Warning:  Be aware that this meme deals with dark subjects like slavery and may also contain non-consensual/dubiously consensual sex, violence, and kink.

SLAVES

1.  The Newbie - This is your very first auction and you don't quite know what to expect.  Hopefully you remember your training and don't disgrace yourself in front of your new master.  Hopefully someone thinks you're worth buying at all.

2.  The Oldtimer - You've been bought and sold and bought again so many times.  You've seen it all before and don't think this time is going to be much different.  In fact, the only real anxiety you've got is whether or not someone's going to pay for a more than slightly used slave.

3.  The Pet - You're a pleasure slave.  A bed warmer.  A decorative piece of artwork.  You're meant to look pretty and be pleasing and not much else.

4.  The Guard - Your master hired you because of your ability to swing a sword or shoot a gun, not your looks.

5.  The Escape Artist - Somehow you always manage to squirm out of your master's chains.  Too bad you seem to get caught after a while.  Maybe your next daring escape will be permanent.  Then again, maybe your next master has special ways of keeping you locked up.

6.  The Undercover - You aren't a slave at all, you're just pretending to be one.  Why?  Well that's up to you.  Either way, your cover is blown if you don't act the part.

7.  The Specialist - You have a skill that no one else has.  Something rare and valuable.  Something your master needs more than anything else.

MASTERS

1.  The Customer - You've owned slaves before and this trip to the market is nothing new to you.  Still, you're hoping to find something worth your while.

2.  The Gift - Someone bought a pet for you, isn't that nice of them?  Or maybe it isn't so nice.  Did you even want a slave in the first place?  Well you're stuck with one now.

3.  The Giver - You're selecting a slave for someone else, and they need to be perfect.  Perhaps you'd better test them out first to make sure you're getting your money's worth.

4.  The Trainer - You specialize in taming unruly slaves and making them over into perfect, obedient, well-trained pets.

5.  The Rebel - You hate the idea of slavery, but the system isn't going to go away any time soon, so the next best thing is to buy up any slave you can get your hands on and free them, right?

6.  The Companion - You want someone to be with you always, someone you can talk to and depend on, someone who will never leave your side.  It's a good thing that money can buy that these days.

7.  The Undercover - You're not actually a Master.  You're at the auction for an entirely different reason.  Maybe it's special policework, maybe you're trying to hunt down a certain someone.  Either way, your cover is blown unless you act the part.

As always, feel free to use a combination of scenarios or make up your own if you have other ideas.

Thin and sickly Steve had been passed around to more Masters than he could count. He had never complained. He had done his work and worked hard at it; he had known the smallest slip-up meant his life could be forfeit. No one had wanted a ninety-eight pound weakling who had been sick more often than healthy.

SHIELD had been his saving grace.

They'd bought him, asked him questions, they'd been kinder really than any Master he'd had in his life. He hadn't volunteered for the experiment but he could hardly be upset with the result. Not only had they cured his ailments but they'd set him free. Captain Steven Rogers. He has money. He doesn't need to listen to anyone except when they need Captain America and even then, he's on even ground.

It's mentioned, once or twice, by people outside the walls of SHIELD--people who don't know what he'd been--that it's odd he doesn't have a slave. Everyone has at least one. It's the way things are done. It puts Steve in the position of going back to an auction house. This time on the other side of things. He knows how it works; he has a good eye for pricing and which slaves are less desirable to the majority of people. He's been there.

So he waits, watching them parade healthy slaves with not so good ones. Slightly used could mean plenty of things but he moves closer, eyeing each in turn and his gaze pauses on a brown haired man missing an arm. He looks over the rest of the stock too but he comes back to this one and Steve pays almost nothing for him.

After paying, he waits patiently in the pick-up area for them to bring the man out. It's sickening that he'd bought himself a living, breathing person. Someone with thoughts and feelings. Steve hates the markets; the sooner he can go the better.

[Being sold as slaves was nothing new to half-bloods between humans and magical creatures. Claude's parents had keep him a secret for a long time and pleaded to be granted the vial of pure vampire blood so they could let their son live free in the world. Luck had not been on their side however and Claude had been found out and brought away from them.

That was many years now and their faces only a faint memory. During the years in captivity he had been trained to behave well as the slave his was and this day was his first out on the market. To be honest he was nervous. Many stories had been told to him about abusive masters or slaves that had been refunded or the worst stories o them all, to not be bought at all. He really didn't wanted to end up like that. To just stand around and let time pass until he was deemed a lost case and put under. No the sooner someone went to buy him the better.]

He had started to wish someone would come along and buy him. At least they might be easier to escape from, whoever they were. As it was, the slave collar was keeping him powerless, and that was driving him mad with frustration.

So when they brought Nabooru to his cell, he let himself hope for the first time in a while. At least, this might be a new opportunity.]

Whatever kept attracting buyers to him, be it his appearance or the challenge of taming him, or his known skill in being as flexible as he was, he was once again bought and led away in the usual ropes binding his wrists together.

[ Peter slipped into the crowd as he watched the some of the older men tug another boy onto the stage. It was a special event for them, as every event was when they'd met. A funeral or a marriage but this was something even more secret and dear to some of their darker traditions. The slave market. It only happen four times a year, one to mark each of the seasons. And today was the one to mark the spring solstice. It was often considered the best time to invest in a slave, as if the universe it's self was pulling out out the prettiest boys and girls for the wandering people to bid on. His eyes scanned out around the smaller stages, some of the slaves were naked, utterly bare to the eyes judging them like a piece of meat or art. It was'nt exactly the first time Peter had bid on someone, with his wolf urges he tended to find it a little fun to go utterly wild on a bought slave before letting them go or sending them back. Whatever they prefered. He so rarely kept one. Linda would be pissed for one.

He turned his head back the stage as he tiled his head. None had exactly got his engine running. A few of the boys were too slender for his liking and the girls were all rather..samey. So that just left him nothing, really.]
