You're a pop star, or a royal, or maybe even the last of your kind who will bring about the Earth's redemption. Whatever the case may be, you're in a position that may be a bit dicey if you attract the wrong kind of attention.
And you're a bodyguard, a soldier, a knight - a protector. Somehow, you've been roped into protecting this person. You'll be rewarded, of course. The work may be cut out for you, but just do your job, keep your head down, and it'll go smooth.
Except for when the two of you break the bounds of professionalism and feelings begin to flourish. Being in such close quarters may get you to see the other in a different light, and saving someone's life just may be the ultimate form of intimacy.
Could this be the real danger? To feel so strongly for the one you've sworn to protect...are you compromised?
How to Play 1. Comment with your character and preferences, being sure to put if you want to play the guard, the guarded, or either. Also, you may want to put if you prefer fluffy, angsty, or smutty interaction - or have no preference. 2. Comment to others. 3. There are no prompts, because there are so many potential options there could be a hundred. Feel free to play anything: the beginnings of the relationship, just meeting, getting used to each other/not getting along at first, the obligatory first time, a threat on the protected's life and how their protector responds, how the feelings between the two has changed the protection, etc. Your only limit is you. |

I see.
[And she was pregnant.
... this was going to be fun nine months.]
no subject
It's... a long story. A very... long and complicated story. [She's not crazy, okay Suzaku? She's not going to go batshit like that during the pregnancy. Hopefully. Just the normal kind of batshit. Promise, just normal kind of batshit.]
It's... I don't even know if I can discuss it in a place like this. [Since it sort of does pertain to him too as Knight of Zero.] Just know that... once we get out of here, I'll give you the whole story. And know that I won't be putting people into comas during this... Just trust me.
no subject
[Which was the truth. Everything was complicated. It was kind of how they worked.]
You and him, right?
[Because he knows that Lelouch is involved somehow, he always was. It was something that irritated him to no end, but was also something so Lelouch, he really couldn't be surprised.
He opens his mouth to say more, when he hears a voice yell from outside.]
no subject
[Now she hears the voice outside, turning her head to see what was going on.]
no subject
Oh, Gino. Really. Did you have to be so loud?
He glances back over his shoulder at Ryou.]
The back?
no subject
[Okay, just act natural, while everyone else was distracted. Might even be slowly back away towards it, still trying to look like nothing is wrong.]
Yeah... through the back...
no subject
[He gently takes her elbow and leads her over, glancing back out the window and meeting Gino's eyes. He nods once towards the back and the blond grins, turning his attention back to his distraction.]
Don't worry, Gino will give us more then enough cover.
no subject
[Swipe of the items, swipe of the card. It was just that easy. She took the bag and receipt and continued quietly towards the back while everyone was distracted.]
Is Gino is supposed to meet up with us once we're out?
no subject
[But Suzaku trusts that he will. Gino was a Knight of the Round, after all. Even with his laid back attitude, Gino was one of the best and Suzaku knew it.
He glances around at the other patrons in the store, making sure they were thoroughly distracted as he led Ryou out of the store.]
no subject
Sorry... about all of this. Probably not what you expected from a shopping trip, huh?
no subject
[It's said with a casual shrug of the shoulder. He really doesn't mind, to be honest, but he know that now he's going to have to reevaluate some things.
And have a long sit down talk with Lelouch while he was at it.]
He leads her towards the back of the store, slipping through the crowd who was too busy paying attention to the events outside.]
Now I know why he specially ordered me to go with you, though.
no subject
Probably just for today, though. You already look after Lelouch and Nunnally...
no subject
[He glances over at her.]
If there's one thing that Lelouch takes seriously, it's protecting those he considers his family. You've seen what he will do in order to protect them. The world has seen what he will do, to protect them.
no subject
He definitely does care. He cares... a lot. [Maybe even too much sometimes...]
no subject
[And Suzaku says that a someone who doubted him at one time.]
I will admit, often times, his actions have made me wonder. Especially during the rebellion.
[Euphemia especially. But he had gotten the truth out of Lelouch and had it confirmed, enigmatically of course, by C.C.]
no subject
He always seems to be twelve steps ahead of everyone else. It's a little difficult to follow along sometimes when he thinks so fast...
no subject
[There's a bit of a pause.]
There's only one person I've ever really seen operate on that level of strategic maneuvering before. His brother, Schneizel.
no subject
I don't think I've met him. I only really know Nunnally and I know a little bit about Cornelia. Other than those two, I don't know much else about Lelouch's other half brothers and sisters. I know will have to at least meet them in the coming months, once word really gets out...[Something she's not really looking forward to.]
no subject
[Suzaku leads her out the back door, his hand still on her elbow. He pauses for a moment or two, taking in their surroundings.]
You probably will, yes. Don't worry if you don't remember most of them, to be honest, I'm not sure if Lelouch does either.
[He's joking of course, but anything to get Ryou to give him a least a little smile.]
no subject
[Well, it does get a little bit of one out of her. You can count that as a small victory, Suzaku. Oh hey, a fire escape. They can probably get down to the street level from there and escape those thugs without any notice what so ever.]
There are so many of them... I'm surprised he can remember the ones that he does with how quickly his mind works. Makes me wonder if he does slip up sometimes and calls someone by the wrong name. [Like a grandmother that has a lot of grandchildren and they all start blending together after a while. She pauses.]
Do you have any siblings, Suzaku?
no subject
Knowing him, he probably has about twelve back up plans in place in the event he does forget.
[He reaches the bottom and and holds out his arms for her.]
No, I was an only child. The closest relative in age to me was my cousin, Kaguya.
no subject
[Of course, the ladder doesn't reach all the way to the ground, so there's a bit of a drop for her. Don't mind the small gasp when she drops into your arms. She's not used to being caught whenever she drops down like that.]
W-were the two of you close?
no subject
[He wraps his arms around her for a moment as he catches her, before lowing her to the ground, making sure she's steady before letting go.
At her question, he gives a half-hearted shrug.]
We were supposed to be married, arranged marriage after all. It didn't work out with Britannia invading and my joining the military. After that, what was left of the Kururugi/Sumeragi family pretty much disowned me.
no subject
Ah, I'm... sorry to hear that.
[Thinking of family, she doesn't even remember if she's seen her extended family in the last few years, ever since her father became an Honorary Britannian to continue his research in history. Matter of fact, she hasn't seen him in a long time either. She sincerely hoped that the Spirit had nothing to do with that.]
I think... my father was disowned as well... for wanting to continue his research under Britannia's name. I do remember my mother being furious for the longest time.
A lot of it is... hazy for me though. A lot of memories from my childhood aren't very clear.
no subject
[At Ryou's apology, he gives a slight shrug.]
What's done is done.
[And it's true too. He and Kaguya had seen each other in passing, of course, considering her role in the UFN and his own as the right hand man of the Emperor of Britannia.]
I'm sure my father would have been less then pleased.
[But considering that Suzaku himself had killed him, there really wasn't much he could say.]
