I know how he gets, so I worried. Just for a moment, though.
Likewise, I know how you can get. There is still a playful man in there no matter how you may try to hide it.
[ There is nothing innocent left about you, her favorite lil playboy!! Although the effects of Zenyatta have all been for the better. She's glad he's found his peace and acceptance with who he now is.
Less glad that Jack went chasing after him up a wall for some reason. Some mysteries in life would never be solved. ]
Who knows, perhaps he is recouping his strength to properly strike at me. I will keep you updated as the situation warrants.
Compared to how I used to be, anything I may have pulled so far is rather small!
[It's not often he talks about his old self, but all things considered, Mercy is one of the three most important people in Genji's life. She was the one who pulled him back from the brink of death. Sharing with her is something he doesn't mind at all.]
Do be kind to one another; he's a gruff man but he has an honor code just like each and every one of us, and he is kind.
[ Deep, deep down. ]
I know you'll do the right thing, but I can understand how he may invite some teasing. All I ask is an attempt to resist.
[ Lord knows she's given him enough grief in their time together; with the faintest mention of Genji's past, however, she goes back to their previous conversation. Was it about boys? Crushes? No, more like, a cryptic attempt at trying to seek advice and solace from one as worldly and previously skilled in befriending others as Genji. She struggles with communicating with this friend she's grown so apart from, who has irreversibly changed.
Genji is and always will be a dear and trusted companion, after all they'd been through together. ]
I just hope he isn't giving you a difficult time. Are you doing all right?
[ In general; not just tonight, specifically, with a leather-tough old man chasing you up walls. ]
[Mercy gets another picture in response; it's of 76, sprawled back on the roof, looking unusually relaxed. Caption: "A miracle."]
Peace, doctor. I would not truly agitate him. I've seen enough to know he is a good man, despite the rough exterior.
[Frankly, it reminds him of someone... but that feels like chasing ghosts, for how little Genji has to back it up. Regardless, it's why he's attempting to have a zen moment with 76.]
I am well. It's good to be back with Overwatch. I couldn't properly appreciate it back then, but now I can see the kindness and warmth of the people here.
[He'd been too angry, too grieved, too horrified to let Overwatch feel like home, despite the best attempts of those around him to help him adjust. It's nice, to have another chance to repay that kindness, to see that Overwatch's downfall didn't ruin the spirit of why it was established in the first place.]

[ You can bet ur perfect butt she's smiling at that picture!! Dad and Son are getting along just fine; her worries were for naught. ]
I'm glad for that. It's good to have you back at my side and to see you flourishing.
[ The guilt from seeing him struggling had almost been overwhelming before, so to see him accepting what had become of his body at her hands is a deep relief; Overwatch played dirty in recruiting tactics and hadn't left either of them much of a choice. Mercy would have done everything in her power to save him, but there is a point where one is even beyond her skill with the staff. To withhold the resources for higher technology from her usage until he'd agreed to join... that had been filthy. She'd felt filthy. It had clearly not been the life he'd envisioned living from that point on and if Zenyatta hadn't become part of the man's life, where would he be now?
It's a scary thought. But he had found peace. For that she's grateful. ]
ironically the only reason i was doing it is because i was playing overwatch
[It had been a long, rough time with Zenyatta, learning to let go of the pain, learning how to live again. But in the end he'd come out of it for the better. In a way, it was a relief to him to be able to come back to Overwatch; he hadn't always been a kind man in his suffering, had been certain he'd burned bridges behind him when he left after its collapse. He's looking forward to spending the first steps of his second rebirth moving forward with Overwatch once again.]
I am a new man. Although, I suppose, perhaps not *too* new.
[He did admit to being a little troll after all.]
Regardless, it is good to be back with you as well. I look forward to working with you once more. But what of you, doctor? Have you been well?

2. You kept chewing on the empty milk carton and saying "kitty" over and over again. It was an interesting night.
3. Text him.

Did anyone else see?!?!?!

But no, no one else saw it.
[That isn't a guarantee that Genji didn't record it, however.]

And it wasn't cute! I was completely inebriated and making an utter fool of myself! If anyone were to find out...
[Gods, he'd just die of humiliation, for sure.]

[He's keeping the recording though.]
I refuse to budge from my position of it being cute, however.

[ Who are they talking about?? Probably 76, at this point. TFLN thread continuity get!! ]
Are you all right? You haven't been taunting him, I hope.
i love how this keeps evolving, bless you
I am fine, as is he. He's resting at the moment; I don't imagine scaling a wall while inebriated agreed with him entirely.
I can't imagine why you would accuse me of such a thing, Dr. Ziegler.
[Taunting 76... no... he's an innocent little cyborg...]
it's all in a day's work
