Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.

Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.

A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!

So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!

Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

The jump ship was hit in the escape, and while they've managed to navigate themselves in the direction of safety, the crippled temperature regulator was threatening to see them landing as two solid blocks of ice.

She buries her face in the sleeve of his coat a moment, squirming to try and keep the blood flowing.

"If I die of hypothermia next to a man who calls himself Heatwave, I'll never forgive you."

[When a mission goes tits up, it really goes tits up, he reckons. Talon knobs swarming the place like they owned it, the group scattered like buttons by the fighting, his own best mate with them, and then the skies open up and decide to flip off the weatherman. Heavy rain and nothing between him and it but his harness and stubbies.

What else to do but grab the nearest friendly hand and use the gorilla's fallback? Create a (explosive) diversion, beeline for the closest safehouse, and lie low. Third bit isn't a speciality of his, truth be told, but adaptation is a must.

Sadly, it seems Overwatch doesn't have the best upkeep in these parts, if the leaky little shack in which he now stands, with it's musty floorboards and broke-down couch, are any testament.

Soaked through and shivering, grasp still locked on his teammate's hand, he marvels at the place and lets out a jittery laugh.]

[ Regulus has been quiet, lately. Things haven't been great. Perhaps not terrible, but not great either. So he's been quiet and insular and tired but getting stronger, trying to be friendly. Warm. Personable.

Funnily enough, he's not feeling warm any more. It had felt like a triumph when they figured out the problem. When they realized how to fix it. He'd still gotten cold when they were on missions or simply too far apart, but it was still better. Still bearable.

Love really is the strongest magic of all.

Now, though... He's started to feel cold even when they're in the same house, even when they're close together. He knows things have been a little awkward, a little strained, but--he hadn't thought it was this bad. Hadn't thought he would start feeling the bone-deep chill that he'd been free of for months now.

(Once he's alone in the kitchen and his body starts trembling from the cold. He's glad it's late, because it makes him let out a low and choked sob.)

But he presses on. He believes things will get better because they have to. He doesn't want to tell Remus for multiple reasons: what if he's wrong? What if it guilts him into something like love but full of resentment? He doesn't want that.

So he's gotten more physically distant, which he knows isn't helping the problem but it means Remus can't touch his skin and feel the chill. He wears his usual clothing instead of bundling up to hide it even though it just makes it feel worse. The only times he allows himself to falter is when he's alone, curled up tight in a pile of blankets. Tonight he's shaking, curled up on the couch while everyone else is asleep. He has a few blankets on, but they're not really helping.

He doesn't want to think of Remus asleep in the other room, maybe not loving him. ]

[They were in a cave. In Hell. A cave that had apparently decided to become its own little iced-over deathtrap. Maybe there was some part of John that disliked the cold. Lucifer never minded it, but that could be that he didn't feel it as sharply as humans -- or ex-human demons.

His hands were in his pockets as he leaned against an outcrop of the cave, watching John try to get 'them' out of there.]

This is what happens when you dabble in Hell, Johnny boy. You might have been not too shabby upstairs, but even without this being my Hell, I could have told you it's existed long enough to have its own quirks.
