TEST DRIVE MEME  

Our story begins in a far-off land called The Country Within the Palace. Here is a land of deserts and magics. This is an arid land, where the sun is hot in the sky and the moon is white over wind-swept sands.

You, o brave Heroes and Heroines, have been brought here to help the great rulers, the Maharajah and the Maharani, in their time of need. Find and take pleasure for their cause, and you will be justly rewarded.

You will arrive within an opulently decorated room - one of the many within the Country's Pleasure Dome. The walls are filled with silks and tapestries, gleaming wooden floors laid with soft Persian carpets. The maze of hallways lead to never-ending delights, from banquet tables filled with every exotic dish imaginable, to bubbling hot pools, cold springs, fragrant gardens - everything one's heart could dream of.

You will notice that there are no doors; simply curtains and delicate carved screens to shield one from prying eyes. Here, there is no shame - just love and reverence and acceptance.

Around you are other Heroes and Heroines, and in the air is the heavy scent of sandalwood and spice. The soft melody of a sitar serenades the guests of the Dome. There is something sensuous about this place - it is as though it invites you to lay in the many pillows and silks and sunken beds within each little alcove. The shelves are filled with all sorts of amenities to make your stay much more interesting - from massage oils to scarves and feathers to certain erotic implements.

Please, enjoy your stay - and find someone to enjoy yourself with.

Shipping and smut memes are all well and good, but sometimes, people can feel a bit left out or hesitant to tag people on them. There's usually a lot of assumptions that have to be made, and we're afraid that what the person we're tagging really wants is a castmate or someone they already thread/ship with. And that's daunting.

In this meme, throw all that out the window. What we have here is nothing but RANDOM MASS SHIPPING as far as the eye can see. Like this character? Tag them. Have no clue who they are but want someone to play with? Tag. Think they have a pretty icon? TAG THAT RIGHT NOW. The pairings don't even have to make sense; heck, the more out of context, the better. You might just find that hey, this actually makes perfect sense! And that's the beauty.

HOW TO PLAY
  • Comment with your characters, using the subject for the usual name, canon info, and so on.
  • Comment to others. Whoever you want to, whoever catches your fancy. You don't need a reason. Don't feel shy. That's the point!
    • Also, this meme isn't for tagging canonmates/CR as per usual (of course, no one will hunt you down, either). Go out on a limb and have some fun!
  • Don't neglect to respond to those who come before you. This meme is meant for randomness, so having a bunch of nobody responding to anyone isn't good.

THE FOREPLAY MEME



Mid-fucks, quickies, first-times, PWP intercourse. They are fantastic and certainly have their time and place, but what about what goes on before the clothes come off? Foreplay is often overlooked. Couples who continuously skip foreplay are passing up a great thing. And, let's face it: some folks are just more aroused by the idea of foreplay than sex itself. While others aren't raring to get down to it right away.

This meme is for those that prefer the build-up, the tension, wandering hands, heavy breathing—all the good stuff before the act of sex itself. That said, there is no sex in this meme. The point of it is to create the anticipation for it and once things get going, you can fade to black.


How to:

When it boils down to it, the Hotel is really made up of relationships. Sexual, of course, but friendships and perhaps even love as well. Today, the name of the game is the connections between people. The person you end up stuck with today...well, it won't be some random hookup. You'll truly believe you're in some kind of relationship with this person, rather it be adoration, love/hate, indifference, or anything else within the range of human experience. Maybe you know you're in the Hotel; perhaps you think you're in a difference place and time. Whatever the case may be, you and this person are interlocked in an intricate tango.

Per Wikipedia:

In a support group, members provide each other with various types of help, usually nonprofessional and nonmaterial, for a particular shared, usually burdensome, characteristic. The help may take the form of providing and evaluating relevant information, relating personal experiences, listening to and accepting others' experiences, providing sympathetic understanding and establishing social networks. A support group may also work to inform the public or engage in advocacy.


And now you know. And knowing's half the battle.

  • Post with a character.

  • Unlike most memes, you'd probably be better off by providing a general theme for people to respond to. You know, have your subject or post read "People who got turned into animals in their respective games" or "Time travelers and keeping the space/time continuum intact."

  • Respond to other people and support them through their trials and tribulations.

  • NOTE: While you're welcome to post whatever the hell you want, if you delve into triggery whatnot (i.e. abuse, suicide, things which tend to actually evoke real life support groups and therapy) please label your posts with a nice and blatant warning so someone who was looking for Time Travelers Anonymous doesn't accidentally stumble into your suicide thread instead.
