The Bittersweet Love Meme


Happy endings are what we crave, right? If we see a couple we like in movies or in real life, we root for them to make it. Why, then, is there such a desire to see love that's tragic, doomed, or bittersweet? People watch sad movies like Titanic, and they know what will happen, but somehow that makes it more poignant. This goes all the way back to tales like Romeo and Juliet. There's just something about a good cry that makes us feel that much more human and even more receptive of beauty.

This meme is equal parts tragedy and beauty, sweet and bitter. Some prompts may be triggering, so tread with caution.

How to Play
- Comment with your character, preferences, etc.

Remember all those people you used to be in a game with? It's time to meet them again and reminisce about the good old days, or go at each other's throats if that's what you used to do. Whichever.

1. Look for your old game's thread. If your old game has no thread, you get to make one.
2. Post as the mun.
3. Other muns from that game get to reply.
4. You may post even if you're still in the game currently. Talking with muns who you weren't in the same game with is fine, too, if you want to get in touch with them again.

Oh dear! It seems when in the Internet Rental Store you were in such a rush you grabbed the wrong website (or at least, that's your story and you're sticking to it). This isn't Baker Stree! It's some sort of porno parody of your beloved favourite meme community!

Well, you're not getting your money back now, so you might as well try it out anyway...

How it works:

You are no longer playing your character from their own canon. Instead, you are playing them from a porno parody version of their original storyline. If you've not seen one, you've certainly heard of them; the basics of the characters and the 'plot' are the same, but suddenly, it's all about sex. This makes perfect logical sense to them. After all, things have always been that way.

e.g. A pokémon trainer no longer challenges anyone they make eye contact with to a pokémon battle, they instead challenge them to an orgasm battle. The healers from RPGS use blowjobs to restore HP, whilst the fighters fuck the 'monsters' that are actually highly attractive people into submission. Instead of just enslaving the galaxy, The Empire is sex enslaving the galaxy and the only way to stop Darth Vader is to fuck him until his heart is pure again. Katara has recently learnt semen bending to help in her fight against the BDSM Nation. Etc.

1) Post your character (or their legally distinct counterpart), the name of their porno and any preferences you have, with a brief explanation of their new 'canon.' The sort of thing you would see as a blurb on the back of a DVD. You can add an additional prompt(s) if you desire, or leave it to those tagging you to set the scene.

2) Tag around... and beat a rod til a tank empties.

Notes:

Don't feel constrained to a castmate's parody idea; just because they've decided to go for HomeFuck doesn't mean you can't go with BoneStuck.

If your character is already from porn, you can either have them suddenly NOT be from porn, have them fit right in with the crowd or make them double porn by making what ISN'T porn about their canon porn too.

Keep in mind your characters have not become porn stars they have become characters as portrayed by porn stars.

Add terrible porn dialogue to taste.

Sometimes, it's not a particular kink you're looking for, but a particular character who can scratch an itch. Whether you have castmate you want to offer up to play an OTP with, or it's a crossover you think would make great chemistry, this is the place to put your hopes and dreams out there and hope someone sees how much you want to play with their character.
