We shouldn't...  

the "should never be together" meme.

When two people come together in a relationship, it's a beautiful thing. What can be wrong with love, right? Right? Except when the union is completely and totally wrong, for whatever reason. Then things can get a little messy.

How To Play
1. Comment with your character, listing their name, canon, etc, along with any preferences.
2. Comment around to others, using the RNG to determine the scenario. It doesn't have to be a lovey-dovey relationship, obviously. There can be hate, sorrow, lust, whatever.
3. Thread! Have fun! Do things!

Scenarios
1. Warring Factions: You belong to rival organizations, armies, clubs, etc. Whatever it is, you're not on the same team.

2. Soldiers on the Battlefield: Or maybe you are on the same side, but this is the wrong time and the wrong place. Plus, attachments cause distractions.

3. Bodyguard and the Guarded: Just like the movie with Kevin Costner! One of you has been hired to protect the other for some reason, and feelings are starting to grow. Are you a professional and cut things off, or do you give in?

4. Prince/ss and Knight: Similar to the above, but with a whole 'nother level of wrong...one of you is royal. Courtly love is okay; still, don't forget your place.

5. Enemies: This vendetta is personal, and you totally hate this person! Don't you? Perhaps you're maybe just rivals, or something as serious as superhero and villain.

6. Family: The ultimate taboo. This person is related to you, so there's no way you should indulge this desire, even if it's the most pure love there ever was.

7. Age Difference: The years between you should keep you both at bay, but it's easier said than done.

10. Teacher/Student: Teachers and students have a unique bond, and to corrupt it is a dangerous thing. Will you dare to act on emotions that could put you both in a destructive place?

11. Already Spoken For: One or both of you are already involved with someone else, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Just know that you can't have your cake and eat it, too.

12. Not Compatible: Your personalities or jobs make it so it's hard for you to be together.

13. Not Compatible...in Another Way: You're both different species, which means you're either afraid to take your relationship to a physical level or you can't because of differences in biologies.

14. Not Ready for Love: You took a vow (or celbacy, of chastity, of dedication), you're married to your work, or you just don't want to be involved with anyone. Too bad!

15. Rich and Poor: One of you has the money while the other is from more modest means. Can the 1% and the 99% ever be bedfellows, literally?

16. Hurt Before: Your heart has been broken, and maybe there's been no time to heal. But here you are.

HOW TO PLAY

○Post with your character. Don't put their name and canon in the header. Instead put something that they don't know how to do and would like to learn, or something they might want help or practice with.

examples: I can't swim • I need to clean this whole house so I can go to a ball and seduce a prince • I'd like to practice throwing pitches with someone

○Look around the meme! If you see someone that you think your character can be of some help to... tag them!

The Wild West Brothel (AU) Smut Meme
The year is 18...something-something. It's before cars, before airplanes, and before, if we're to believe movies and books, law and order were firmly put in order. The horse reigns supreme, though the train is an up-and-coming marvel, and that's where many people make their money- on both sides of "good" and "bad."

Cowboys and bandits run the trails while they guard or steal cattle, and the lawmen can be just as crooked as the big bosses that own everything, from the cows to the mines in the stony hills. This is a hard land, a land for killing and a land for dying on the sandy ground. Everything drips red with blood, with little exception. Of course, there are places to find a little comfort.

Such a place is Tumbleweed Tonya's infamous "cat house" brothel, the last stop before the open wilderness of the Broken Bird Trail, one of the most dangerous drives that leads all the way to Old Mexico through deserts and Indian territory. But you don't have to think so much about that at Tonya's. In a little enclave that includes a saloon and a mercantile shop, this little whorehouse is the best west of Texas. There's booze, good food, and, to be expected, good company. Tonya, a hardworn madame from back east who's surprisingly well-read, prides herself in keeping a menagerie fit for every taste, and she means every taste: there are young women, old women, Celestial maidens from the Far East, Indian maids, even men for those who enjoy a bit of masculine company. After all, she's not one to judge. Some even say that some of the workers may not be exactly...human.

You've found yourself here. Maybe you're a worker here, trying to earn a few dollars with your body. You could be an honest cowboy, or a bandit hero, or the law itself. Why you're here can be just as varied. This may be your last ride and you're looking to share the last moments with someone. Perhaps you're a regular who just likes a good screw every now an then, an ordinary citizen who just got sucked up in all this, or someone involved in the blossoming crime world who does their business in a good ol' fashioned brothel. Worst of all, though, you could be someone who's in love with one of the workers and is trying to save him/her. That can only end in tragedy.

Whatever the case may be, there are plenty of tokens to go around for those who have the money. Let your horse take a break, take a load off your feet, and enjoy some fun for a spell.

As someone who likes historical AU, I thought this may be a fun setting to play around with. Feel free to do as you like and do completely historical shenanigans, or play it fast and loose with something as varied as steampunk or sci-fi westerns. Of course, AU isn't completely necessary.

THE BODY HEAT MEME



Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.

Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.

A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!

So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!

Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.
