Ben had never expected to be living a quiet life of moisture farming on Tatooine. But in fairness, not so long ago, he hadn't expected to be living any life. He had died on Exegol. He still can't fully explain how how that unhappened, but here he is, the product of intervention from spirits of former Jedi who somehow hadn't been easy for him to join then, and the bond he shared with Rey. He'd been able to feel where she was as soon as he woke up, and it hadn't taken him long to track her to Tatooine, baffled as he still was that she'd chosen another desert to make a home on, at least for now. It suits them well enough, though. She hadn't told her friends in the Resistance that this was where she was going, and so far they hadn't thought to look here to find her with a supposedly dead war criminal.

As for right now, she's away getting food for them while he pokes at some of the machinery on the farm. Or at least that was the intent. When he spots her on her way back, she seems to have someone with her. A very small someone.

He's practically paralyzed, sitting on the bed while his eyes dart between the tasks of watching Prompto and keeping an eye on this unnamed child. He's never really held anything so fragile before, not one that he actually cared about the outcome of.

But of course Ignis and Gladio would leave something like this up to them. In some ways Noctis isn't mad, because, well. He sure wouldn't know what to get. What do babies eat? How much of it? Why are there so many different brands? He's never even had to look in any baby sections of any stores before.
