In Everything But Name

You've shared glances, felt the connection, figured out your feelings for each other. Both of you know that you want to be close - as close as you can be. And there's the catch, because there always is one, isn't there? As close as you can be.

Because while you might consider yourselves together, that can be in everything but name. You still have to face the harsh realities you live in that may not look so kindly on your love. So you play what role you have to, regardless of what you know in your heart. Deep-vested knowledge, security, and subtle gestures will have to do for now.

But one day, will that not be enough?

The FAMILY Meme
How does it work? Simple! Choose a relationship (or roll for one, if it suits your fancy), and then RNG for a situation! That, or just go straight for whatever situation appeals to you. These are all fairly vague: just something to start you off!

THE ASSUMED CR SMUT MEME
(or the everyone knows everyone meme)
a meme for playing out relationships in medias res

As appealing as some of the in-hotel options are, plug and play random fucking of strangers can get a bit played out, especially for those who feel their characters are restricted by that concept. Of course, there's always developing a relationship between characters, yet given the come-and-go of the playerbase here, it's often impossible to find someone willing to put in that kind of effort. Anon plotting can help; that's still touchy, though. But even with all that, sometimes you just want to enjoy the relationship between characters. In fact, given the kink and the characters involved, that may just help make the scene richer. Still, assuming CR/relationships can be a big no-no in rp. What to do?

This meme takes away that worry, because this is a place to play out all the scenes that require something to exist between the characters before the bumping uglies happens. All that is taken care of for you. Just tag in and enjoy!

Here are some prompts you can use, though they are by no means binding:
1. Close friends/friends with benefits
2. Dating or lovers
3. Married, by choice or by decree
4. Alliance of convenience, or the only person available to you
5. Couple attempting to spice up their sex life by trying out new kinks
6. Allies or teammates
7. Couple attempting to conceive
8. BDSM/slave and master
9. Forbidden lovers who should never be together
10. One-sided, unrequited love
11. First time of any variety
12. Longstanding sexual tension finally resolved
13. Incestious relationship
14. Relationship with an age difference
15. Relationship with a species difference
16. Non-consensual/abusive relationship
17. Desperation sex (ie, the last people alive, the end of the world, etc)
18. Hurt/comfort sex
19. The "been together forever"/comfortable with each other couple
20. WILDCARD or come up with something more to your own tastes.

Most societies have certain mores that are unspoken rules; humanity itself even has such conventions, grilled subconsciously into our minds for our own safety. Don't go out alone at night. Avoid getting wet when it's cold. Don't pick fights with those stronger than you...okay, some of us missed the boat on the last one, but the point still stands. Society's rules tend to be more variable, though they apply to most aspects of life - including sex. In fact, bending the rules on what's considered acceptable in romance and sexual encounters can lead to anything from ostracization to death, depending on the time and culture.

So, play it close to the chest if you're going to do a big, big, big t a b o o. Is it worth the risk?

- Comment with your character and preferences. Be sure to include what you want and what you DON'T WANT. Blank comments are fine; info is even better!

Otherwordly Meme

Sometimes all you need is a word to spark off an idea.

1. Post a comment with your character's name, canon, and any preferences you may have (no shipping, no smut, etc.)

2. Leave the comment blank or post a word or two in the body.

It may also help if you list scenarios you would like to play.

3. Reply to other people, either with words you picked out, or words they posted as prompts for a thread.
