You're a pop star, or a royal, or maybe even the last of your kind who will bring about the Earth's redemption. Whatever the case may be, you're in a position that may be a bit dicey if you attract the wrong kind of attention.
And you're a bodyguard, a soldier, a knight - a protector. Somehow, you've been roped into protecting this person. You'll be rewarded, of course. The work may be cut out for you, but just do your job, keep your head down, and it'll go smooth.
Except for when the two of you break the bounds of professionalism and feelings begin to flourish. Being in such close quarters may get you to see the other in a different light, and saving someone's life just may be the ultimate form of intimacy.
Could this be the real danger? To feel so strongly for the one you've sworn to protect...are you compromised?
How to Play 1. Comment with your character and preferences, being sure to put if you want to play the guard, the guarded, or either. Also, you may want to put if you prefer fluffy, angsty, or smutty interaction - or have no preference. 2. Comment to others. 3. There are no prompts, because there are so many potential options there could be a hundred. Feel free to play anything: the beginnings of the relationship, just meeting, getting used to each other/not getting along at first, the obligatory first time, a threat on the protected's life and how their protector responds, how the feelings between the two has changed the protection, etc. Your only limit is you. |

Ah, I'm... sorry to hear that.
[Thinking of family, she doesn't even remember if she's seen her extended family in the last few years, ever since her father became an Honorary Britannian to continue his research in history. Matter of fact, she hasn't seen him in a long time either. She sincerely hoped that the Spirit had nothing to do with that.]
I think... my father was disowned as well... for wanting to continue his research under Britannia's name. I do remember my mother being furious for the longest time.
A lot of it is... hazy for me though. A lot of memories from my childhood aren't very clear.

[At Ryou's apology, he gives a slight shrug.]
What's done is done.
[And it's true too. He and Kaguya had seen each other in passing, of course, considering her role in the UFN and his own as the right hand man of the Emperor of Britannia.]
I'm sure my father would have been less then pleased.
[But considering that Suzaku himself had killed him, there really wasn't much he could say.]
no subject
But, like you said, what's done is done now. We can't rewrite the past to please everyone.
no subject
We can't, no. The only thing left is to keep moving forward.
[Which was funny, coming from the kid who had spent most of his childhood after he had killed his father with a death wish. But this was his penance, to live on despite the blood on his hands. As it was Lelouch's as well, he reflected. At first, he had wanted the other's death - in order to make up for what had happened to Euphie - but as things had snowballed, he found himself forgiving Lelouch when he had seen with his own two eyes how much he had wanted to shape the world, to make it the gentler, kinder one that Nunnally had desired.
How fair was it that he would live to see it but Lelouch wouldn't?]
Hold our heads high and keep walking, no matter what life throws at us.

[She does wonder if they will meet up with Gino any time soon, or if he's dispatched the thugs by now. She hoped so, at least.
no subject
He stops at the side of the building, glancing around it, before his shoulders heave and he turns back, his eyes looking up as he lets out a sigh.]
I really need to have a talk with him about the meaning of 'don't make a scene.'
[If Ryou looks past Suzaku, she'll see that the blond Knight has laid out all the ruffians. Except for the one that Anya is sitting on as she updates her pictures.]
no subject
[Yeah, you really need to have that talk with him...]
It's probably impossible to walk past them, pretending that we don't know them, isn't it? [They were expecting them, after all.]
no subject
Probably, yes. This is Gino after all.
[Really, he asked you to do one thing, Gino. ONE THING.]
I'm half tempted to try it though. Maybe he'll get the idea then.
no subject
...You could think of it like a stealth mission? Like, if you had to sneak out a diplomat without the enemy noticing, how would you do it? Especially if the enemy is highly trained? [Was she seriously suggesting ditching Gino? Possibly.]
no subject
If we're going stealth, then we sneak around.
no subject
Just tell me where to go and I'll follow your lead.
no subject
And it wasn't like they were going far, they were just taking the long away around.]
We're going to sneak around and surprise them from the other direction.
no subject
Maybe even make up an excuse as to why we were delayed in meeting them. [Just say she got sick and it took longer than expected to get out. It could work, considering how bad off she was the last few weeks.]
no subject
He gives an undignified snort.]
I wouldn't worry about it, he'll probably be late in meeting us, anyway. We'll hit the rendezvous point before he will.
no subject
[Who knows when their two parties will meet up... Still, it was a fun idea, arriving late on purpose.]
Where is the rendezvous point?
no subject
A block from the bookstore. The original plan had been to sneak out without a confrontation then have Gino pick us up.
[His features tighten somewhat.]
As much as he can be a flake, I'm sure he or Anya saw something that made them change the plans without informing me.
no subject
Wonder what they saw, if it warranted them to go against the original plan... [Probably something to ask once they actually did meet up.]
no subject
You didn't recognize them at all?
no subject
[But, since they were in a back alley with no other people around (supposedly), maybe it was time to tell Suzaku the truth. Quietly, she pulled out a notebook and started drawing a circular sort of shape with a pyramid in middle.]
You said that you're not really familiar with the Millennium Items, right? [She finishes up the small doodle, almost a perfect representation of the real thing. She could probably sculpt it from memory with how well she knew all of it's little crevices and parts.] But does this look familiar to you? [The Spirit did have a tendency to wear it openly when he's in control.]
I may not recognize them, but I have a feeling they know about this Item and what it can do.
no subject
It does, yes.
[He thinks it's something that Charles had mentioned to him in passing once.
The moment Gino picks up, Suzaku's barking out orders, mostly about detaining them and transporting them back to the palace. He has a feeling that Lelouch is going to want to have a word with them.]
no subject
...It's mine. I ...'own' it.
no subject
Ryou said it was part of the reason Lelouch was keeping her around after all.
He raises and eyebrow at this.]
And that's the reason that you could have possible 'done' things to them, right?
no subject
Yes. Possibly could have done a lot of things to them. I just don't any specifics, or even when I could have met them...
no subject
[He knows Lelouch will use his Geass on the thugs if he has to. And Suzaku knows that for something like this, he can't argue against it.]
no subject
[On the journey back to the palace, she was quiet again, only speaking when spoken to. She had a lot of explaining to do once they met up with Lelouch anyway, she knew. The trick was keeping herself together until then.]
