on a level where you gotta be able to curse 'em back. Or at least know someone that can break a curse.
no subject
Even worse, usually people involved in magical nonsense in my experience are nothing but dramatics and moaning about the world either ending or needing saving. I'll stick with proper sensible criminals who value finance over savior complex bellyaching.
no subject
I can't exactly disagree with you on that point for most magic-inclined people. Gets really grandiose and self-involved sometimes. I much prefer the ones that do forgeries and make special beer and sometimes turn themselves into snakes. At least they have fun with it.
no subject
Yeah, I don’t hold much esteem for people who think too highly of themselves and what they add to the world. The cosmos isn’t something that actually cares, and neither does the populace as soon as it stops serving their purpose. Those making craft drinks are honestly doing far better for the world than leading an army because some book or birth symbol said one should.
no subject
Couldn't agree more. Either it's trying to build an army or it's cloistering away to hide all their secrets while simultaneously demanding respect for their great and terrible powers. Always would argue that there's more practical magic in music than a cauldron or a secret book.

Withholding knowledge is definitely an age old tactic to retain power in a select few hands.
