Mostly because I'm surprised we've never had this kind of meme before. We love high school AUs. We love romance. Why not combine those into a glorious mix?
Your teen years are important, formatively speaking. You're trying to find out just where you belong and what kind of person you're going to be. This already daunting task is complicated by the soul-sucking demon known as high school. If you weren't having a hard time before coming here, you certainly are now.
Add into this mixture raging hormones, and baby, you've got a misery stew cooking. But it's not all bad! Sometimes high school crushes can be sweet, and the occasional high school relationship lasts.
So whether you're too cool or distracted for romance or always on to the next good looking stud, come on down and try to navigate the romantic labyrinth that is the halls of Bakerstreet High.
HOW TO PLAY
- Comment with your character and preferences. Needless to say, aging down and AUing is welcomed and probably necessary. Have fun with it! Feel free to include a short blurb about your character's Bakerstreet High self. Are they popular? The class clown? A drifter? A band geek?

A slave/reluctant master romance(?) meme
The seed of the idea has existed for ages, perhaps as long as there has been the concept of enemies among humanity - so, a long time. It goes as follows:
You are in an unfamiliar and dangerous territory, most likely the home of your enemy. Whether there is a war raging in the background or just barely-bandaged hostility is irrelevant. Your safety does not depend on that. Instead, you are an example. Your freedom is forfeit. A prisoner is what you are...no, you're a slave. And you're given to someone for service or for entertainment.
You're prepared to hate your new "master." Who wouldn't? Slowly, however, you realize that things aren't as they seem. Your master is no cruel owner; in fact, they don't even want to own you. But they are as much of a pawn in this scheme as you are. Still, they show you kindness and their subtle rebellion fans the flames of your own. Over time, your feelings towards them begin to change. It may be some sort of Stockholm Syndrome or it may be a true emotion, yet either way, something fragile and perhaps even beautiful is growing between the the two of you. Could this be love? If it is or if it isn't, there's one certainty: if you are found out, it will be the end, most likely, of you both.
This is the situation your character finds themselves in. Are they master? Slave? How do they accept their fate? Their new feelings towards their "master"/"slave"? All of this is up to you, as well as how this all ends for the pair.
Of course, there's a precedent for it ending badly and bloody, for obvious reasons.

- Comment with your character, preferences, and other information like any character info, what position your character is likely to fill, or smut/lack thereof preferences.
- Reply to others.
- Feel free to use the below prompts and ideas.

ATTITUDE
- Willing: You'll take the past of least resistance and try to keep your head down.
- Unwilling: Well, "unwilling" is sort of implied in general, but you are especially rebellious and refuse to be tamed. You throw any kindness you receive back in the giver's face. When you begin to feel something for your "master," you reject that as much as you possibly can.
ENDING
- Good: The idealized, happy ending. You both get away from the system that keeps you chained and live freely together.
- Bad: The realistic ending. Your little affair is unearthed and your heads end up on the chopping block.

Even if they're not permanent or irremovable, imperfections are often as much a part of us as our blood and bones, pumping through our bodies. They leave a mark and can often shape the way we perceive ourselves. Look in the mirror, what do you see? Idealized dreams, what's not absolutely perfect or appealing about you, or somewhere in between - the closest to the "real you" that you can perceive? Sometimes, it's hard to love that person, that flawed being you see looking back at you. While in the end it's imperative for you to love you, the first step towards that can be a partner or a lover doing it for you. Intimacy is able to serve as that adoration made physical; it may also be an important facet to becoming more comfortable in one's skin, especially if intimacy has been a problem before. This is keeping in mind that the path to self-acceptance can be difficult and slow. This meme is to explore such intimacy between two characters. No "flaw," used loosely for obvious reasons, is off limits here, be it big or small. Size, shape, less-than-beautiful appearance, unique features like wings or horns, scars and prior injuries, imperfections, mental hurdles, past experiences, personality traits, trust issues, and anything else that runs the gamut are all welcome. Even if it's not that much of a bother to the character or it's something they've learned to cope with better than others have, players are welcome to explore the psychological and physical implications. Of course, characters to love their partners in spite of - or because of - their flaws are needed, as well. Whether a fluffy or angsty direction is taken is completely up to the threaders. There's nothing quite like a good historical setting to take a tale of sordid romance to the next level. Perhaps it's the setting that seems so separate from our own time, thus making the whole thing feel more exotic or epic. Besides, the codes of attitude! The costumes! The traditions! The disease and early death!
Uhhh, did I mention the costumes?
