"Each of your Eggbabies has a built in computer which registers the amount of care-- or lack of care-- it's given. These readings will determine your grade. As you can see the babies exhibit a wide range of emotions and expressions in need. It's your job to fill those needs."
How to:
✦ Leave a comment with your character's name and fandom. Others will reply
✦ Congratulations, the two of you are now in charge of an Eggbaby. RECOVERjoy has made it a mandatory mission to take care of the baby for one million joypoints (Note: this has no in game effect it's on the meme comm). It is your job to take care of and keep the baby happy. If you drop the baby, you fail. You can not turn it off.
✦ You can RNG a number between 1 and 8 to find out what kind of situation you're in.
✦ Good luck!

Options:
1. Other plans. You had other plans but now you aren't sure if you can do them because of this baby. Try to convince your partner to do you a favor or else you'll have to drag the baby along with you.
2. Broke baby. Something is seriously wrong with this baby. It won't stop crying no matter what you do and you really wish this thing had an off switch.
3. Lost baby. What do you mean where's the baby? Don't you have it? Wait, you mean, you don't? FU-- WHERE'S THE BABY?!
4. Perfect baby. Your baby never cries. In fact, it doesn't really do much of anything. Wow, this project sure is easy! . . . Dude, it keeps staring at me.
5. Not my baby. This isn't your baby but you're watching it for a friend until they get back from that super important meeting. They've been gone all day and you hope they'll get back soon.
6. Twins. You're taking care of your baby and someone else's baby. (bonus option: you're taking care of another baby and another and another and another. . .)
7. MY BABYYYY! What the hell did you do? Your baby is broken. You've failed your mission. Maybe you can put it together and no one will ever notice or try to steal someone else's baby.
8. Crack baby. Roll again, combine prompts, or make up your own scenario.

The Darkest Timeline.

Pick a point in your character's timeline.  What choice did they make? What choice did others make that would have changed their world?  Decide that choice, change it and go from there.  Tag others to join in on the fun.  The darker the new timeline, the better!

3. The two of you are now on a date! The first list is where you took your date. The second list is your current relationship.

Random Mass Shipping Meme

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love. There's nothing you can do that can't be done. Nothing you can sing that can't be sung. Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game. It's easy. There's nothing you can make that can't be made. No one you can save that can't be saved. Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time. It's easy. All you need is love, all you need is love, all you need is love, love, love is all you need. Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love. All you need is love, all you need is love, all you need is love, love, love is all you need.

Shipping and smut memes are all well and good, but sometimes, people can feel a bit left out or hesitant to tag people on them. There's usually a lot of assumptions that have to be made, and we're afraid that what the person we're tagging really wants is a castmate or someone they already thread/ship with. And that's daunting.

In this meme, throw all that out the window. What we have here is nothing but RANDOM MASS SHIPPING as far as the eye can see. Like this character? Tag them. Have no clue who they are but want someone to play with? Tag. Think they have a pretty icon? TAG THAT RIGHT NOW. The pairings don't even have to make sense; heck, the more out of context, the better. You might just find that hey, this actually makes perfect sense! And that's the beauty.

HOW TO PLAY
  • Comment with your characters, using the subject for the usual name, canon info, and so on.
  • Comment to others. Whoever you want to, whoever catches your fancy. You don't need a reason. Don't feel shy. That's the point!
    • Also, this meme isn't for tagging canonmates/CR as per usual (of course, no one will hunt you down, either). Go out on a limb and have some fun!
  • Don't neglect to respond to those who come before you. This meme is meant for randomness, so having a bunch of nobody responding to anyone isn't good.
  • Use the RNG to find a prompt, or make one up.

THE MUTANTS AMONG US MEME

Evolution strives. For thousands of years, humans, homo sapien sapiens have been the King of Beasts on Earth. However, shortly after the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, the public became aware of a new kind of species: homo sapien dominus - the Mutants.

Mutants are born the same as any other human, usually with no discernable differences. However, come the age of puberty, their genetic mutation becomes pronounced. This grants them one or several abilities, some more extreme than others. It may alter their form. Unfortunately, these powers rarely present themselves in a form that can be controlled without careful honing.

Governments everywhere quarreled over the issue of mutant rights. Were they still considered humans? Should there be a demand that they be registered? One thing was certain: mutants held within them the potential to be very dangerous. Whether or not they would excise their powers responsibly, there was still the possibility of them challenging the system upon which humanity had so carefully (and sometimes shakily) regulated.

While politics rage, mutants themselves seek a way to survive within society.

Mutation: it is the key to our evolution. It has enabled us to evolve from a single-celled organism into the dominant species on the planet. )

The Mentorship Meme

I was going to have a picture here but they were all kind of...generic. You know, the older, presumably wiser figure with the naive young student.

According to wikipedia, a mentorship is...

Mentorship is a personal developmental relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps to guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person. However, true mentoring is more than just answering occasional questions or providing ad hoc help. It is about an ongoing relationship of learning, dialog, and challenge.

The person in receipt of mentorship may be referred to as a protégé (male), a protégée (female), an apprentice or, in recent years, a mentee.

And knowledge is power.

  • Make a comment. Your character is now a mentor. Have fun.

  • In your top level comment post a few things your character would be...theoretically...or not...qualified to mentor in. Let's say...three? Three's a good number. Your mileage may vary so if you want to just post one? Go for it, bro, the world is your oyster, go seek your pearl.

But here's my thought. You could have one intangible personal quality such as leadership, bravery, hard work, or debauchery. You could have one practical skill your character actually knows, a specialty that they've spent time working on. And you could have one completely random ass thing that they don't really know that much about but somehow ended up mentoring in because the original mentor got drunk or something.

  • Mentees! Find a mentor! Queue up and request valuable life lessons...maybe? Ask for one, for two, or maybe all three. Start at whatever stage of this mentorship you want. If you have a setting in mind, go for that setting. If you don't, you're meeting in the closest equivalent to Starbucks you have in whatever world your characters come from.

  • And live long and prosper.

"One choice can define you."

Giant Book Cover Image goes Here. )

In the distant future, the city of Chicago has divided society into five separate factions, each one meant to uphold a particular virtue of humanity: Abnegation (the selfless), Amity (the peaceful), Candor (the honest), Dauntless (the brave) and Erudite (the intelligent). On a given day each year, all sixteen-year-olds must take an aptitude test that tells them which faction they truly belong to. After taking the test, they can decide whether or not to transfer from their faction to a different one for the rest of their lives.

-From Wikipedia.

Your character was born in Dystopian Chicago and born into a faction. At the age of 16 they chose a faction - either the same faction they were born into or another faction more suited to their aptitudes. You passed initiation (congratulations!) and are now interacting with former friends and family members, people who you might have met before you officially became a member of your chosen faction. Alternatively you have been brainwashed into these organizations and now embody their philosophy.

1. Roll for your faction. Factions are basically cult-like organizations, they raise their children and their sixteen year olds to follow their faction philosophy. Some of them offer unique skill sets for their initiates. They promote a certain code of dress and styling. Chose your faction you chose your path in life.
2. Meet other faction members, comment on people, throw your way of life around, or generally comment around.
3. Profit.

Roll for your faction. )
